Massive coldboxes cross Ohio in superloads to Intel fab site

With the help of Ohio state and local authorities, Intel made multiday trips during the summer of 2024 to move four 384,000-pound air separation units needed for new semiconductor manufacturing factories. Heavy haulers and a swarm of bucket trucks transported each “superload” from the Ohio River near Manchester, Ohio, to the Intel Ohio One campus in New Albany.
