I used to be a stay at home mom. I gave up my career to do it. When my youngest was old enough to go to school, I decided to work part time during school hours because I wanted to be available when they got out of school. Anyway, I went to work in the bakery of a grocery store. One day they needed help making subs in the deli so i went over to help. One customer seriously called me an idiot because I wasn't sure about something. I totally lost it on him. I told him just because he's wearing a suit and is on the other side of the counter that doesn't make him better than me. We both put our pants on the same way every morning. I was managing a restaurant a few years back and a Karen purposely started a verbal argument with my staff who happened to be all black people working in the front, and all Mexican people working in the kitchen. This woman in my opinion was purposely trying to get one of the employees to physically assault her so she could sue the restaurant by using offensive racial language towards them. A while ago, I saw someone up in the face of a young female employee, screaming at her. I had walked in mid-screaming and never found out what was going on. Soon, a big guy who worked with her came around, grabbed the woman and THREW her headfirst through the door which another employee had opened for that reason. The lady hit the pavement and skidded and people inside applauded it. Nobody had their cell phones out for that and I sort of wish someone had
I worked with the public my whole life and 95% of people are great but 1 time a customer hit me in the face with their checkbook when I told her we couldn't take an out of state check which was on a huge sign behind the counter. This is the 5% that ruins a workers day!
Your family member dying is never going to justify calling someone the N word. And those idiots in the fast food business were loitering, and harassing the Corporate Manager. No matter someone’s age and gender, that never gives them any right to talk down to another human being.
As someone who’s worked in food, both F+B of house, I can say for certain this woman has many, many forms. Young, old, black, white, male or female. People are truly unhinged and don’t think twice about their impact on those around them.
Doesn't give them a license to, no. But showing empathy & taking care of the issue another way would help. Older people have shorter everything. Short tempers, shorter memories, shorter patience levels, shortness of breath, shorter lifespans... give them a break! If you can't do that, then try to remember next time you piss off an old person, "life in prison" is less a deterrent the older we get! 😆 🤣 😂
I love the comment in the video “you can’t raise your voice.” Like it’s okay to scream at someone who is working but they can’t scream back. How about I come find you at work then and scream at you?
Craig was waaaaaay nicer than he had to be, in my opinion. When the daughter starts explaining the other family members are at that hotel he literally says "I understand that"... as a former service employee I can assure you at that point of the conversation I would have be going with "I don't give af"
It would have been funny if he thanked her for bringing that to his attention and told her that he would promptly tell the rest of them to leave as well if there was an issue.
I've lost several grandparents over the years and never felt the need to act like a racist piece of shit. Weird how that works, huh? It's almost like she called him the n-word because she's a terrible person and not because of grief.
"you can't raise your voice" yes. Yes you can. Anyone swearing at a worker is subject to a raised voice. All of those people needed to leave. "This is going to corporate." How about you grow up and deal with having to see people not take crap from abusive people.
I walked out of my job at Walmart because I was out writing cars up for oil changes when this random ford truck was outside. This was after I had to show a now unhappy customer his rim is cracked therefore not going to hold air on his new tire. I happened to go inside to check and see if anyone was behind the register the owner of the ford screams “ I’ve been here for 15 minutes while you’re out doing nothing, I just want a fucking patch in my tire” first thing I said was to go outside so I can write her up. She refused and asked for the manager. Then I raised my voice because she wouldn’t shut up long enough to understand I need the vehicles VIN number and license plate to be put in the system, along with signing to authorize. Well a manager was right around the corner, and he sided with her so I walked out. This is after I reported my supervisor for being shitty to her workers, then after I did she became worse… retaliation… store policy. And nobody above her cares for me even though I have a nickname “road runner” because I’m everywhere helping everyone. Walmart doesn’t deserve me somewhere that pays more for quality work does
Good for you Nathan, you should not work for a manager that doesn't support his/her employees. You should tell all the employees you are still friends with why you left and encourage them to do the same. The days of the customer always being right is over, employers need employees just as badly as people that need jobs. Best wishes.
All these workers are heroes. I had to call out a belligerent customer at Walgreens the man was rude to the cashier. Everyone told him get the hell out. The entire line.
I'm so sick of people treating fast food workers like they are garbage. The truth is they have a job! They are working vs sitting on their ass and getting a free ride. They are working and should be respected. A job is a job is a job. This looking down on certain jobs has got to stop! They work and should be respected.
Agreed, but fast food staff also need to realize they work in the service industry at a FAST food restaurant. I've seen more rude staff at fast food places than I have rude customers. Shoot, I've even had some black girl refuse to even take my order in Gary IN while the rest of the staff heckled me and my wife for being white. “It’s above me now.” I like that.
I want to see the rule that says you CANNOT raise your voice at a customer that is raising their voice at you and cussing you out. Never seen that rule.
It's the "rule karens make up on the fly" rule.....
Neither have I lol. You know for a fact that these Karen’s wouldn’t let someone come to their job and treat them like shit, so why would anyone else?
It's a company rule...not a legal rule
@@reginaldhubert2831 Show me this rule.
You treat my staff & me like shit, and shout at them and me, I'm coming straight back at you the same way. Treat people the way you wish to be treated, and hopefully, nobody will shout back at you
As a 46y white guy I am so f*cking sick & tired of other adults telling me what I can & cannot do, I'm tired of people acting like a spoiled toddler when they don't get their way, racist anything has no place anywhere & is reprehensible, I agree with the guy that said "I am corporate" when he said "you people think that just because you're on that side of the counter makes you special & it doesn't!" He's absolutely correct too! WTF happened to this country / world!!! I actually hate having to go out anywhere anymore for just these reasons shown here!
Agreed why is it so hard for people to be decent? You don't even have to be "nice" if your having a bad day, just be decent. When I say we're out of something and I already checked for that popular item multiple times, I'm not being lazy, I'm telling I know it's not back there and it's NOT MY FAULT we don't have it.
@@horsewings3561 exactly, I was at the Dr's office & the ladies at the front desk were telling me how rude people are etc. I said "yeah, because it's like you got up this morning, looked at the list of patients for the day & said" I'm going to not take this one's insurance, this one's copay etc" it's ridiculous!" They laughed, but said unfortunately that's exactly the way the vast majority act...
I've gotten old enough that my filter is wore out as well as my offensameter. Growing up we called it as we saw it. Didnt have safe spaces and all the crap that everyone is magically supposed to know is offensive. I'm personally done with the idiotic mental patients running everything and the validation thats expected to be given to them. Just my 2c
Man I wish I had the chance to stick up for someone like this every time I went out then I wouldn’t be such a hermit. Lol
If you’re tired of being told what you can and cannot do why are telling people not to be racist? Do you tell black people to not be racist too? Is there anything about you that’s consistent? I don’t think you’re necessarily being told what to do I think you might just hate America. I mean you obviously don’t believe in the freedom of speech… And there’s a certain type of etiquette to everything you do here like driving, how you act when you’re at the store, tipping your bartender, waitress, barber etc… When you take all of those tiny examples and ball them up it’s called culture. So again. I don’t think you’re being told what to do. I just think you might hate America. Not a fact, just my opinion.
“Guys am I corporate? See I am corporate” was savage 😂
I’d of said, not only am I corporate, I’m the chairman of the board.
“It’s above me now” 😂😂
I worked with the public my whole life and 95% of people are great but 1 time a customer hit me in the face with their checkbook when I told her we couldn't take an out of state check which was on a huge sign behind the counter. This is the 5% that ruins a workers day!
Being old is not an excuse to be rude....
Your family member dying is never going to justify calling someone the N word. And those idiots in the fast food business were loitering, and harassing the Corporate Manager. No matter someone’s age and gender, that never gives them any right to talk down to another human being.
Customers are all out of line. These poor workers should never have to take any verbal abuse.
As someone who’s worked in food, both F+B of house, I can say for certain this woman has many, many forms. Young, old, black, white, male or female. People are truly unhinged and don’t think twice about their impact on those around them.
"My mother died."
"I understand but you called me a n-word."
Yeah, why would those two things be at all connected? My mother died... it didn't have me calling folks out their names. IJS...
Imagine having to beg an F-N for a room after calling him that. I love that he has put her in her place and has taught her a little humility.
Love, she will never have humility. As soon as she steps away from him, she will start spewing racist crap all over again. Which is truly sad! 😿
I am with the workers.
Must feel good to deny service to someone who is in fact racist.
Women like this manager should held in the highest regard and should be openly praised in public
“In the climate we live in today, it’s above me” 😂😂😂
They are elderly when it is convenient to them... They werent elderly when they were cursing...
"Its above me now" CLASSIC!!
Being elderly doesn’t give license to be rude or belligerent.
To that BK manager...
YOU RULE
I worked for fast food for Years.
Elderly people were the Worst customers.
I love the comment in the video “you can’t raise your voice.” Like it’s okay to scream at someone who is working but they can’t scream back. How about I come find you at work then and scream at you?
Great point.
I was a manager at a McDonald’s for 2 years. I always defended my staff when I knew they did nothing wrong.
"I am corporate" ...love that!
Craig technically violated wire tap law by surreptitiously listening in on a private conversation through the phone.
Well if he's a N he's also G
I’m sorry, fast food workers do not get paid enough to deal with this shit. People, it’s not hard to respect people.
only in america would someone tell someone else off for defending themselves.
I've lost several grandparents over the years and never felt the need to act like a racist piece of shit. Weird how that works, huh? It's almost like she called him the n-word because she's a terrible person and not because of grief.
Poor guy, I hope he knows that only the people who hate themselves are racist, which isn’t the entire US. None of my family is racist 🤟🏻
Good for you!
We just left, but it is frustrating that unskilled children require so much "respect." How about you heat up the fries and make the damn cheeseburgers, then you can get some respect there godfather lol.
@@Vidarboots Then be prepared to get your food spat on 😂
@@lkb-il8iy Be prepared to have it spit on if I what? Leave because they're rude? Stay in school... or be prepared to work in fast food your entire life 😂
They think he's not allowed to raise his voice after they act like assholes? Psht, what a eye opening event for these people.
Respect is EARNED.... not a given. Respect the employees and they will respect you.
Racist Women :
PLEASE- I had a horrible day
Brooks: & I had a horrible time hearing that 😂❤❤
Consequences for these childish adults need to be swift and charged with trespassing if they don't leave.
Best Western is next door. Take your trash somewhere else 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Number one rule in life. No one is more important than anyone else. All people who abuse workers either by other workers or by customers is an offence. No one is above the law.
The corporate guy ❤️ stand your ground.
I AM CORPORATE!!! Haha I am so glad I do don’t do Customer Service anymore
The onlookers fail to understand that no one has to take verbal abuse. They can talk to local law enforcement. Employees are not your dogs.
The customers aren’t always right.
“You can’t yell at customers “… BULLSHIT!! Service workers DO NOT have to tolerate disrespect, insults, or ANY type of racism!! It’s ridiculous to think you can treat people like that with no consequences
Thank everyone who stands up for front line workers
