      I have been saying something of that nature for several years now, knowing I probably heard it from someone else.
      If we were good enough to get mad at a game, such as golf, WE, would be on tv.
      Its just a game. Go out have fun, remember your good shots, not the bad, right.
      Its just a game.

    So much wisdom on display. Thank you for the gems.
    From you dad: “You’re not good enough to get mad.”
    From you: “It is never too late in the round to hit your best shot.”
    Great thoughts to keep in mind and stay on course.

    I could watch you play Spyglass Hill every week. Though I’ve only played it on simulator at my local TopGolf, it’s my favorite track too. I’ve always appreciated your relaxed approach to playing this “game”. So much so, that I’ve adopted it myself and it’s done wonders to keeping some rounds from completely going sideways at times. All the best with your golfing journey and I look forward to future content!

    As someone who’s home course is Bethpage Black, this is the one course that I have played that stands superior to it imo. Can totally understand the fear over every shot as the same thing happens to me. Played about two dozen rounds at Bethpage and two at spyglass just for reference. Love your content!!

    At 09:52 you describe your approach as "183 in, playing 195, all carry, so I'm hitting a 200 club and I have to hit all of it". The ball seems to be in the rough. Is this a situation where you maybe took on a shot that you don't really have, and should instead have considered laying up to a comfortable distance in to the green?

    • @NotAScratchGolfer
      @NotAScratchGolfer  11 месяцев назад +2

      Yeah you're right on here. Given how difficult the lies in the rough were, I probably would have been better going iron wedge there.
