I always found medieval Teutonic Knights to be about 100x more badass than the Bushido Samurais. Knights are these big German/French dudes wearing these cool ass metal suits of armor while wielding giant broadswords and are fighting for something that they truly believe is right and divine. Samurais just seem like a bunch of edgy Asian twats wearing armor that looks... ok... I guess, except for the helmet which makes them look like the main bad guy from Space Balls. The Katana looks ok but I’m not personally a huge fan of curved swords so it’s just not my thing. This is just my opinion though so feel free to call me a Westaboo.
It’s Latin... I’m a huge fan of the celts and even I admit that Latin is still one of the most badass languages ever (better than its modern descendants too)

It encapsulates the knights perfectly: they may be warriors, but they do not look for war for its own sake. The Vikings brought it to their doorstep, creating Apollyon in their thirst for conquest and creating the circumstances that allowed her to gain her power. And now that Apollyon is dead, those same Vikings who did nothing but be her perfect catspaws ensured the war would continue. They know full well how horrible war is, yet they must fight, and this chant captures that melancholy perfectly. Cack, in context the 'deus vult' isn't some boast or proud declaration of a crusade, but a tired admittance that "we can't explain it other than saying God has some plan". So they fight: for their homes, for their families, for the Iron Legion, and for the hope that perhaps one day peace can return... perhaps. The words aren't related. The noun 'bellum' (war) comes from the ancient 'duellum' (fight), while the adjective 'bellus' (beautiful) is a later form of an unattested word with a similar meaning.

The Knights of Ashfeld have always been my favorite faction, and I’ve remained a loyal member of it for as long as I can remember. Technological wonders like the flying bridge thing in the story, honorable, yet brutal warriors of the blade, heck, they even have a fantasy esque knight in the form of the vortiger, a Prince Charming with his sword and shield! My faction may be behind, but I love it to death.
I am not a For Honor player, but I heard that song for the first time in an other YT video. Pretty epic. I went to listen to the Viking and Samurai chants, and I can say the Knight chant is by far my favorite. I could totally imagine an Roman Legion march to this... or a chapter of Space marines!

The Knights of Ashfeld have always been my favorite faction, and I’ve remained a loyal member of it for as long as I can remember. Technological wonders like the flying bridge thing in the story, honorable, yet brutal warriors of the blade, heck, they even have a fantasy esque knight in the form of the vortiger, a Prince Charming with his sword and shield!
My faction may be behind, but I love it to death.
