    • @mischevious
      @mischevious День назад +1

      @mishamira9176Insurance companies canceled 70% of Pacific Palisades policies because they can’t raise rates high enough to cover the wildfire risk to all those multimillion dollar homes.
      As they’ve canceled policies in other high priced high risk areas including most of Florida and the gulf coast because the sea is rising and the hurricanes are getting more powerful.
      All of it is of course caused by an overheated atmosphere, human driven climate change.
      Because we presume to manage nature like our subservient B but can’t be moved to manage our own activities: population growth, development, consumption.
      Before the climate change deniers pile on they should be aware that they only exist in the US where the fossil fuel propaganda is thick. And that they’re the only 2% of global population, still denying the science that the rest of us can now see plainly with our own eyes.

      @@mischevious Thanks for sharing *However, you will probably agree, based on forest fires, for example, that leaves, needles and branches are ignited first, and not in the opposite order, first TRUNKS and at 2/3 of their height, when the leaves are still doing perfectly well...? This is simply an abnormal and very suspicious phenomenon, indicating that the cause of ignition is not high ambient temperature... but may be an unidentified and of course invisible electromagnetic microwave...* This can be checked in... a microwave, but who would want to burn something in their home microwave? Many will listen to and trust the deep state media

    • @mischevious
      @mischevious 13 часов назад +1

      @@Kurkuma10 Actually the atmosphere is desiccating landscapes now, heat domes drying drought stricken trees to a crisp in a few short days. So while you’re correct about previous ignition conditions, that doesn’t apply anymore, in these extreme fires crispy tree canopies are spontaneously combusting as soon as the embers start flying. In the Ventura Thomas fire I watched eucalyptus trees combust and burn to ash in seconds, instantly igniting nearby multimillion dollar homes, which were consumed in under a minute each. Wild!
      Fires used to burn at roughly 1,500F, now it’s 2,200F. Travel speed of a fast moving fire was around 15MPH, now 60MPH. I suspect this is due not only to desiccated landscapes but also to increasingly heavy atmospheric concentrations of oxidizers. An explosive mix!

The lack of FD attack on PCH is just another of a million examples of gross incompetence and lack of planning organization and leadership. Watching FD just roll by as SOUTH side of PCH lights up is unbelievable. NONE of those properties needed to burn....period. Feel so bad for the line firefighters who just wanted the tools and leadership to do their jobs. If you've ever known one, they live for this work. It must have killed them to be totally unable to execute their jobs, which they see as a duty. Things are teetering on the brink and nobody's at the wheel. Cheap slogans, platitudes, feel-good bromides, and bogus corrupt-posing-as-progessive agendas are great. When you have the luxury to afford them. When you actually need leadership and governance with substance....not so much. Anyway, no need to beat that obvious horse. So sad for my hometown...it's in very serious trouble. And thanks for posting these vids of unfolding in real time. Mind boggling. Take care brother.

    From a New York Times article last year.. After a series of downpours over the past week dumped up to nine inches of rain on the San Gabriel Mountains, some 8.4 billion gallons were impounded behind 14 large dams, easing floods and building up valuable stores of water for the drier summer months ahead. But in a state that is weathering a crippling, multiyear drought, much larger streams of water - estimated at tens of billions of gallons - have been rushing in recent days straight into the Pacific Ocean, a devastating conundrum for a state whose future depends on holding on to any drop it can!
