I'm halfway through the story and it sounds like an absolutely wonderful and very special time! Very much looking forward to hearing the rest of the story soon. But just as important, nobody has said anything about that awesome outfit, I'm not sure if it's a shirt or light jacket? It's fantastic... adore the popsicle pattern.
Hi Ingrid, wow that sounds like such a cool experience - going to a place you can't find on a map and all those lovely people you met 😊 But I have to admit I thought to myself recently wow you're doing a LOT of extroverting the past weeks 😂 I'm in that place myself now, loads of socialising due to studying and friends. I'm mainly socialising with introverts but even so - I am developing a bit of a tremble and a shake and need to have a few days alone somehow! I remember I used to try and have 4 days in a row of not seeing people to heal and I'd feel better after, perhaps I need to do that soon. On the other hand I can do a few days in a row of socialising too, as long as I find moments to get away. Three days of socialising is surely my maximum amount...anyway I loved hearing these stories and that's the great thing about extroverting, they become great memories and stories to reflect upon in your introverted times.
Pretty long fuse now. I've been practicing extending it for decades though. Since my mid-thirties. Post over-exposure (mega-depletion)? Anime. Napping. Music. Quiet time (ALONE) in nature. Time with my cat (cats are great;). Simple meditation to 'recharge' all the positive energy and 'flush' all the negative. For me, the older I got the more my endurance and the easier the recovery. No more migraines. My daughters are all IN's so there's no issues around them at all. It's nice to have other non-Extroverts to be around when you are like this. Sounds like you have a lot of people who care about you when you get overextended, which is nice. Not many of us have those kind of situations. From the description you did quite a LOT with a large number of people, Ingrid. Kudos!
oh wow yeah i'm not there yet with my extroversion, i hope to be able to extend it more. Great tips! I know i'm very lucky to be surrounded by such lovely people :) Most of my friends are introverts so it's pretty low key.
@@radishraven9 Yeah, I'm like a camel now - I can go 2-3 weeks at a time, often taking little 'sips' of introverted recharging during the day. You are getting there though. That was pretty darn good endurance you described! It's an acquired skill. Enjoy Scotland! I've never been and I'd like to some day!
Hey Ingrid! Good to see you and catch up a bit. That's beautiful...continually creating new memories while referring to the old ones and continually forming identity from/through them. We learn how multifaceted our respective natures really are. That is a lot of extroverting for a short time, and one could be surprised how much one could handle, especially when one is mostly the opposite. It sounded like you were surrounded by mostly like minds/hearts even if differing personalities. I love that especially, living a slower experience in nature like that communally. Have only experienced it a few times myself and it's magical when everyone comes together. I'd say too, when things happen truly spontaneously between people, it's easy to forget you're even extroverting. 🙂 Lovely cherry tree memory you related to Bufo P. She and I were just relating about that with dealing with people, Like having to put on and take off continuously a really heavy, cumbersome suit, and how it's a real psychic adjustment each time. Yes, we can really need breaks SO MUCH! Glad you're blessed with good people who sound to really accept you. Yes....one party is enough here....need a day at least alone with just cat companions. 😺 Rest well, and thanks for sharing all this. By the way, very fun top you're wearing. 🙂 -Carm & Rocky kitty who watched
Hi! Thank you so much for the comment! Yes it does feel good and not as draining when you're around lovely wonderful people :) I love the suit metaphor, Bufo talked about it in her latest video. I think it is a bit like what "masking" is for autistic people. We have to put on a suit to handle outside world situations. Say hi to the cats! 😊 PS yes i love my ice cream shirt, it reminds me of the beach and usually wear it to Pride because of the colors 😊
Wow! Haha! 😂 I think that has to be your lurking Te and all the positive impressions along. My fuse is not that long! 😅 But for me, it really depends on a lot of factors. If I am around people I know who are as chilled as me, my social battery should last a week or more. If it's a new activity without any people I know, maybe e.g. 2.5 parties before I crash. Then I can recharge the fastest by: Sleeping > Doing nothing (don't recommend) ~ Taking a walk alone > Listening to my favorite music > Reading on the internet about my present interests > Reading a book (which requires more mental capacity and focus) > Yt >> Doing chores as an almost zombie >>> Partying again. I usually need to find a healthy variety of these. Have fun with your scheduled INTJ homework read 😂 I'm waiting for other comments mentioning cool introverting activities!
hi! yeah it really depends on who im around and what the activity is. I do similar things when i try to wind down. lol i love how you put it as "doing nothing (don't recommend)"! what is your present interest at the moment? :)
@@radishraven9 Hey! Yes, I had to list falling back into doing nothing as an extreme form. It's really recreational until my mind timely nags at me to get up to do something... lol 😅 Usually, my present interests are thematically fast-changing, end in a deep dive, and are technical. My friends have always liked to come to me with all kinds of unique questions because, I guess, I'm tech-savvy and somewhat skilled at looking for answers and keeping the big picture, but sometimes I also get lost in petty stuff. I love the reward of some solution if I find the task not tedious initially. My ISTJ best friend opened an online store on the side this month, where he offers self-printed clothes with his own designs and trademarked logo. He is very entrepreneurial, yet he is always looking for a creative outlet, maybe that is his Fi, and has always been very fashion-oriented. He knows well that I dislike marketing and his promotion on Instagram 😅 I momentarily enjoy helping him with "nasty" issues on his website and shop system 😊
Hah. I think my longest extroverting trips were judo camps of five to six days. And one trail hike of five days in constant contact with others. Exhilarating and exhausting experiences. I am definitely relating to the crash after the event. How is your reading? Just mbti stuff? Btw, I get the feeling you are experiencing progress. Keep it up. 😊
wow that's some long trips! Thank you, I'm reading The Midnight Library by Matt Haig now and watching The Wheel of Time, which has been fun and relaxing :)
Your week sounded so extroverted and busy, can still feel a little of that energy in your presentation, amazing stuff as always Ingrid
extroverted for a whole week omg i need a rest just thinking about it

Haha yeah thanks, Carm noticed it too, i love the beachy vibes of this T-shirt 😊

Yeah lol I'm pretty worn out now, im tired after 2 parties or 3 days of extroverting. Are you studying library science? 😊
@@radishraven9 yeah I am! But only a one-year diploma. Only a few months to go!
