    Thanks for the series! I started busting up when the prisoners broke out. The soothing music and your calm voice contrasted with the sheer chaos of the situation and Bakari "crawling away to safety" was hilarious. It really highlights what makes this game so great!

    Your guide is the best one I've found, friend told me about this game was watching some videos yesterday went ahead and pulled the trigger and bought it and was up until almost 4am playing lmao
    Had to learn a lot of things the hard way and was forgetting some stuff in these videos so I wanted to rewatch them, I really hope you keep making guides especially late game and advanced stuff because the game gets so much crazier and I find myself struggling 😅

    Thanks for taking the time to do a tutorial. This game is very complicated.
    I'm struggling to even know how to select things!
    When you were selecting the dumping stockpile for moving, in order to make your butchering room, I couldn't see how you selected the area. Your mouse cursor was moving so fast and I just couldn't figure out what you were clicking on in order to select the stockpile, or how to move it. There are Marble chunks over it and it's not clear if they are blocking the dumping stockpile, or if there's a way to choose what to select or... ah, I'm sure I'll figure it out :)
    Another thing I can't seem to figure out is how to tell the colonists to go somewhere. Does that option become available once they have been drafted? I couldn't figure out what you were doing when you were drafting Vicky to deal with the knife-wielding Pirate. But it looked like you were able to tell her to go to a location. Perhaps that is possible once they are in 'drafted mode'?
    Don't forget to keep telling the viewers HOW you are doing things, otherwise it just becomes a 'Play-through' instead of a 'Tutorial' and we can't learn anything from what you are showing us.
    But still, it's nice to see how things are done to begin with.

    • @Czardus
      @Czardus  3 месяца назад

      Glad you found it useful!
      When there are multiple items in a spot, clicking on the spot once will grab the top item, and each successive click will select something below it. But don't double click because then you'll select every one of the top items currently in view.
      Yes, you can only "tell colonists to go somewhere" when you've drafted them. When drafted you have control; when not drafted they do tasks according to the priorities.

    i understand that there is no way, but still would be awesome if you respond to my question - 1'st minute of the video - you mined things out to build there so you have more defence ? Sicne it's way better than just walling, right ?

    • @Czardus
      @Czardus  7 месяцев назад +1

      I sometimes will mine like that to preserve the fertile land as well as for defense because yes the rock walls are stronger than a wooden wall (plus they are fireproof!). However, you do run a risk of unleashing some bad stuff if you mine too much so you must be careful. :-)

    Thanks for the guide! Question: Can you put a stove in the fridge room without affecting temperatures? When the asshole prisoner escaped and took Vicky's gun! I WAS SHOCKED!!!!

    • @Czardus
      @Czardus  8 месяцев назад

      The problem with putting the stove in the fridge/freezer is more about needing a clean area for cooking. You want to have your kitchen as clean as possible to limit food poisoning chances.
      I was shocked by that turn of events too, but that's part of the fun of the game!

    Honestly I think double dooring and walling the freezer is just pointless. Heat seeking in is never a problem really and if it becomes a burden later with a heatwave, you can always add another cooler.

    • @Czardus
      @Czardus  9 месяцев назад +1

      I’ve actually seen a difference in temperatures between single door and double door. It’s slight but it definitely is there, and when you don’t have batteries yet every degree of cooling is important.

    • @andrex6288
      @andrex6288 9 месяцев назад

      @@Czardus Yeah the difference is there for sure, but I'm arguing it's not worth the effort in build time, materials, space and increased pawn time spent going through multiple doors.

    • @TheFeralFerret
      @TheFeralFerret 9 месяцев назад

      @@Czardus You're right it does make a difference. Doubt I can put links here, but search /r/Rimworld for 'A Definitive Guide to Efficient Freezers'. The data is 1.4 but the OP goes over each freezer format with actual temperature data to conclude which design is most efficient under which circumstances. (basic non overhead mountain single wall vs double wall is a 10c difference)

    • @Czardus
      @Czardus  9 месяцев назад +1

      I definitely don't play for maximum efficiency, so I'll just say that I prefer doing the double door because it seems like what I would do IRL if I were to build a freezer like this. :-)

    • @dannyk6291
      @dannyk6291 9 месяцев назад

      I don't think it's worth it early, but it makes a difference later in how long you have before it warms up if something happens to knock out your power. I usually start single walled but with enough space to expand to double wall later.
