    @mistymidnight4447 3 года назад +24

    Awesome to see someone’s progress from the beginning. I’ve never danced in my life (2 left feet) so I’m relying on muscle memory. Currently on day 2, and the running man is starting to click in my brain without thinking which is good because it’s the thinking part that makes me screw up 🤣 this video gives me hope. Thanks 😊 great job 👍🏻

    • @projectperform

    • @mistymidnight4447
      @mistymidnight4447 3 года назад +1

      @@projectperform thank you! I can only get to 8 steps max before I screw up. On day 3 both of my feet are hurt, bone pain in heels and ankles. So I have to stop before I make it worse. Hope I don’t have to start from scratch all over again 😖

    • @projectperform
      @projectperform  3 года назад +2

      One thing you can do is to practice it very slow so you get the muscle memory good without doing much exercise. But if you get pain you should rest some and try again when its over. You done it for 3 days already so you wont start from The beginning when you get back to it. The body remebers and adjust to the same level pretty fast! 🙌

    Your moves and transitions got better but you are still bouncing...and so am I. Its ok when girls do it(for obvious reasons) but I still haven't figured out how to do the movement with the upper body pogo stick effect. I hate it. There's a running man "stomp" that looks awesome and you can't bounce at all for it to look right. You almost have to "bounce" forward and backward as opposed to up and down. If anyone is watching in 2022, let me know

      @@projectperform ok that gives me a lot of hope actually! I don't practice that much because tbh I thought it would be easier lol but your progress gives me hope! Thank you and have a nice day!

      Thank you! I watched a channel called "Pigmie" and then I just watched other people shuffle and tried to mimic the steps. Good luck !! You got it 👊👊

    I’m going thru the same experience & frustration like yours too... just into 3rd weeks of shuffling. Love the moves, frustrated that hard to get it right, love the music, frustrated with my timing. Just like u, try to piece all the mini mini styles together at least into 4-5 bars of movement. Thank you for sharing your experience knowing that I am not alone.

      Yes always start with smaller steps and piece them together later! Keep on dancing and good luck🙌

    Will you recommend any youtube channel to learn shuffling?

      Thanks! I did just watch a lot of videos of people shuffeling and trying to mimic the steps. But I learned some steps from one channel called "Pigmie". You should check him out.
