Fun fact for ya... At 31:50 the video gets intermittently shaky during the time lapse segment. It took me a minute to figure out what was causing this. The air compressor was sitting too close to the tripod. Every time it would cycle on it would vibrate the camera.

This may be the best video I have made my way back to from today's date of 9/26/22! Your Wife is Beautiful in more than just one way! She supports who you are and what you do, you are a lucky Man, you found a jewel and I think you know it! You guys have the relationship I wish I could have found. Don't let a day of life go by without being thankful for it, small problems are just that, small problems.

So true. I had a plumbing chain fix my blocked sump pump line. They tore up my back yard and left it that way. My landscaping company scolded me for using a plumber. They said "this is what plumbers do! They don't care about your yard. Had you used us, we would have cut out the sod, fixed the line, and replaced the sod pieces for an essentially seamless repair." Instead, I had the pay my landscaper about $1000 to till, rake, and seed the area that the plumber tore up. An expensive lesson learned.

I'm a Locomotive engineer, across the tracks from our yard is the largest non-commercial Locomotive works in the world. They had pigeon problems and so staged a bunch of owl decoys on the works building.
One day, I'm taking a set of engines off a track to go over to the next city west and shove a heavy train back over the hill (we call the jobs "helpers"). As my conductor and I are heading down the yard track to leave, we are passing a coal train on the adjacent track. Perched on one of the coal hoppers is an owl, just starting at us. I thought it was one of those decoys until we actually went passed it, and watched the feathers on its neck ruffle as it turned it's head to watch us go by. Clearances between two trains like that is somewhere between 16-24inches. That owl sat there as two 3,000hp diesel locomotives rumbled by, and only turned it's head to watch us.

One thing I have found out about ‘code’ in older homes is that lots of builders and home owners knew NOTHING about the ‘code’. I have yet to give an estimate on a job and come in under estimate in an older building. Now I have an addendum to the contract that states that any ‘non-code’ (at the time it was built) structure that causes extra work will be billed at $380 per hour. One universal truth: “Bees LOVE electrical wiring!” I’m always amazed that for the lack of $16.00 worth of caulking the whole mess could be avoided. Great job! Great video!

This was especially interesting opening up an old house. The old construction techniques are so different from today, which is also very different from just a few years ago.
BTW, if you recall, I'm the architect who suggested a few months ago that you write a book to tell how to bee proof a house (illustrated with your own outstanding photography skills). If you decide to do that, don't forget to include tips about older houses.
BTW, personally, I really enjoy your music selections.
Thanks for sharing this informative and fun cut out with us!

I do recall. Whether I do a book or not I really should do more photography of these hives.

I really like that you showed the actual comb removal in this video. I've only watched a few of your other videos, and in those videos you only showed a before and after, instead of showing video of the actual comb removal. I like to see the actual comb removal, so I hope that your other videos will show that part as well. Iliked that you also tried to set the house back to how it was before the removal. I'm sure the homeowner appreciated that. This was a good video 👍

I swear, your way of life as a *"BEE Guardian"* is so fascinating! An earlier video i had viewed, you had to be a contortionist! You not only do bee removal/relocation, carpentry, masonry... but you also have a vast amount of knowledge with respect to electricity, in both old and new homes! Is there anything you can't do?! 😂🐝Who knew a beekeeper had all this knowledge under their honeycomb hat!... I thoroughly enjoy all your videos and know how on bees. Thank you for sharing this wealth of information on bees. For sure, you have to be a roving "home improvement store" whilst performing each BEE task!

Randy, great content. Always good to see your beautiful wife along for the job. I'm sure she made the work and the long drive more enjoyable. Those were pissy bees for the temperature. Beautiful thick combs of honey though.

Enjoyed watching the two of you work together! That was some mean queen catching skills! Cracked me up, it’s in the 50s and you have 3 shirts on. We would be in t-shirts over here. 😂

That was a smart great queen catch. Nice to see the Wife along with you and stop the worry about the face, You got a rather important reason. By the way I saw Jeff H. nearly fry himself cutting into a live wire . Funny at the time but he could have been hurt bad.
