My Peterbilt Model Trucks: Different cab/sleeper combinations

- This video shows the most common cab/sleeper configurations out there today on peterbilt trucks. These are mostly Jada 1/32 scale model trucks, but there is some monogram/new ray stuff mixed in too.
The stuff shown here is in order: 1985 359 w. 36'' sleeper, 90's 379 with 36'' sleeper, 90's 379 with 48'' flat-top sleeper, '05+ 379 w/ 63'' flat top sleeper.
Back row R to L: 90's 379 daycab dump, 2004 379 ultracab w/ 48'' standup, 1999 379 w/ ultracab and 63'' sleeper, 2005 379X w/ ultracab and 70'' sleeper, 352 with 63 inch (I think) cab.
The 352 and 359 are monogram snap-tite kits grafted onto other frames.
Now I just need to get a 389 in there somewhere... Авто/Мото
I ordered the junkyard fenders and found a guy who makes custom Resin wheels with the stilletto lug nut covers. Pricey!! $20 for each wheel, but they took a lot of work to make. Ive got three sets of stacks, two bull horn tips and one mitered tip. They are the equivalent of 9" Dynaflex pipes. I also found a guy who makes styrene frame rails for 1/32 models. Now I can stretch them out without going through so much trouble. Ordered some putty from Testors... I think I'm good to go for awhile... I shouldnt be thinking about trucks when I'm not driving them but I guess that means I'm one of the few guys who loves his job.... lucky me... Peace brother. Happy New Year!
Thanks! I built that 359 using the body from an old monogram kit and the chassis from a jada truck. The monogram kit doesn't have an opening hood so that made for a pretty big project, but it was alot of fun.
Not a silly question at all. Most of it comes on other model trucks and I just modify it for what I want. I do make some of my own bespoke stuff though too.
Front fender mudflaps help the stance also... C.B antenas can be made from guitar strings (G string for electric .016 diameter)... just drill hole with Dremel jewelers bit and drop some water and Gorilla glue in there, then paint them. They will look exactly like Firesticks
Those are nice Peterbilt trucks you got JRtransport379 I love the cabover Peterbilt 362
Excellent job!!
NICE trucks bro
lol....
I love your trucks bro. I just got the brand new Black 379 with a sleeper...whoah!!! ha ha...I also got the "extreme" black with the humongous drop visor and tag axle. I contacted the seller and he said he would put a sleeper bunk on it and pulled the third off axle off for me. He did a bunch of custom stuff to the truck I guess. I also got a 1/84 model and it came in the mail broken... The seller told me to just keep it and repair it if I could and he refunded my money. Right now I'm building the Revell 359 with the teeth in the grill. It sets up extremely high! I've already got the square bumper that I found from a seller on eBay for 1/25 scale .... I guess I got my work cut out me for me for a little while.
I just built a cabover but it's a Revell, plastic. I admire your chrome doorhandles/latches in particular. You do careful and colorful work.
Your model trucks are awesome and that my favorite peterbilt 379 trucks to
good looking fleet like the video
Like the cabover
Loved the black peterbilt
I have built 3 of these. Lot of work paint alone was 2 weeks.
did anyone else see the stacks on the cab over try to blow off at 2:50? lol
they were just on there loosely-mocked up for the video. Good job there eagle eye.
Wow cool
Great job Sir.wish l could have got a better look at the headache racks you have.
hey thanks bud! No I do not live on a farm, I did as a kid, but not any more.
The cabover is a Peterbilt 352
Again great trucks where did you get that first blue and black Pete??
nice:)
3:13 Perfect Model
any idea on how to bend the pipe for the stacks where they curve under the cab?
Where did you get the sleeper guard at 3:47??
Would you sell the black 379x
Perhaps, which one(s) are you interested in?
I have a video that talks about my Freightliner cabover which is Optimus Prime, I'll be making some new videos with the other trucks
I know thismay be a silly question, but where did you find the aftermarket stacks, visors, bumpers, etc? Did you make them?
Hello, did you custom make the 48" sleeper or is it available somewhere.
Where can you get the jada 379 trucks I've been looking and can't find
man if i caught somone filming these trucks and talking to themselves it would be weird ass fuck..
Where do u buy them
Are they for sale
my bad...
Slam them!!!! Mine are as low as JDT and Rollin Transport trucks if not lower. They would look so much better if they were lowered ... (IMHO).... great job
+Tommy Sargeant lol, thanks for the compliment, but real trucks don't drag on the gound ;)
JRtransport379 No, they don't... we just drop the air bags when we park them or at the shows.
I like mine to ride as low as possible down the freeway, but my dad on the other hand thinks I have disgraced my Peterbilt. I understand both schools of thought. Ive been driving Pete's for over 40 years. I loved them back then and I love them now (the classics 389. 379, 389) ... I dont like the curb-sniffers at all. It has to have an extended hood and be "old-school" but as the years have gone on, I have grown to love the "Rat Rodded" look on not only Muscle Cars; but also the bigrigs. Your models are beautiful. I'm only shooting out my preference. I run into a lot of guys that compliment my rig.. and then there's a "But"... why is it so low? So, is it still a classic? I think so, but some guys don't. It's good that we have differing tastes. You have Rollin Transport trucks that eveyone in the RR world seems to want to emulate, and then you have Phil with his Stainless Steel chrome Petes. I dont like them being chromed instead of painted, but then some guys love em. I cant even imagine them with direct sunlight hitting them and then hitting you directly in the eye. I think they should be relegated to "show truck only" status... mine is a "working class" truck, but it rides very very low. Probably too low judging from how many bumpers I go through each year.
lol, I know, I'm just messin'
JRtransport379
That cab over is bad A nice
truck stops and ebay
Your cabover is a 352 not 362 ...
