    This is what I love about loggers, a normal person would say you can't get logs that long down that road and a logger says wanna bet. Awesome video.

    Learned first hand when I was just a teenager working in the woods for Johnson Bros. in Concrete Wa. in the very early sixties. On one trip out we broke a pole that was around a hundred thirty feet. I could hear my boss praying and cussing at the same time and when it broke he hollered thats a five hundred dollar mistake that your gonna pay part of. There was no way that tree was going to make it but we tried. If we had bucked off about ten feet then we would of had something but the boss said no. I was almost happy when it broke but life goes on

    *WOW!* I didn't know they even cut and processed logs that long! They must be worth a freaking Fortune to justify the hauling expense! I've got a million and one questions, how do they steer the back end? What do they use them for? Yada yada yada

    It was probably built by V. Van Dyke trucking out of Seattle. I use to drive for them and they build own steer cars.

      Nick LaBrie I drive for them too. Super fun as far as trucking goes. There’s nothing like looking in the mirror at 130’ of pre stressed concrete beam cruising down the road.

    Man and I used to think 75ft poles were a hand full. But I was hauling mine on a 40ft trailer. Took out a few Stop signs on those left hand turns. Would love to see more of this for sure.

      I thought so at first but the Boeing dollies have doors for the cab. This one looks like a rougher build. Looks like its more stout though.

    This is insane...I play this game called Snowrunner and you can do some light logging but nothing like this...how the hell does the trailer follow the road so well being so far behind the truck, does it have a separate like hydraulic steering you can control or something?

      They are giant power poles used across the USA. The PNW is the only place you can get poles that big.

    Those logs probably wont go to a mill, they will go to a differnt yard where they will be cut into logs buy a grader and be sold for veneer at a much higher dollar.

      No, these logs are for giant power poles. They will be shipped to the Puget Sound where they will be treated and then shipped all over the country for power poles

    The guy in that dolly thing has a lot of balls, very little visability, though you dont gotta worry about tailgaters because they seen that part in final destination. And you could take up both lanes if someone is being a dink behind you

    Wait, the logs are the connection to the rear cart? Also, the big city near me has been building a team system for the last few years, i see the 100 foot concrete sections going down the highway. How do i get the job of being the driver of the cart?
