I saw you remove the air intake to get to it. But then a close up of the actual removal. All I know now is it's somewhere on the right toward the back. Did you use any extentions or just the rachet?
You DON'T have to take ANYTHING apart. Use a 12 point 7/8"(23mm) socket on a 12" extension. Carefully fish it in from the wheel well cover area, and it will line up perfectly. 1/2-1 turn after attaching your socket wrench, and it's out. The whole process took me less than 10 minutes.
@@festus105 i ended up just taking the air con unit out. Getting the bolts lined up and not cross threaded when putting it back in was the only difficult part .
I recently did a tune-up on my own. Boy that took me all day. My spark plug socket's rubber insert kept coming out of the socket. Losing the grip of the spark plugs. Used super glue to make the rubber part stay
When you started the vehicle after the repair I heard an air sound coming from the engine which sounds like a vacuum leak. Is that normal for these Ford 3.0 V6 engines? Mine does the same thing. I ran my smoke tester through it for an hour and could not find a vacuum leak.
Thanks for the comment, Just remember it is possible that different manufactures might have different PCV Valve designs, also if the PCV Valve is brittle the size will change
If we can find a 2009 ford escape 2.5 liter engine, with the possibility of needing a PCV Valve replacement, then maybe we would make a video, but there is no guarantee
We did stop recording and did not get the removal on Video. The video was more to show, that you can get to the PCV Valve. We provided no socket size because we can't be sure that every PCV Valve manufacture will be the same. But, if you use a socket make sure it's a shallow one and have patience

The engines with plastic intake manifold tend to be noisier due to the amplified resonance of the moving air being drawn by the motor

The emission control Valve vacuum tube is routed from the PCV Valve to the Upper Intake Plenum

You can try to use, a long needle nose pliers and just make sure you get all the pieces out

Why did you edit it being removed @3:21? Is that a 15/16 socket? Will a 23 or 24 MM socket work?
