HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL OF YOU, Mark, THE Eddie, ZZ Mark, and the rest of the crew!!!! May your holiday be full of thankfulness and joy!!!! 🦃🦃🦃🦃🥧🥧🥧🥧👍❤️📹😃
Almost have to run Carbide sawbits with no debarker I’m a big believer in that I run steel on the edger and carbide on the headsaw Nice red oak today Mr. Mark
That is some well defined grain!! We have about 3 acres of oak and cherry I would love to cut into lumber, my wife wants to make flooring from the oak I am not sure how well that would work since we have a combination of burr oak and pin oak. The cherry is smaller in diameter and some are hollow in the middle, one actually was blown over about 10 years ago and just missed the house by about 4 inches.😱😱 I did get quite a bit of cherry to use in the smoker😄😄. Some of the oaks are very straight and have a diameter of at least 30 to 40 inches, the branches are the size of most trees in the area. One that we had removed yielded three 10' logs for lumber, had one cut into quarter sawn and the other into 1.5 to 2" boards the third was just 1", more waste than I was wanting with the quarter sawn log, but it's not like we paid for the logs to begin with....so not a big deal.
A mix of annual and perennial rye is best for construction areas. You can add a little fescue or blue,, But the rye sprouts late in the fall, sprouts early in the spring, will hold the soil faster than anything else. If things stay mild, you may have a little green haze by the end of December
Must have been a pretty warm day there, you could see the fan blowing Eddie's whiskers pretty good in the beginning of the video. Another fine job guys, thanks for taking us along.
Hi Mark. I completely understand holiday preparations. Great looking scarlet oak lumber. You don't see square shaped trees too often. I know. The South Asian countries have square shaped trees often. I watch thier sawmills. Say Hi to Ed & ZZ. Have a good Sunday the 24th. 🥰🙂😉👍❤️💜🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🌫🌬🌌
That’s a quietest saw I’ve ever heard. I did not invest in carbide, but I run steel stand all bits in a 56 inch saw but I’m thinking I might someday invest in the carbide bits.
Been a regular subscriber for years. Worried when I didn't see the Friday Eve video. Glad you are back! Have a question. What happened to the kiln project? I probably missed the episode where you explained it all. Love the stop signs!!! Bless you and have a great holiday. ✝️
Oh yes you can tell the blade or sharp it sounds fantastic. that is also a beautiful looking log I guess it’s all right to call a large beautiful. God bless✌️🇨🇦. It looks like your bucket had a bladder full.
great looking grain pattern. I'd love to have some of the outer lumber. I like watching a journyman machine operator. He/she can make them do everything but dance. as far as firewood goes there is an old saying... it heats you up three times, once when you cut it , once when you split it and once when you burn it. viewed in San Diego.
Seven o’clock in the morning just having breakfast nice oak boards coming off the mill , called out this morning to a puncher he had no spare wheel luckily my spare wheel on the pick up fit , you know what they call a friend in need a pain in the rear end anyway you guys have a nice day
You honing and fixing to be off for a while. No wonder you were grinning. Happy Weekend and Blessings, Yall! We got flurries the other day and you're doing a fine job grubbing.
88K subs - you're getting there. I subbed Shannon after you introduced us at the Bunyan show. Sammy and Carl are just sitting around. Put them to work cleaning. Give Carl something to complain about lol. Bill
Happy Thanksgiving to all you guys and maybe you could take a break over the holidays spend it with your family they're more important than the viewers and I'm sure all your viewers would understand family first
@charlesangell_bulmtl Local sports caster was interviewing basketball player on 11/pm news one night. He says Charles what are to keys to your success. He didn't know ambidextrous and instead said amphibious...
Yeah those square bottom logs like that are extremely rare indeed butt they do exist as you pointed out yet so many people still today had not ever knew they existed butt they do
I know you know what you're doing but will you need an exhaust fan for the bus motor I think a lot of heat will build up in it unless you leave the roof off but then you have more noise
Yeah, as well their fresh set of teeth seem to be slinging more debris up rather than down, appears they need a little professional help. Personally I'd try a magnetic base dial indicator on the carriage checking for blade alignment & run-out. There are videos of truing blades, another art requiring patience & acquired finesse.
Good to see ZZ working in his area of expertise, with that idiot-stick shovel. Where is uncle Edmund? We haven't seen him yet? You're digging around everywhere, you might find Jimmy Hoffa instead.
Beautiful log. Loves me some Red Oak!
thanks Jim , this was a nice log for sure.
We have so much to be thankful for in this Country
Delicious snack video, thanks guys. Wishing you and your team a great week. Peace
thank you , Happy Thanksgiving!

@ we have some sassafras’s and white and Cherry birch to saw I think you might call it bing Cherry tho
Nice oak .
you should get a old stainless steel washer drum from a commercial unit for your burn barrel . they work great and last forever .

I could tell right away the difference of fresh sharpened bits. The sound of each cut is smooth and consistent. Keep up the good work.
Another great video guys!

thanks Steven.

Better late than never to say Boom!

These oak logs have made some nice lumber. I know you’ve probably explained this before but what is FAS?
FAS is the highest grade "first and seconds"
What happened to your nice smokeless burner, great videos. Tony
😀
thanks John.
I know you know what you're doing but will you need an exhaust fan for the bus motor I think a lot of heat will build up in it unless you leave the roof off but then you have more noise

That saw cuts is smooth going in, and then puts a bunch of blade marks on the way back?!?
