hi friends!! I took a small break to spend time with family in my last days at home before moving back to oxford, but so happy to be back. hope you guys had an amazing start to the new year! in this vlog, I spend a week studying and doing a bunch of reading in preparation for the start of term. I also visited my high school to get my diploma and officially graduate high school 3 years late lol. and lastly, I spent some time reflecting on my time growing up in new york city which was very bittersweet.

I’m studying politics at the University of Oxford for my junior year and will return to Cornell University for my senior year.

As someone from an immigrant family, i really felt the part regarding travelling for 1-2 hours and the feelings of being overwhelmed from time to time. Really glad that im not the only one and such a great video:)
I’m sorry you feel overwhelmed sometimes but remember that we all feel that way regardless of if we come from an immigrant family or not
I don’t understand how being from an immigrant family has anything to do with how it feels to travel?
@@KtT-sn8cy @ellie87825 The commenter did not say that this is an experience exclusive to immigrant families, just that they also share a similar experience possibly due to living in a neighborhood where a lot of immigrant families settle that is often further away from the city center. Further, if it happens that you are not from an immigrant family yourself, maybe try to have some perspective in what you may not understand in nuance even if it immediately seems like an odd comment to you, and that the desire to point it out may show a lack of understanding.
@@thegothlibrarian Your comment doesn’t really make much points, if you live in the same location for a long time travelling will feel pretty crazy whether you come from an immigrant family or not. Sometimes it is the opposite, like having perspective of people who have lived in the country for many many generations, what it feels like to move away from that and the attachment from your only true home, perhaps you also lack perspective it doesn’t just go one direction

There's something very therapeutic about watching your videos, idk if it's the way you film your vlogs, just watching you go through life, the sort of vibe of it all or just your personality, probably all of them together, I was really glad when I saw you had uploaded a new video. Glad you were able to spend some time with your family and took a break from vlogging, must have been fun to go back to your old stomping grounds and see how some things have changed while others remain the same, looking forward to your return to Oxford.

It's so exciting to open up for new environments, full of new perspectives. I'll always cherish the memories that I made in my previous school.
