Love the color and your review. I had been looking for the 18b mini square caviar dark beige then I started to appreciate lambkin. I got it in mini square and then medium in lamb. After having them, I decided to keep the medium and let go of the mini square. The leather in medium made in France is s super supple and delicious and the structure is solid. The mini square made in Italy is nice too but I can tell the leather is more smooth and less supple than the medium. Also I noticed frayed stiches even though it's new. Structure seems to be good, but when I touch the sides, the curved base seems to have insert in it unlike the natural curve of pure leather of my other mini square from 2019. Congrats!

Only time will tell but so far, I’d say the older lambskin is softer (they’re ALL soft but in comparison)... but that could be because the older ones have aged and softened further. 😉
If you could have one mini would you choose rectangular or square ? I love the rectangular for crossbody but I do find it is a little long on the shoulder. However, I do have medium classic flap that is better for that. I was planning to wear it crossbody but it would be great to wear it both ways. I am 5’5 and and wear a dress size 6. Oh gosh that’s a hard one. I love the shape of the square mini - it’s so cute and compact. Plus, as you said, the chain strap is a bit shorter which I like. But the rectangular mini fits a tad bit more inside so it really depends on your preference. Go for the look you love more!
I’m considering this color in lambskin in the medium double flap. I’m planning on using it as an everyday bag and am afraid of staining or the leather being too delicate. I’ve seen this color in the caviar leather but that looks very orange compared to the lambskin. Also, I’m thinking the lambskin is lighter weight than caviar leather. Please help. The medium is so pricey and I don’t want to make a huge mistake. TIA.
I love the way the Lambskin takes on this color (vs the caviar). However I don’t know if I’d consider any Lambskin bag an “everyday bag” given that it won’t do well with bad weather or scratches and such. The Lambskin will definitely be a bit lighter than caviar so you’re right about that. As for staining, this caramel color can pick up color transfer from darker colors if you’re not careful so that would be something to consider as well. Hope this helps!

My mom immigrated to the US in her 20s and brought very little with her. I wish she had some nostalgic pieces to hand down to me. I would’ve loved it. I think this is what comes to mind when I save items for my own daughter. 😊
