I have never seen such beautiful Mausoleums ,or cripts ,or art work ever ,in a cemetery, did not even know cemeterys like this existed,Im blown away !!! I could spend days and days walking around taking it all in !! This is amazing history I wish it was all being preserved better ,its a national treasure to the area I woukd think ? I don’t know why, but this cemetery reminds me of some in New Orleans (or as some of us Yanks pronounce it, “Nawlynns.” And I don’t think any of us would ever laugh at your pronunciation, certainly not I. After watching this series I have the opinion that this cemetery started out very grand and well maintained but then greed took over. The way some are just shoved anywhere, like under a staircase, and built cheaply is so no wonder it's in such a mess.

I don't think the Egyptian mausoleum missed any of the important images of the ancients. One thing that I noticed compared to other locations you have filmed is how few of these mausoleums have been vandalized. Amazing!

I always tell my family members that when I die I want an ancient Egyptian revival burial. I want to be buried in a crypt that looks exactly like that.

Dude, you get into one of the crypts. You hear someone coming you pull a rosary out of your pocket and stand by one of the crypts like you are saying the rosary. They aren't going to bother you.
From the dates I see on some of these crypts, the last burials were not so long ago for the mausoleums to be in such poor condition. Do the families not maintain them? odd.

The " dapper chap" at 3:49 has a unique grouping of plants in his tomb stone. It looks like maybe some sort of evergreen branch.
