@@graham1281 OMG 😧 She’s been through the wars. Nice and easy for a while. You’ll be worn out looking after Kay, so both of you take care and take advantage of all offers of help.
This is lovely Graham, and a new slant on this iconic tune. Nice chords. I,m Welshman, started playing aged 12 in 1963. Played several of the good boxes - last one was a 5 row Morino, but now play a chromatic Roland as it,s much lighter. Not the same though! Love your sound. Frank in Bristol.
Hi Frank, thanks for the lovely comment. I too have owned a morino IVVN Musette. Sweetest sounding box ever ! Still have my Excelsior Multi Musette. ( way too heavy for me now though. ) My favourite box is my Scandalli Super V1. I DO love my roland FR4-X. As you say, it's light, no cables required and you can get some marvellous tones.
Hi Graham- you,re a lucky man to own such instruments, and you,re a good player. I played an IVN for over 30 yrs with local bands. It was the basic musette/tremolo version, but the original Hohner catalogue for the Artiste model was at least a dozen permutations. I never understood why the 3-reed coupler was described as "Violin"! Strange. Now I play the older Roland FR3 SB. Yes, it,s versatile, but if you connect all the stereo and midi cables, you could end up like Captain Ahab - tangled on the back of Moby Dick! Thanks you for the music, and guid luck go wi' ye. Frank.
Beautiful tune...beautifully played. Bravo!
