Leading on Global Sustainability: The Basque Country Inspiring Presidency at Regions4

Video on the balance of the Basque Government's presidency of the international network Regions4 between 2019-2024. The Basque Country represented Regions4, leading the voice of sub-national governments at a COP where they will take part in the official programme for the first time.
Regions4 has managed to bring together a community of nearly 200 regional governments to work jointly and has taken their voice to major global forums. We have achieved international recognition of the role of our level of government in implementing innovative policies and solutions for the resilience of the planet. We are leading the climate change adaptation agenda, helping to shape the new global biodiversity framework, and we are a benchmark in localising the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
Connected regions, working together on joint solutions to common problems. Key role in global sustainable development goals. Willingness, commitment and capacity to work supportively and fairly, leaving no one behind.
