These Dutton/Yellowstone shows are all absolutely outstanding. They're a modern classic. Major props to *Taylor Sheridan!* He's one of America's top tier TV/film writers.
The Yellowstone series is excellent! Love all of them, superb acting & cast selection. The Cinematography is studding, costumes are wonderful, can’t say enough about the excellence of all the series. It has all captured my heart, my mind, my thrust for more. Can’t wait for the season to resume!
Loved 1923, better than 1883 and even much of Yellowstone. Pretty sure the fact that Alex is royalty, The Countess of Sussex since her brother died, and has lots of money will come in to play to save the ranch. I believe her and Spencer are the line that led to John (Costner), the reason is I am pretty sure John told Tate during one of their conversations that his grandfather fought in WW1, Spencer did but his older brother did not nor did Jack, so that would make Spencer his grandfather. Spencer certainly reminds me of Cayce and Alex of Beth if Beth was not bitter and traumatized.
“Violence has always haunted this family, and followed us from the Scottish Highlands to the slums of Dublin - it followed us here. Where it doesn’t follow - we hunt it down - we seek it.” Elsa Dutton.
What a prestigious cast: all these cameos! 😲 NB: [Watching Jacob Dutton rant about other men's greed destroying, what other men built is a bit dystopian, as we are all aware, his family's greed is the reason, Indigenous Americans lost all, that they built and are now forced to live in reservations.]
I recently began watching Yellowstone and enjoy these quick (catch up) series of history from the previous 2 shows therefore I don't see any problem of killing off John Dutton and the Yellowstone series continuing it's LEGACY in 2023. Thank you for a very entertaining western In a NOW-DAY TIME.
I love the prequels to Yellowstone. And I love Mattew Mogonahey........but why can't they keep Skeliner as Spencer? They could use makeup to portray him older.
What?? They're replacing Brandon with Matthew??? Love Matthew, please don't replace Brandon with anybody!! They can easily age him with makeup. He makes the whole show!!!
Spencer dies form tuberculosis you hear elsa say only one of her brothers lives to see there children reach adulthood and john already did that he's son Jack
Did I miss where it was said/ shown (not the flashback,?) That James died 10 years after settling? Then Margaret a year later (11years). Wouldn't that put the boys as teenagers. That was said was starving.after 11 years, on the future ranch, seems the boys could survive. I'm sure James taught them well.not to mention, when (john or Spencer)came to the door, in said flashback,.. didn't look like teenager (s).so wondering about the timeline, you started this vid., with.
I don’t think they had Spencer until like 1888. That would put him at 30 during World War I and about 35 during 1923. I think there is a 10 year difference between John and Spencer.
Here is what that's based on: In the livestock association meeting in episode one (the one behind closed doors, not the one with Banner), Jacob says "I've been here since 1894, Clive." Combine that with this bit from Elsa's monologue at the start of the episode: "Upon my father's death, my mother wrote to his brother begging that he bring his family to this wild land and save hers. A year later he arrived to find my mother frozen in a snow drift, her two boys half starved and barely able to speak. He raised them as his own, then took my father's dream and made it into an empire. Then the empire crumbled." If Jacob has been in Montana since 1894, James must have died in 1893, since, according to Elsa, Jacob arrives a year after James' death. And because James got there in 1883, he died ten years after settling.
@@BenjaTV seems like you got the timeline figured. just seems that the boys was not little at that point.and Margaret was left in a snow bank.seems after 10 yrs., they would have, had folks somewhat, near by (to help). leaves a lot of imagination for us,don't it ?
Let me explain 1923 to you. Old guy gets cattle jacked. Old guy gets shot. Old lady sends letter to nephew in Africa . Nephew in Africa doesn’t make it in the first season. Now we have season 2. Yellowstone was great. 1923 and 1883 are lacking
I think the opposite, I haven’t seen 1883, but 1923 was really cool. Yellowstone is severely overrated. It’s just a soap opera with modern cowboys, and occasionally a good storyline. Season 2 was pretty good. But that’s about it.
This has absolutely no sense of connective tissue with the other two. The story surrounding the Native American could have (and should have) a whole series itself. This was just dull and hard to follow.

This sequel is the best yet . I'm so afraid I'm going to miss it. I hope the newest version starts up soon.
1923 to me is better than Yellowstone & 1883. I can’t wait til Spencer gets there!!
I will have to hold on to this video until the show comes back!! Awesome recap, as always. ❤

Mc Conaughey
I think Matthew portrays the young John Dutton (Kevin Costner).
Excellent. Thank you
Glad you enjoyed it!
Tiana can't catch a break!
I had to ffwd through some of her scenes. The violence was too brutal. I don't doubt the realism and the actress is amazing, but it was just too much.
Excelente série sou do Brasil!!!!
1923 Season 2 is filming now. Probably be out this fall. According to IMDBpro
Downton Abbey meets Yellowstone, sign me up!
🍿
Edit: the actresses, that play Elisabeth and Alexandra look so similar, I cant tell them apart!
2023 is the best for me
very good review
of a BAD Season 1
The actress is stunningly beautiful without make up. Can't say that about too many actresses.
Which actress? The two young blondes are interchangeable to me looks-wise.
There is supposed to be like a 1940 and 1950 on the way , what a great story.
This one is better than Yellowstone actually .
I fast forward past the uncomfortable sex abuse prostitute scenes which are unnecessary. OK. I get it. He’s a bad guy. Skip the misogyny.
Very unnecessary there is enough cruelty I thought Too much really
Axe is back in Season 7
Same here
Spencer dies form tuberculosis you hear elsa say only one of her brothers lives to see there children reach adulthood and john already did that he's son Jack
Spencer get tuberculosis from the captain that died on the tug boat

James Dutton (first one from 1883), is shown to die in a flashback during the yellowstone show, I can't remember which season though.
Doesn't make sense that Jacob is older that James when Jake stated he's 78 to the banker in s1e8 ?

But…it’s beautifully designed

Who is the actor that plays Spencer think he might be the one that Miley Cyrus was married to does anybody know?
Irish 🇨🇮🇨🇮🇨🇮

Your analysis is outstanding; thank you. Quite a bit of stilted, moronic dialogue, however (which of course has nothing to do with you!).
