    Dr. Osama you are seriously incredible !! you can even make people get interest in pediatrics with your easy method of differentiating things and giving concise information. I am listening to all of you lectures and Im able to understand and remember everything without any difficulty. I wish I found these lectures way before.Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge with these wonderful lectures.

    Hands-down the most concise and inform piece of information I have ever seen on RUclips. Considering I have seen people screw up instructions for screwing in a lightbulb, and waste my time; this summary, just before I take my boards, is profoundly excellent. Thank you

    INCREDIBLE! A large part of learning is not just memorizing facts and associations, but organization of the information in a way that the brain can digest it and recall it! Thank you so much for taking time to make these videos. This is literally the INTEGRATION that I was looking for! Also your metabolism lecture was amazing as well! I"m so glad I found you.

    So what is the age cut-off to when you can or cannot give ceftriaxone to newborn?

    • @pediatricboardalastminuter1892
      @pediatricboardalastminuter1892  6 лет назад +2

      There is no cut off, it has to be given when is needed. E.g. if you have a newborn presenting with gonococcal ophthalmia, a dose of IM or IV ceftriaxone must be given immediately. Also you can use for neonatal sepsis if cefotaxime is not available or if the neonate can not tolerate gentamicin (renal impairment), and other indications, just monitor for jaundice in neonates and other side effects as any other antibiotics.
