I bought 12 aircraft models of different scales from DB Jets. He is a great person to deal with. Never had any issues with the models he sent me. Shipped on time, bomb proof packaging and great prices. Keep up the good work DB Jets.
First of this kind of video where you can get information about where to buy Diecast Airplane models. Will be very useful to new collectors. Thanks for the information
DBJets is the go to store for aircraft scale models in India. The variety and scales they have on offer is unmatchable, no one else even comes close. Most of the models that I wanted and pre-ordered through him were delivered to me by them. Best of all, prices are reasonable/on par if imported directly. In a couple of cases they were marginally expensive, but that is understandable. They are quick to respond to any queries and their packing is such that the model reaches you safely. Thanks DBJets, you truly are the best!!!
I have placed a pre order with Akrish hobby store for the 3rd time . i have always had a great experience . Paying upfront for the aircraft models is a standard industry practice .
Amazing video as always Saif! Will be really helpful for new collectors as it can be difficult to find good retailers, especially in India. Akrish is the best place to get your models from in India! ♥️
I recommend Aviation Megastore in Netherlands and Dai Kong Trading in Malaysia as these two are great source for model planes which are rarely sold such as Lupa, PPC models, and Hogan Wings with Dai Kong being the expert of Hogan. I've bought dozens of Hogan planes from Dai Kong which I have hard time to find in HK stores. It also sell stands and parts for Hogan models such as wheels which is a really good catch for me
Great piece of info for collectors..👍 I will definitely check out the airplane model store during my trip to Singapore in August. There are quite a few models on my bucket list. 😊
While I have not dealt with Akrish or Dan , I have dealt with DBJets for my aircraft scale model needs. Thanks to his guidance and brilliant model sourcing abilities, I have been able to build a decent sized aircraft scale model collection. He has always been friendly & polite and I did not have any problems with the models he sourced for me. He got all my models for me without any kind of advance payment - such us the trust he has on me and I have on him. A very trustworthy dealer and a friend, he is a wonderful guy to deal with. Hence I do not agree with your assessment that dbjets has poor customer service or his models are overpriced. I know of many other Indian collectors who share the same opinion about dbjets.
Thankyou Saif. I've saved these contacts for future. The product range is exciting though it has been a lifelong dream to purchase a larger model with a side cutaway that displays detailed interiors and lighting. I wonder if such models are sold as displayed in the air india head quarters. Thanks a ton for the information. 🎉

Bro what about those models which i used to get in planes for just 1200-1500-2000rs around in India in some flights, but now they have stopped selling them, where to get these cheap ones, the one you mentioned are way too costly 😅
Nice video but I do not agree with you that DBJets has bad customer service. Having spoken to him and bought models from him, he is a pleasure to interact with. He has great variety of models that suits the needs of different collectors. I dare say he is India's best known retailer with a great reputation and service to boot. Never had any problems with the models I bought from DBJets. Pricing is on par of you consider the duty and shipping charges one has to pay from international websites. Plus there is always a risk of the model getting lost in transit or stolen when bought from abroad directly, which means all your money is lost.

Wow!!! Great review. Love the way you tried to thrash dbjets's reputation so subtly while blowing a trumpet about your "favourite", completely hiding the fact in the process that your 'favorite' charges 100% advance payment as "booking" amount for models which he does not even have in his hands!!! The other two probably do not engage is such theatrics. Go ahead, have the honesty to reveal that too to your in your video too. Anyone can see through the bias you have towards your favourite and your 'neutrality' in this video is worth a hat tip!! The real intent of making this video in very obvious, Tinwala. Always remember - the world is round. The good (and the bad) that you do will eventually come back to you.
This video is solely my opinion and experience. I’m glad you have had a great experience with DBJets. Like I said, I have no personal vendetta against him, and that I have bought several models from him. If I had a problem with him, I wouldn’t be mentioning his website details on my video. Sharing my experience in no way is ‘thrashing’ someone’s reputation. As for preorder, it is an industry standard and is completely optional. No one is forcing you to make the entire payment upfront. You can buy when the said model is in stock.
@@SaifTinwala Industry standard??? Who set those standards? Your 'favorite' did? I know no other retailer in India does that "full payment in advance" for preorders thing!!!! Whom are you trying to fool?
Broaden your horizon beyond Indian retailers. All retailers across the world take pre-orders with full payments, including the largest and most successful ones, like MyHobbyHouse, Waffle Collectibles, ARD, the list goes on and on. Check out their websites and you will know.
What I fail to understand is if it is practiced all across the globe, what is wrong with having the same practice in India. New things are continually introduced. Why are you so closed off to new concepts and stuck on to comparing everything to two Indian retailers? Have a wider perspective. Moreover if you don’t wish to pay full in preorder, no one is forcing you to, you are more than welcome to wait till the shipment arrives. Why so much hate?
@@SaifTinwala I hope you are aware that there are other quite a few good Indian retailers than the one you are referring to in your video. None of them do it, because they import models at their own RISK, with their own money and deserve much more respect for that. They do not "play" around with a customers money and make them wait endlessly - which is unethical. Anyway, The point I made is while you have bashed one for poor service and inflated prices, You have failed to inform your viewers that your favorite wants full payment in advance - which I am sure will be discouraging factor for many who are unaware how it works. Who is going to run around after him for getting the money back in case he fails to deliver? You?
I have had a completely opposite experience with DBJets and hold them in high regard as one of India's most honest and pioneering aircraft model dealer. I have been buying exclusively from DBJets all these years and have built up a collection of 300+ aircraft models, most of which are 1:72 military models, majority bought mostly from DBJets. A few of them I had imported directly or through relatives who came from abroad, a few were bought from another Indian dealer who were old timers in this business. As you would know, most of these 1:72 models are far more expensive and far more fragile than the civilian airliner models. In all those dealings, I found DBJets to be honest and straightforward. Pre-covid, Shipping too was always the on next day of the payment. As for the so called high costs that you accuse DBJets of charging, people often forget customs duty+int'l freight costs+GST get added too which gets added to the final selling cost in INR. I found the final cost of a model works out to be nearly the same if imported directly(+customs duty) and in some cases cheaper through DBJets. DBJets is a clean dealer and the owner is a good man, who is not afraid to give a GST bill. I would rather deal with such honest tax and duty paying dealer than someone who cheats the country by using unfair import methods or other corrupt practices!!! I live in a different city and DBJets ships out models to me using a reputed courier. In all these years, I can only recall a couple of incidents that happened where the model got slightly damaged because of courier co's mishandling. DBJets was quick to sort out the issue, took corrective steps to not ensure that it did not repeat and it's been smooth sailing ever since. I would not have stuck to him if he didn't have great customer service, would I? It is great to praise the dealers where you buy models from. But spoiling someone's name in any business is very easy but to gain a name takes lot of time, which DBJets has worked hard for. Please don't spill dirty water over someone's hard work. Everybody does hard work to get where they are. I have known DBjets from years now. They are genuine, ethical & honest in their business practices and won't misguide anyone as a customer. Engaging in falsely maligning someone else is simply not done, Mr Tinwala...doesn't suit your stature as an aviation enthusiast and a collector of repute.
Thank you for taking the time out to comment. It’s great to hear that you have such good things to say about DBJets. Firstly, as mentioned in the video caption, my views are personal and not with the intent to ‘malign’ anyone. As a collector, I am simply sharing my experience to other fellow collectors. Secondly, having met Darshan personally, I have no ill feelings towards him, I am merely sharing my experiences with the rest of the world without a bias. None of it is made up, and if you don’t agree with me, there are plenty other comments to corroborate my views on his prices and customer service. Lastly, sharing a honest feedback isn’t ‘spilling dirty water’. That’s a very closed off approach. If someone works in the goods & service sector, they should be open to constructive criticism.
Mr Tinwala, of course I dont agree with you and your unfair criticism of his prices and services. That is why I gave a logical explanation why his prices are higher than other sellers who I know engage in unfair and unethical trade practices. If you wish to ignore it, so be it. Most Indian buyers are unaware of the charges that an importer has to pay and unfairly end up comparing prices of international sites to indian sites. That's why people feel an indian site is expensive. Who is going to add duties+shipping+ local taxes? Dbjets also provides discounts on website. It cannot be compared to international websites as DBJets is an Indian company based in India. There are diff economic diff rules and regulations when you buy from abroad as compared to India. What you are doing in your video is not constructive criticism but are engaging in maliciously maligning DBJets despite knowing the customs duties, shipping and taxes involved in importing models in India.Have you for once mentioned that in your video? If you want to engage in constructive criticism, do it with him privately than washing dirty linen in public and spoiling his hard earned reputation. I can give you quite a few examples of fellow collectors who are happy with his services too. P.S. I know the owner too and have met personally him a few times.
