    Phillip, I can relate. 8 years ago I did the same thing. Sold my house, donated tons of stuff, gave things to my grown children and moved from the United States to Panama. I researched also for about 3 years and chose Panama for a number of reasons. It was a great experience. I then met a woman from Brazil who was visiting her sister who lived in Panama and we decided to get together and I moved to Brazil and have lived here for over 4 years. I also sold and gave away most of my stuff before leaving Panama. Both times I moved in 2 suitcases. Don't miss the US at all and am happier than ever in my new life.

    The room is messy for a reason. My flat is empty, boxes are everywhere, and my life is packed and ready to go. I will come home to visit those close to me, but there are no longer reasons for me to stay in the UK.

    Awesome.. you've made the right decision... the digital nomad lifestyle is dream for many people.. especially those looking to earn a living by working from home and online.. giving up on the 9 to 5 treadmill.. you have a business and a very successful one.. take that passion with you anywhere you want in this world.. there are no limits, really. You can wake up in Thailand in a day or two and still operate your online business.
    So travel the world to your hearts content.. see the sights and sample different nationalities and continue to enjoy building your business as you do it. It's a fantastic way to live your best life. Enjoy 😁

The world's way more than just the UK or even the most beautiful Vancouver, tho I still visit once in a while but only in the Summers as no way anyone should endure the miserable winter in London / Vancouver when u can hv the Caribbean where I am now, tho only for a few months as I've new venues in mind literary once every few months. That's also naother reason I am going. The NHS is not very effective and I want proper healthcare. Malaysia has incredible healthcare which I can pay for and get the treatments and tests I want, instead of being passed around red tape of the NHS.
      I have great health insurance with AMEX as well, so that will be fine. For anything else I am willing to pay for to be treated right away, instead of waiting.

    The system is so broken - and it's a no brainer for somebody who stays in the uk for a number of years. It quickly became increasingly stifling to the point that drives me away. Low income standard (seriously, what is considered as "high" pay here is the entry level pay for fresh graduates in north America and Asian countries I stayed), ridiculously high taxation and fines, fees in exchange for nothing in public sectors to even function properly. The agonizing realization after a few months living in the Uk: this system and general mentality here punish people who thrive for growth. At this point I don't see any returning point, and it is worsening.

    • @takingactiononline
      @takingactiononline  10 месяцев назад

      Thank you so much for your kind words and for sharing your situation with me. I'm glad you found the video informative!
      When it comes to making big life decisions like moving to a new country, there are indeed many factors to consider, especially when it involves the future and well-being of your family. While I shared my personal journey and reasons for leaving the UK, it's important to remember that everyone's circumstances are unique, and what was right for me may not be the best course of action for someone else.
      The UK offers many opportunities, especially in terms of education and healthcare. However, as you mentioned, the cost of living and the economic climate are challenging, and these are significant considerations.
      I'm not in a position to give specific advice, as I'm not familiar with your personal financial situation or your long-term goals. Also, tax laws and financial regulations vary greatly from country to country, and it's crucial to get professional advice tailored to your individual circumstances.
      What I can suggest is to research extensively and perhaps consult with a financial advisor or immigration specialist who understands both the context in Pakistan and the UK. They can provide you with detailed insights and help you weigh the pros and cons based on current economic conditions, potential opportunities, and your personal aspirations.
      Remember, every challenge also holds opportunities. Your decision should align with what you believe is best for your daughter's future and your family's well-being. I wish you all the best in making this important decision and hope that you find the path that leads to the best possible outcome for you and your daughter.

    There's nothing wrong with the UK weather. You just want to keep more of your money and you're willing to leave your country in order to do so. You'll be back as soon as you need the NHS. Meanwhile, enjoy your tax avoidance in Thailand [it's always Thailand].

    • @takingactiononline
      @takingactiononline  6 месяцев назад +1

      So many assumptions based on nothing more than your own insecurities and ignorance. 😂
      I do not need the NHS; many other countries have vastly superior health services to the UK with far shorter wait times. Why would I not want the best healthcare I can afford?
      Thailand to save tax? No, one simple Google search will tell you that. Perhaps check before you jump to conclusions and let your words influence how to perceive the world?
      Tax avoidance? Again, I can see you do not have a fundamental understanding of business accounting. Even though I left the UK 6 months ago, I will not fully exit the tax system for another 18 months as I still pay taxes. Moving out of a country and setting up a new company elsewhere is not tax avoidance; it's just leaving the country after paying up all the taxes I owe based on my profit.
      "Nothing wrong with the UK weather"... have you been to Scotland? haha! 😂😂 It's light and day compared to the balmy south. Where I grew up gets an average of 3.5 hours of sun per day. Less than 1 hour per day in December.
      I am going where I am treated best, opening up new business opportunities, meeting my students, learning new cultures, and developing my understanding of foreign business and tax laws.
      In doing so, I can be in countries that are more forward-thinking and newly developing. I can have an exciting time doing so and pay my fair share of taxes and fees and contribute to the local economies in the process.
      Any person who has worked hard enough and sacrificed everything in their life to have the opportunity to pay in excess of 60% tax will, by default, start prodding the door of new opportunities. By doing so, they very quickly realise there is a whole other world out there that most people never see or even bother exploring because it is outside their bubble and comfort zone.
      That is what I am doing. :-)

    • @kevinengland7444
      @kevinengland7444 6 месяцев назад

      On the one hand you say you're not avoiding tax and on the other you imply 60% tax is motivation to leave. You've not really thought this through have you? According to the OECD Britain's tax rates are middle-ranking. All of Western Europe has higher tax rates than the UK. I have read that the Dutch are the most heavily taxed in Europe. If you've fallen into the 60% tax trap pay more into your pension to avoid it. It is public knowledge that developing countries tax less for obvious reasons. You're going to a developing country for less tax and excusing it with ridiculous superficial nonsense about meeting students [you can do that anywhere] and learning about tax in foreign lands [how thrilling that must be]. The maximum tax rate in Thailand is 35%. The 'developing' world cannot possibly be more forward thinking than the West, not just in business terms but socially, politically, culturally and environmentally. Nowhere is. If they were so forward thinking they wouldn't still be developing! You can't afford to pay for healthcare wherever you are going...because you're leaving to save money not incur extra cost. You will be back when you need the NHS. I'm always suspicious of Western men that leave for Thailand and the 'developing' world. I suspect they are 'misfits'.@@takingactiononline

    • @takingactiononline
      @takingactiononline  6 месяцев назад

      Lol! I am not in Thailand. It seems you really want to go there.
      My travel is not superficial nonsense; I have travelled the world before to meet my students, which is well documented, and it's a very hard thing to do, but I do it to deliver epic value to my followers for free. But, if I am a nomad, it is far easier for obvious reasons.
      I am not going to live Europe either; I am travelling the world. Yes, the taxes are high in Thailand, too, so why would I go there to live? You say, "It's always Thailand"... lol! See your own contradiction when you enter keyboard warrior mode without thinking before spewing out vile comments? You're most likely confusing me with other nomads who make Thailand their base due to the lower cost of living who also choose to pay tax there, and that is great for them as it offers a much different lifestyle than back in the UK + amazing healthcare. Some have their companies in other countries and set themselves up as employees so they can live in Thailand (or any country) more cost effectively.... and so on...
      Shows how narrow-minded and jaded you are to think that a person must be a misfit if he seeks adventure and opportunity elsewhere. You suspect and assume way too much. Sorry to see you have such a toxic, jaded and horrible view of the world.
      Again, with the NHS. 🤦‍♂️😂 Here is an example: Both my eyes were severely infected last month, I had to see several doctors, and it was top-class and affordable. I was cured. No NHS was needed, nor did I need to wait for 6 weeks to get an appointment. haha! I was seen within 30 min of asking. A miracle that would never happen back home, at least not in my area.
      I am not leaving to save money. I am going where my money is better spent on investments, living life, exploring and going where I am treated best. It took a great deal of consideration, time, money and sacrifice to sell up and leave my life, family and friends in the UK. 3 years, in fact, of constant research and dedication to make the decision to leave.
      The side effect is that I become more tax-efficient and have freedom.
      I hope you one day leave the UK to see what an amazing world is out there. But if that is not for you, that is also fine. Stay in your comfort zone like most people do, that is great too. :-)
      Here, watch this; you may even open your eyes a little and see things from a less blinkered and jaded viewpoint and perhaps one day you'll be more accepting of others who do not follow your life plan.

      The British are the world's greatest travellers. In the UK even the lowly road sweeper holidays in far flung places. The British embrace the world. Something to be rightly proud of.The internet allows you to be a 'nomad'. The new and trendy way of living anywhere in the cheapest parts of the world whilst minimising your costs. Your choice, but here's another 'vile' comment, otherwise known as a different opinion, I dislike people that leave family, friends and everyone that has ever loved them just because they hate paying Council Tax and then disingenuously claim they've left because of the weather when the truth is they're just not successful here - economically, socially or romantically.@@takingactiononline

    • @takingactiononline
      @takingactiononline  6 месяцев назад

      You say I should be rightly proud of leaving the UK as its part of my heritage, then moan at me for leaving the UK.... make your mind up. 😂
      I have set up my company in Dubai, one of the most expensive places in the world, so again, you assume and make an ass of yourself.
      I succeeded very well at home before I left... otherwise I would not have the business foundation in place to leave in first place. 🤦‍♂️🥳
      Each nomad have their own goals. Some want to live cheaply and scrimpt and save, I go the middle ground by living within my means while heavily investing in myself, my business, my students and financial markets so I have control over my life.
      I certainly have so much to learn and develop but I am doing well...
      ...so, is there anything else you want to be completely misguided and wrong about my situation or shall we leave this here so you can spend you days trolling other videos based on nothing but your own insecurity, rage and dislike of people who taken a great leap of faith in their lives.
      I deal with different opinions all day long as a coach and course creator. Negative comments and different opinions is my bread and butter and I welcome it. It's how I improve myself.... you're comments are just ignorant and vile.
      You come on another persons video by choice and accuse them of tax avoidance and claim they aren't making money based on nothing just to spread your own self loating on to other people's days.
      Pure ignorance and arrogance.

    you get more dynamic traveling around and meeting a lot of people - and surely raise your horizon/personal growth/experiences, but dont overestimate the meetings/contacts to others regarding business. you can quickly run into a kind of at first exciting dynamics with the feeling of lot is going on while in reality not so much is going on and the more u are used to it the more you might fall back on to ourself (due to repetitive patterns and rather superficial meetings with strangers who also continue/fluctuate away). in the end its more about your own psyche. it is also WRONG to believe that you are more busy in warm/hot weather regions (quite the opposite is true, just learn about the productivity of people around the world). those are all still idealized/naive imaginations. apart from such aspects, I think its nevertheless a good thing to do just to get all kind of such and other (lot of positive/new) experiences.

    • @takingactiononline
      @takingactiononline  7 месяцев назад

      Absolutely, you bring up some key insights. While traveling as a digital nomad offers personal growth and new experiences, it's crucial to stay realistic about the business benefits of these encounters. It's about staying focused and disciplined while creating value and building relationships, not just chasing excitement.
