+UPDATE* I have spoken to 3DRap and the guy who I was speaking to regarding testing the pedals moved to another department so the email chain somehow got missed. 3DRap apologised and state that this is not how they usually do things. Seems to be a human error by a member of staff so I'd like to give them the benefit of the doubt. The lack of communication was my biggest gripe. Overall they are a great product 👍
Really nice honest overview Dave. Thank you. I think it's great that there are increasing alternatives. Hopefully more competition in the market will only drive up the quality from other manufacturers and other competitors (and maybe encourage those who's quality has dipped to up their game).
I use the 3dRap hand controls, and I like them. They're pretty well built, and their customer service is good. I'm glad I can do racing at a competitive speed with hand controls.
Thanks for the thoughts. I appreciate the simple review based on your criteria. I wouldn't be too concerned about the 3D printed parts but the lack of response is a bit more concerning. Thanks for the content.
Nice overview!! I'll be honest, I'd love for someone to do a shootout with some of these higher end pedals and the g29 pedal set with the mods. I did the mods on my G29 pedals, with the progressive springs, the spacers and the insert that 3dRap makes for the brake. They are great! I was very surprised at how good they felt. And since I can't really try the various other pedals, I'd love to hear someone else's experience. Excellent video, brother!
I had some beef in the past not directly with 3drap they where nice, but with one of the sellers they represented. I just asked for a receipt after I bought an expensive steering wheel. Apparently that was a weird request and the guy making these steering wheels literally gave me a big mouth. Got my money back luckily.
We are very sorry because our customer service, for a business choice, is always impeccable and follows the customer step by step, but in this way many will understand that we tend to abandon the customer after the purchase.
@@Hani_Santa the steering wheels are not our production. But they are made by SpeedMaxRacing, we only exhibit them, as our job is to produce some parts of them. The first 3DRap branded professional steering wheels will be released next autumn :)
I have 3D printed elastomere in my DC2 and they works absolutly amazing. I'm using them for a couple of weeks now and they are working as good as the day i put them in. I don't see any reason why they should not live as long as normal elastomere. To be honest, the normal elastomere showed wear in the first week even with the metal cap over them. The 3D printed SZ Elastomere are as the day i got them.
An eccentric lobe. Think of an egg with a pivot point in the fat end. As you rotate the egg on the pivot the narrow end swings upward and will push on whatever is next to it.
Pretty stupid to send you a review sample and then not respond to questions or send software. The cam idea seems quite good though especially for the clutch. It would be good if they offered a version with the pro cam clutch and spring accelerator. Considering the price shipped to me is 15% more than I paid for my Heusinkveld Sprints (even with 3DRap having way cheaper shipping) I couldn’t see myself going for these though.

In our opinion, uur 2-pedal pedal board is cheaper than your pedals, but offers much more as a product and brings innovations to the simracing industry in terms of filters and effects. The kinematic curves have been reproduced by acquiring data from real cars, in the various circuits here in Italy during the F3, F4, and GT championships in which we have participated as track engineers over the past years.

Love hearing your thoughts about sim gear, really like how your channel is evolving. Glad i picked invictas after seeing your video.
The NGASA Brake has a load cell with a resolution of 16 bits, and allows to apply a force up to 100kgf.

Not answering your email is a huge red flag. What if you needed parts or service?

Nice kitchen! When are we going to have a cooking racing snacks episode?
Holy sh*t that kitchen is clean.
I think they moved to Ikea.
All the mess is temporarily moved behind the camera 😁
Thanks for the video Dave I'm going to build you a house but the bathrooms are extra.🤑
I am confused by the term “cam”. What is a “cam”?
An eccentric lobe. Think of an egg with a pivot point in the fat end. As you rotate the egg on the pivot the narrow end swings upward and will push on whatever is next to it.
@@i2nupman Dave, an eccentric lobe, surely not!
It you look up “Cam” on Wikipedia there are some images that probably help explain it better than text alone can.
Those cams need to be hardened steel or your going to get wear. Its nice to see a new entry to the market though ... good "review" vid , thanks.
The rubbing parts have been stressed by our robot for thousands and thousands of cycles.

you know he keeps saying "I am not a product reviewer" in the last 3 or 4 product reviews.... I enjoy the uh.. not product reviews?
beep boop
3DRap stuff is always really shoddy, the finish one everything is bad
