Thank you soooo much for stopping by our deli and trying the pierogi and kiełbasa! Smacznego! 🤗
I’m not Polish, but grew up in a Polish community and Pierogis are one of the best foods on the planet!
Grew up having pierogies made by the ladies at church in the Pittsburgh area.
I'm half Polish also. My Dad had my sister and me making Pierogis at a young age. Love, love them. My Babcia made all kinds, the best! 🤗❤️
100% Polish. My dad made the best pierogies ever. Bought pierogies from S&D for Christmas. Yep, Pittsburgher here. Na Zdrowie!😊😊
Nice to see a chow time, they sounded good! Cheese and potato filling my fav 👍 take care
They were very good, but that kielbasa was even better. Gotta get that again.
My wife makes the best perogies on the planet. Come to Mi. Bring the fam. Love the show. Let's eat....lol
Nice video JP love the Chow Time with JP love the food review that was nice made me hungry though made me wish I could have some of those but thank you once again can't wait for the next video

It all looked so good. 😋😋😋 Enjoyed the Chow Time. Thanks, JP!
Thank you JP for another great video 🤗 I love pierogis🤗
Cant go wrong with pierogis
Hi, I watch your films with my son in Poland before going to sleep. You have a very relaxing voice. When I listen to you, I feel good and safe, perfect for sleep. Greetings from Poland ;)
Farmers cheese and potatoes my fav. Then drenched in butter and fried onions. Oh my.. time to make some I guess.
More butter the better
Hi Jay. Hope you are doing great. I enjoyed the video. Keep up the great work. The food looks great.
Doing fantastic. Hope you are as well 😊
I just love polish food! Looks so delicious! Great chow time JP!
I'm half Polish myself so this was right up my alley 👌😊
I LOVE this! I never met a pierogi I didn't like...even lekvar, sauerkraut and prune! Now I'm hungry! I have to settle for Mrs. T's where I live now....if I can find them.
I just ate supper and you’re making my mouth water!! What a great eating experience, thanks for the video
My mouth was watering ...I LOVE pierogies and kielbasa! That would have made the whole trip worth while for me LOL! Thank you for doing the research n' leg work to take us on this very special Pittsburgh Chow Time' vlog, it was awesome! 🍴
I gotta get them both again soon. Definitely hit the spot. 🤤
Everything looked so delish thanks for offering us some glad you enjoyed some of your heritage
You bet!
Thats sounds delicious 😋 , good old food is hard to find. Lots of mom and pa shop closing up. So Thank you for sharing 👍
Thanks Jay, its been a while since I've seen a video, I'm still on hospital food but chow time really gets the juices flowing
Central California Watching
Sorry to hear that. Hope things improve sooner than later.
Looks delicious 😋
That looked amazing 😋. I haven’t had really good homemade perogies in forever. So it’s going for 11pm now and now I’m starving lol. Great episode! 👏🏻
😁
Best kind of videos to watch during a lunch break :D
🤤🤤😁
Looks delicious!
Oh my goodness I love pierogis and kielbasa! You made that look so good, now you got me in the mood to have that! Yum! Super awesome Chow Time! Thanks so much JP!
🤣🤤
Yum! Thanks for taking us along; feel free to take us to another ethnic deli or shop or restaurant. Thoroughly enjoyed this! God bless you, JP. 🌝
Glad you enjoyed it
that looks amazing. ❤❤
🤤
You made me so jealous!!! The pierogies looked delicious!!! My mom used to make them or she bought them from the Slovak church that made them every week. Nothing like the homemade ones !!! You brought back a lot of great memories and made me very hungry !!!
OMG!!! My Lil Polish grandma used to make some kind of pierogis...potato
/cheese and cabbage/potato. Chrusciki, light as air. Have you had golobki (pronounced ga wump ki)?? Meat and rice mixture wrapped in cabbage leaves, stacked in tomato sauce and pressure cooked!
Good lord I'm drooling! Kielbasa is still my favorite sausage!
Hillshire Farms brand, if you have it up there, is the closest I've come to the kielbasa I remember as a kid!
Thanks for the ride. I wonder if Pittsburgh ships.🤔😁
I unfortunately dont care for cabbage, but sounds good though.
Thank you! Now I know how to get from the Westin to the noms. :)
Really looked good .. . Guess I'll have to buy some next shopping trip .Won't be as good but now I have to try a Pierogi and see what I've been missing ..Learned something once again : }
I really enjoyed them, but the kielbasa really suprised me.
I grew up in Milwaukee, WI
where the population was German and Polish. Got my love for the food from there. I am so hungry right now after watching this. Talk about comfort food for me!
Thank you it look good 👍
Wow that looks so good!!... I have to try and find a polish deli in my area. I love kielbasa, but I've never had a real one from a traditional deli.
I too am half polish! My mom made them when l was a kid. I wish l would have learned how ! Thanks for bringing back good memories 🥰
Omg I have been in the mood for pierogies.
Yummm looks so good...Tomorrow I am cooking kielbasa, sauerkraut and perogies in the crock pot. Thank you for a good video...
😁💙
You picked an awesome place JP. My dad would take me there as a kid. He was all about his pierogis
It was a great choice. I loved the polish speaking staff as well.
Yummy! A friend of mines mother made pierogis all the time, holy moly were they good. My favorite was cheese, bacon, onion. Oh the good 'ol days. Thanks for sharing your lunch Jay 😋 👍
🤤
I'm Polish in my 60s. My mom made pierogies one by one took hours the whole process. Fantastic. My dad spoke and wrote Polish tho was born here. Amazing. There's Mom and Pops Pierogies directly across from old Kmart on Casey Ave Wilkes Barre Twp. Been there and a previous spot for a long time. You may want to check it out.
what a great little store
Yum! Wish i could taste it!
Ugh! I only had leftover pizza for supper. Your food looked & sounded so DELICIOUS!!! Thx for sharing a bite! You mentioned potato pancakes love them. Great Chow time! Did you get your sweet mustard to take home?🥰
I didnt, they got really busy. But will be getting some on an upcoming return trip.
Kudos to you & your family for traveling during the COVID-19 post-winter of 2021! I loved seeing all the Pittsburgh videos but it seems like a ghost town… even in late March! There are so many people in the city who worked from home over the Covid months that I’m not surprised by the lack of people on the streets. This Tuesday will be June 1 and lots of people have been vaccinated and lots of businesses and restaurants are now open for business inside and out, so come back and visit us and maybe see the 3 Rivers arts festival June 4 through the 13th! It is really a special treat to attend! The fountains should ALL be in operation!
I just returned recently from my 3rd trip. Was more crowded this time, but less people allows for easier filming and navigating.
I love pierogies myself and I am Swiss Norwegian 😂
Pierogies are delicious and I would hope everyone has tried them and been hooked 😊
Thank you for sharing the bus ride snd meal with us 😊💕
My pleasure 😊
I am part Polish as well. Pierogies are delicious
I will have to try them
Looks yummy!!!! 💖💙💖💙💖
I am so jealous!!! I LOVE PEROGIE!!
your making me hungry ...lol...i live way south of Pittsburgh and have been there plenty of times but never saw the place your at.. somehow i missed it for sure great video
Make a trip back and give it a try
That looks really good JP, nothing like that here in houston. I wish there was, I'm going out to eat tomorrow at a Mediterranean buffet. I love that Grey poupon mustard, that stuff us great.
I make my own pierogis with saurkraut or potato and cheese. My grandmother taught me. It is a lot work but worth it Yum
I've never tried a perrogie before. It looks good! The sausage looked delicious too.
Cant go wrong with either choice there
Looks good makn me hungry never tried it but will if I can we don't have that here thanks 😀
Tease ! 😜 Now I feel the need for a two hour drive from York to Wilkesbarre/ Plymouth/ Plains area.
🤤
Best pierogis I've had since my grandmother passed away, St. Ann's in Harrisburg.
Pierogies 'n at...
Welcome to the 'burgh!
5th generation Pittsburgher here...
Enjoy your stay and come back again soon!
When my daughter's were in high school, we had an exchange student from Poland. I made her golabki's and she said they were better than her moms (I am not Polish, but was taught by a friend)!
Two of the best foods EVER kielbasa and pierogis!! YUMMY 😋👍🏻❤️
😊💙
I absolutely love pierogies and kielbasa. Pittsburgh is an hour drive for me but it definitely sounds so worth it. Don’t know how my husband would feel about me wanting to take that kind of drive but maybe we could make it worth it for a date night lol
Make a day trip out of it. Lots of good food choices there.
Awe Pittsburgh is a little bit of a drive for us here in beaver county but I recommend u guy..lots to see n do there!
I hope u get to go..
Can't go wrong with some Polish food! Looks yummy.
Was just what the doctor ordered haha
Yummy!!
I have not had them before thay look good
Try that Kielbasa on the grill. Put it on a roll with mustard. A real treat!
Aluminum foil layer of onions, kielbasa on top of onions, sauerkraut in the kielbasa ring layer of onions on top of sauerkraut fold foil up leave a steam vent cook on grill. Can also use a little beer on sauerkraut, alcohol cooks out. Great meal, taste delish.
@@bascia3125 OMG .... that's so delicious! You can do that with brats too!
Wait - candy store?? I hope you got to go there too 🤤 (still watching, we'll see...)
My friend's mom used to make Polish food every Christmas - it was _so good_ , I need to learn to make some of that myself, as I am 1/4 Polish!
I already did the candy store in a previous video. Check my Pittsburgh playlist where we went to the strip.
Yay Chow Time! 🍴 Potato pierogis with a dollop of sour cream. 😋 That was probably honey brown mustard with the kielbasa?
That's exactly the right way to eat Kielbasa, with mustard. I was hoping to find out what kind of mustard it was? Your food looked so good.
When I to back I will pick up a bottle
I love Pittsburgh. The city of bridges 🌉
It's a great city
I’ve never been there but I’ve had had homemade pierogis. I had a polish aunt that made them and then I made them. I usually just bought the store bought.
Yummy
Morning mate 120 dollars sounds so expensive lol my brain was doing conversions and was like yeah na I can't afford that take out ever 😅.. but it's the experience not the price 🙂. Great review mate have an amazing weekend
Under 20 dollars lol. cost around 17-18 US dollars lol
I love chow time
Did you go and buy some of the mustard JP?
The line was very long when I went back inside. Will get some on an upcoming return trip.
Have you tried Slice of Heaven in Mocanaqua and Ballyhoo in Pittston?
I haven't
I actually ate at this restaurant in the strip district on several occasions it's not bad it's not great but it's not bad
Hey JP, how does the kielbasa compare to Schiff's kielbasa?
Never tried theirs
@@JPVideos81 Wow, you're from the Scranton area and never had Schiff's kielbasa? That is unbelievable my friend. You need to buy a few rings of the smoked and make it for the fam one night.
I’m Polish and from Pittsburgh and grew up on pierogies and Kielbasa ( we say Kielbasee). Just like you said it. It’s so good! I’m in a mood for that now! Thanks for the video.
I gotta head back for some more. 😊
The best perogies are just the straight cottage cheese ones, especially with a nice tangy farm made cheese. The some good old Mennonite farmer sausage.
We ate potatoes every day, no need to put them in perogies
Polish sausage is the best. 👍
I love Kielbasa
I lost my car in the summer of 05 downtown Pittsburgh in their paid parking lot structures for a few days ?? 😩🤯😭
Ritter’s Diner, next!
Even what you're eating something I would you make it look so tasty.....
wow i didnt know you were polish, i am too but not fully, just on my fathers' side
If S&D is your benchmark for perogies in Pittsburgh, then I feel for you. They have re-heated machine made Chicago perogies. There are tons of places offering real perogies in PGH. Try the St. John Ukrainian Catholic Church or COP OUT Perogies or a dozen of other places. You want reheated Kasia perogies, buy them at Giant Eagle - it will be cheaper.
Polish food is real good ..... all foods are good so long as there not hot and spicy....
WOW THAT'S NOT A BAD PRICE FOR ALL THAT...HOW LONG DID YOU END UP HAVING TO WAIT FOR THE BUS??
Bus came in less than 10mins
GOOD NOT LONG AT ALL
the only thing miissing from those empty streets were tumble weed..Stay safe and greetings from Manchester UK.
COVID screwed up the whole world.....
Thanks Jay, I just took a bite out of my laptop............
Yummy!, Give me some.....lol....🥰
Did you find out the name of the mustard ?
You did pittsburgh good
Do they ship?
Check their website. I added it in the description.
dude...its a short walk from where you waited for the bus to the deli....lol
I'm from PGH and I make the Best pirogies!!!
Mmm You know I dont think I have ever had them
They are worth trying
HA u made me salivate!! X
🤤🤤
