Hey josh . Thanks for the video. Do you have a video on how to cut the door down to size ? It’s simple but your cut looks really perfect and the 1x2s appear to be flush .
Was there a specific reason for not precutting the diagonal pieces before putting them on the door to be flush? Also, how did you achieve such a nice straight cut after gluing all the diagonal boards on? Did you use a jigsaw?
It was one of Sherwin Williams brands. I believe pro classic. The color is triton. However, I'm just the trim guy. Painters came in after me and finished the work.
Love your work & this door! About to ‘attempt’ to duplicate your fine work. Is there a private way to communicate w you in case I need to make a ‘911’ call?😀
I would say 250-300 for lumber. I don't have a price on the hardware, or track but guessing it's 200-300ish. So $450-$600. I'm just the trim carpenter for a builder so materials & prices on them are out of my hands.

It would help a lot of us….and tell us what you are doing and materials used great video
Classy looking job . We’ll done, going to try this one myself 👏
Thanks Alan, good luck on the door.
Beautiful door man.

Best I've seen!!
I'm assuming finished plywood and oak planks?
Did you spray or roll the paint and was it hard to paint between the chevron spacing?
Excellent job! Greatings from Russia :D
Hey thank you.
Nice,what paint color is that?
Fantastic.
Thank you thank you
Very nice. What kind of paint and finish did you use?

@@joshfordwoodwork340 thanks
The design is poplar?Very. nice work. I am just about to build new doors for my entire house and and i think this is the design I will choose.
Thank you I appreciate that. Best of luck on the doors.
Beautiful door. What kind of flooring is that in the bathroom?
Honestly not 100% sure. It was a really shiny tile.
Would this work on an existing exterior door
Won't u see dust between the panels over the time ?
What size gap did you use between the boards?

So pretty ! 😍
Thank you
You could have put the glue on the planks instead and that would have saved you a step to put marking on the door right?
How much did the materials cost? The only place I can install this is the master bath so I will do it. Thx.

What kind of wood did you use? Plywood and strips.
Ya I used birch plywood with poplar 1x6
@@joshfordwoodwork340 looks amazing
How does someone figure the amount of 1X material to order for something like this
Looks great! What type of wood did you use for the build? Was it heavy?
Thank you! I used poplar for the chevrons and trim around the door, & birch plywood for the back. It was pretty chunky, I'd guess 75 lbs or so
What exact paint did you use ? I just built one but I can’t find the right shade of black & this one looks magnificent!
I believe this is tricorn black from Sherwin Williams
And thank you
Wait a minute.. how did you paint it? 🤦🏻♀️
I just do the trim in new homes & the GC hires a painting company for that.
Good job sir! I'm from Malaysia 😁 Did you use waterproof plywood as your base flat door?
Greeting from the U.S.
Thanks for watching.
No the plywood isn't waterproof.
@@joshfordwoodwork340 so, what type of wood or something else did you used as a base of door? Solid wood ? Mdf?
@@mohamadnorizzuddin8750 oh yes sorry, the base was A-grade 3/4" birch plywood.
Love it! What did you use for the design, 1x4?
I ripped a 1x6 down to 4-1/2"
Why do people not do the back side of the door on these builds?
I suppose it's preference, also cheaper to do just one side.
