kunik61 not sure if this is entirely true been a while since i read the early chapters but i’m pretty sure it’s just a random mutation from being half yoma. many of the yoma have sharp ears so this trait probably got passed down randomly when people were made into claymores. they aren’t ever referred to as elves i don’t think.

@@erikondrums It's as maaan already said. It's pointless to look at Rafaela's rank since it doesn't reflect her strenght. (she would be rank 1 or rank 3 in clare's generation) also she is the oldest claymore alive at that time. She got her rank "under table" to help organization deal with few things. (i think it was in exchange for info on her sister) Even Ilene herself said, that she would lose against her, even in her prime condition. Also i think that in average generation Ilene could reach no.1 rank. (2 monster class and 2x2 from twin project doesn't help her case)
There will most likely be no second season. First most anime are made to drive Manga/LN sales, since this one ended years ago I doubt they will do it. Second the current anime screwed up the time line with that last battle. The only real hope is if Netflix or Amazon decide to make it.
