Manga ending can often be pretty disappointing, but I think Claymore's ending was very enjoyable. It let Teresa come back and give her the most well deserve payback possible.
What I loved about claymore is that the underlying message is about humanity and human resilience. They get their power from yoma but ultimately they grow and achieve the impossibles from bond, love they have as humans for others and community. Priscilla was the opposite end where past regret,trauma, rage engulfed her and fed her power which is why when she was contronted with Teresa's awakend state(twin goddess) she released all of that within her as if she's faced in front of god, repenting for her sins and ultimately being saved. It was good ending for both. At times it seemed like there was alot of dialogue and narrative, but I liked that the author clearly had a message he wanted to say through this incredibly fiction. It was done in a very creative, immersive, and cathartic way as well.
I love this chapter mainly because of the dynamic between the number ones. Cassandra was often shunned by the Dust Eater for being a "dirty" technique. But here Teresa, the greatest number one who ever lived, honors her by telling her straightforward how she would´ve been cut many times by the technique and later on she copies it to hurt Priscilla. It´s a tribute, a camaraderie between the highest of each generation.
The fight was balanced, one moment Teresa would hit, the next Priscila would get beaten hahaha. Now seriously, two moments really catch my attention in this story. 17:29 this is the first, when Teresa says that only Irene's technique with her own power would be able to destroy Priscilla. Irene's technique is really fabulous then. In addition, Teresa's face shows a longing for Irene, one of the only people who managed (even if only a little) to come close to Teresa's level. They would have been great friends under other circumstances. 18:52 This is the another one, where Teresa says that her original power shouldn't be that great, but she only got so strong because of Clare's belief that Teresa is invincible. It is said that awakening is directly related to one's desires, generally the most vile and lustful desires, In Clare's case, that's not what happened. Clare's greatest desire was to see Teresa once again and her strongest belief was that Teresa is incomparably powerfull. Although I find the love between Riful and Dauf very strong, I think the truest love in Claymore is that of Teresa and Clare. It is not a love that involves blood ties, physical attraction, romantic interest or anything like that. It's just love.

And I don't mean that she came close, just that she was the one with the shortest distance compared to Teresa.I never said, or even considered, that they are on the same level of power. But symbolically, Irene was the only one Teresa could consider as something similar to a rival and a friend, since Teresa only had relationships with those who were strong.

I see Cassandra as being on the same level as Irene, maybe a little above, but nothing insurmountable.
I remember first seeing Claire's awakened form being Teresa and was filled with so many emotions. I really wish we could have gotten a second season of the anime.
Thank you for putting this together. I still go back and read this online. Teresa putting an end to it all and finally getting the justice she deserved was one of the best moments in any manga ive read or anime ive watched. With Cassandra and the other former number 1's resurrection, Teresa's was not surprising. Also, Teresa's Awakened form is the perfected version of the twins' with Clare holding her humanity while Teresa is awakened, fully on theme from the start of their relationship.
Watched all of the claymore anime for the first time at the start of the year and picked up the manga afterwards which I ended up finishing yesterday and it was fire🔥. I’m glad i gave this series a chance, one of the best dark shounen anime/manga out there! Truly a masterpiece. So thankful that Clare got a happy ending, it was deserved after all she and the other claymores had to go through. Claymore forever⚔️
I cried at the end. This is a long journey literally. I knew Claymore manga almost 20 years ago. And just saw the most impressive moment that Clare has been always looking for... the last hug from Terasa.

She doesn’t copy the techniques, the so called “techniques” for other claymores are just normal movements for her. And her greatest power is her unbelievable high level yoki. Her 10% of yoki is even higher than 80% of Priscilla’s yoki.

She say's it herself in the fight, clare is her heart and Clare's experiences even help Teresa become greater than she was even as number 1. The final form she uses is derived by what makes both clare and teresa so powerful as people and her last attack is something given to them both by the Claymore that saved clare's life early on in the series.
Imagine if Netflix adapted Claymore into a live action series like the Witcher but aligned the story with the source material until the end. Story, character and action wise, this would be their biggest series on GOT level. Especially with the majority female cast.

Was watching this on mobile phone in the morning with the brightness dimmed because of the darkness. Then somehow the brightness turned itself up the moment the panel from 18:30 showed up... and it was ... GLORIOUS! The scene really packed the extra "oomph", you know?

Just saw the anime on netflix and i wanna say that the characters are well portrayed specially the scene where Clare got played by ophelia.. Her helplessness her facial reaction is not exxagerated like you see on other anime... I finished all episodes and searched maybe there is more of the anime. I found a game of it but it does'nt really do well for an nds game... All in all the Claymore is now 1 of my treasured anime i will carry to up to grave.
Don't listen to Wojciech... The anime was fantastic and I feel your love for it too! I fell in love with Claymore the Anime first then finished the 155 chapters of the Manga because the anime only covered the first 55 chapters I found out. Unfortunately the author of the Manga Yagi Norihiro didn't want more than 26 episodes made of the anime. Hopefully someday they will realize and come back to the rest of Claymore because I will agree that the anime ending was pathetic, but I understand why they ended it that way. I won't spoil anything in the comments, but it does set it up for more episodes down the road if they chose to go that route.... One spoiler I will give, if you can call it a spoiler, is that there is a 7 year time skip after the Massacre in the North campaign. Trust me I just ordered the entire 26 VOLUME collectors set of the Manga off Amazon for a steal. I know how you feel @wierd2016
OMG, I got goosebumps again, just finished the manga yesterday, and your video make the ending more enjoyable. The final battle really is the final plot twist. I thought Clare and her comrades have no hope, everyone almost forget about Teresa. Booms, the final awake form of Clare is Teresa, and Teresa's awake form !!! A rematch, yessss. Clare finally be able to speak her sadness, her mind, her goodbye to Teresa . Beautiful ending
Since you have watched this. Clare's awakens Teresa of the faint smile in her as she her flesh to become a ghost (claymore) rather than a yoma. So in short: Fully awakened Clare is just average Teresa.

This versions translation sucks a bit! An example englisch (fake) quote: "I'm not flesh and blood, so regenerate as fast as you wan't" (WHAT) . Original "This is not your flesh and blood, so regenerate as many times as you wan't" It's Priscilla's flesh and blood, not Cassandras. In the englisch version, Teresa is speaking about herself, what makes no sense. I even have read comments who didn't recognize the mistranslation and their are really thinking Teresa was speaking about herself, not Cassandra, to sad. Another example, Teresa (fake) quote: ... "couldn't thoroughly beaten her". Original: ... "shouldn't dominate in such a manner". In the original Teresa never stated she can't beat Priscilla. Only not in such a manner or "way", what makes sense, since it was a stomp and no battle. Their only two examples, from many.

The funny thing about Teresa and Claire. She didn’t have to beat her up like that. She could’ve just ran out of the town. There’s no way she could have kept up with a Claymore.
On RUclips Priscilla took Teresa head but Teresa is always 2 steps ahead and I was disappointed when they allowed Priscilla to take het head. I hated it watching it afterwards.
A shame that the ending was just rushed after the expanded so much on the world. Mr yagi is like hey it heres some interesting enemies that may very well want to see how the island is coming along. But they wont because why not lol I think we was just tired of writing the story at that point. But I'd rather see a long hiatus than an abrupt end.
Yeah it is indeed a shame, but I also think he might have rushed it because Claymore's popularity had dwindled down quite a bit. I feel like he was sort of trying to give us a preview of what he had in mind if Claymore had continued, but he probably had to just finish it because it was probably that or it die on a hiatus that he knew he wouldn't be able to bring it back from. Hiatuses are tricky, they can be a good thing for a well supported and well established series, like One Piece for example; One Piece going on hiatus means absolutely nothing, you know 100% it's coming back because it has a super dedicated fan base that supports it with their time and money, but a hiatus for an already rocky series that couldn't get the ratings to justify a second season could spell the series demise. Some series go on hiatus and seem like they are legitimately never going to come back, so even with not getting a fully fleshed out anime or the expanded world building that we got a sneak peek of, I'm actually really thankful that Claymore wasn't abandoned and was officially concluded. I have a strange knack for always falling in love with series that end up getting abandoned or go on decade+ long hiatuses, so I'm really relieved to be able to say Claymore isn't one of them. In a way, there is some beauty in things not being fully explained or explored. Me and my best friend have spent hours sharing our theories and possibilities about Claymore's world and lore because it left us with just enough to let our imaginations run wild. I'm crossing my fingers that a studio reboots Claymore someday, it came out at the wrong time, nowadays everything is about inclusivity and representation, and I think Claymore is one of the few examples of that where it was actually done very well. I think Claymore would be incredibly popular if it came out today.
@@just_matos8290 yes, like claymore writes interesting female characters which some people think isn't possible. They are beautifully designed and dont play on sex appeal for clout. All of the characters have depth and are flushed out pretty well most of the time. I dont get how a series like this can't get notoriety, but the same isekai/harem/ecchi crap can get not one, not two, but sometimes 3 whole seasons. Also claymore has a unique art style and my gosh we could use more of that in today's age. It's like anime has become so mainstream that they just copy paste ideas and it seems like not many can have an artist's signature. Like you can look at claymore and know of Mr Yagi's involvement, something i find tricky to see in mainstream anime. Side note perhaps he could do a sequel to claymore focusing on the entire world not just their island to get the point of view of the people on the outside world. The organization is in fact awful, but considering the war and what they are up against it's easy to see the I desperation and how they used it to justify the atrocities they committed. Ijust feel like there is still so much potential in the claymore universe. I tried reading his recent work and I just cant get into it just doesnt feel as unique as what drew me to claymore.

As for its popularity I would hope so but I dont know it's like shows that have a dark serious tone never get the recognition I feel they deserve. Its likely due to again the lack of pervy scenes and comedic values that most people who watch anime now come in expecting. To be honest I think anime in the modern form is incredibly bland yet they keep making new shows of the same format and it gets notoriety i guess people have just taken a liking in the fan service over actual quality.

Yup she may have no special techniques but her yoki perception is so high she can read any attacks and moves . She can also mimic any techniques and use it as a regular move she doesnt even need to use her yoki thats why she is the strongest claymore or should i say monster the organization have created she even surpassed any abyssal one
Opinión impopular, pero no me gustó esta batalla, para empezar Clare es la protagonista, esta era su batalla, el final de su recorrido, pero no, te ponen a Teresa, entiendo que se da a entender que en el fondo las 2 estaban peleando, pero solo vemos a Teresa, además que fue un guionazo la pelea, la misma Teresa le dice a Clare que ella se hizo fuerte gracias a su imaginación, cosa que no tiene ninguna justificación por donde lo mires
''Gracias a su imaginación'', se refiere a que esa no es realmente Teresa, o al menos no como lo era en vida, sino una versión idealizada/imaginada por Clare (ella siempre la vio mas fuerte de lo que realmente era, de ahí que sea mas fuerte que la Teresa real) y al mismo tiempo es la transformación de Clare (1ª transformación/Teresa) y la de Teresa (2ªTransformacion/Teresa alada), entre estas 2 cosas resulto ser mas fuerte que Priscilla. Es cierto que si el punto fuerte del manga fueran los combates, quitar a Clare de la pelea final podría haber estado mal. Sin embargo creo que priorizaron la historia por encima de los combates, desde el principio toda la historia es deprimente, en todos los combates lo dan todo y aun así los que logran ganar son amargos, mueren muchos personajes a los que se les dedico un tiempo y desarrollo solo para ver como sucede de nuevo en el siguiente combate. Por primera vez en todo el manga, este fue el único combate que no fue deprimente, no se siente que algo malo pueda pasar en cualquier momento y en lugar de perder amigos logro reencontrarse con Teresa, siendo el ultimo combate.

Ver a esas dos pelear, fue algo que disfruté netamente Capaz fue un fanservice?, puede ser. Pero me encantó ese cruce de espadas entre dos número uno. O la ilusión de que así pudo ser, después de todo Cassandra era netamente un cadaver reanimado y Teresa era solo una ilusión de ideales por el poder de Clare, no es que Teresa haya vuelto a la vida, simplemente la forma despertada de Clare tomó esa forma porque así ella lo quiso, así como Luciela y Rafaela, la cual simplemente era una masa que devoraba todo, pero, la forma que esa masa quería tener fue la de dos hermanas finalmente juntas. Hasta hay un cuadro donde se alude a la tecnica de Alicia y Beth, Donde se ve que Clare controla a su yo interno despertado (Galatea lo percibe). Clare's fully awakened mode is Teresa, since she has her head in her body instead of a regular yoma. She was a special experiment to the Organization, which makes sense because they kept as much tabs on Clare as possible especially when she would release her yoma up to the POINTS of her pushing her limits and NEVER awakening. After Clare actually released enough yoki to actually awaken, Teresa was reborn. On top of Teresa being reborn, she took it a step forward and AWAKENED herself. So Clare technically did a double or maybe triple, awakening. Teresa, therefore, was brought back to life due to being the yoma ingredient for Clare to be a claymore, instead of any ol' regular yoma carcass. This is why Clare was able to see any special sword style or ability all other claymores could use and use it herself. Teresa was and always be THE strongest and formidable Claymore in Claymore history. If the anime continued and leaked into the rest of the world where yoma are actually DRAGONS fighting the human race, Teresa MIGHT be able to stand a chance but we will never know.

It makes sense actually. Teresa was winning in her first battle against a near-awakened Priscilla (who is the second strongest character in the Claymore universe), and the only reason she died was because she had mercy on Priscilla and let her guard down, which is something that happens in real life too. And if Teresa had won against Priscilla in the first fight, she would have easily slayed all the Yomas, Awakened Beings, and she could have also destroyed the Organization herself if she wanted. So we wouldn't have much story to begin with lol xD
When Clare auqired Teresa's power, Teresa triggered all of Clares experience and techniques to the fullest. Her original lacked the techniques, but has the power to use them powerful enough to kill Priscilla. Explained by Teresa, "With my power as a base, I'll use her technique to the fullest." Clare enables Quicksword but Teresa's power was the "trigger". There is a reason why Yagi killed Teresa first and resurrected her last.
One of the very few manga endings that gave me everything I wanted.

She doesn’t copy the techniques, the so called “techniques” for other claymores are just normal movements for her. And her greatest power is her unbelievable high level yoki. Her 10% of yoki is even higher than 80% of Priscilla’s yoki.

@@BlancaEstella4837 honestly they both were needed to kill Prisilla. The reason Teresa lost against her in the first place was she was power without any real direction or purpose.
She say's it herself in the fight, clare is her heart and Clare's experiences even help Teresa become greater than she was even as number 1. The final form she uses is derived by what makes both clare and teresa so powerful as people and her last attack is something given to them both by the Claymore that saved clare's life early on in the series.

Imagine if Netflix adapted Claymore into a live action series like the Witcher but aligned the story with the source material until the end. Story, character and action wise, this would be their biggest series on GOT level. Especially with the majority female cast.

Just saw the anime on netflix and i wanna say that the characters are well portrayed specially the scene where Clare got played by ophelia.. Her helplessness her facial reaction is not exxagerated like you see on other anime... I finished all episodes and searched maybe there is more of the anime. I found a game of it but it does'nt really do well for an nds game...
All in all the Claymore is now 1 of my treasured anime i will carry to up to grave.

Don't listen to Wojciech... The anime was fantastic and I feel your love for it too! I fell in love with Claymore the Anime first then finished the 155 chapters of the Manga because the anime only covered the first 55 chapters I found out. Unfortunately the author of the Manga Yagi Norihiro didn't want more than 26 episodes made of the anime. Hopefully someday they will realize and come back to the rest of Claymore because I will agree that the anime ending was pathetic, but I understand why they ended it that way. I won't spoil anything in the comments, but it does set it up for more episodes down the road if they chose to go that route.... One spoiler I will give, if you can call it a spoiler, is that there is a 7 year time skip after the Massacre in the North campaign.

OMG, I got goosebumps again, just finished the manga yesterday, and your video make the ending more enjoyable. The final battle really is the final plot twist. I thought Clare and her comrades have no hope, everyone almost forget about Teresa. Booms, the final awake form of Clare is Teresa, and Teresa's awake form !!! A rematch, yessss. Clare finally be able to speak her sadness, her mind, her goodbye to Teresa . Beautiful ending

This versions translation sucks a bit! An example englisch (fake) quote: "I'm not flesh and blood, so regenerate as fast as you wan't" (WHAT) . Original "This is not your flesh and blood, so regenerate as many times as you wan't"
It's Priscilla's flesh and blood, not Cassandras. In the englisch version, Teresa is speaking about herself, what makes no sense. I even have read comments who didn't recognize the mistranslation and their are really thinking Teresa was speaking about herself, not Cassandra, to sad.
Another example, Teresa (fake) quote: ... "couldn't thoroughly beaten her".
Original: ... "shouldn't dominate in such a manner". In the original Teresa never stated she can't beat Priscilla. Only not in such a manner or "way", what makes sense, since it was a stomp and no battle.

The funny thing about Teresa and Claire. She didn’t have to beat her up like that. She could’ve just ran out of the town. There’s no way she could have kept up with a Claymore.
On RUclips Priscilla took Teresa head but Teresa is always 2 steps ahead and I was disappointed when they allowed Priscilla to take het head. I hated it watching it afterwards.

A shame that the ending was just rushed after the expanded so much on the world. Mr yagi is like hey it heres some interesting enemies that may very well want to see how the island is coming along. But they wont because why not lol I think we was just tired of writing the story at that point. But I'd rather see a long hiatus than an abrupt end.
Yeah it is indeed a shame, but I also think he might have rushed it because Claymore's popularity had dwindled down quite a bit. I feel like he was sort of trying to give us a preview of what he had in mind if Claymore had continued, but he probably had to just finish it because it was probably that or it die on a hiatus that he knew he wouldn't be able to bring it back from. Hiatuses are tricky, they can be a good thing for a well supported and well established series, like One Piece for example; One Piece going on hiatus means absolutely nothing, you know 100% it's coming back because it has a super dedicated fan base that supports it with their time and money, but a hiatus for an already rocky series that couldn't get the ratings to justify a second season could spell the series demise. Some series go on hiatus and seem like they are legitimately never going to come back, so even with not getting a fully fleshed out anime or the expanded world building that we got a sneak peek of, I'm actually really thankful that Claymore wasn't abandoned and was officially concluded. I have a strange knack for always falling in love with series that end up getting abandoned or go on decade+ long hiatuses, so I'm really relieved to be able to say Claymore isn't one of them.
In a way, there is some beauty in things not being fully explained or explored. Me and my best friend have spent hours sharing our theories and possibilities about Claymore's world and lore because it left us with just enough to let our imaginations run wild. I'm crossing my fingers that a studio reboots Claymore someday, it came out at the wrong time, nowadays everything is about inclusivity and representation, and I think Claymore is one of the few examples of that where it was actually done very well. I think Claymore would be incredibly popular if it came out today.
@@just_matos8290 yes, like claymore writes interesting female characters which some people think isn't possible. They are beautifully designed and dont play on sex appeal for clout. All of the characters have depth and are flushed out pretty well most of the time. I dont get how a series like this can't get notoriety, but the same isekai/harem/ecchi crap can get not one, not two, but sometimes 3 whole seasons. Also claymore has a unique art style and my gosh we could use more of that in today's age. It's like anime has become so mainstream that they just copy paste ideas and it seems like not many can have an artist's signature. Like you can look at claymore and know of Mr Yagi's involvement, something i find tricky to see in mainstream anime.
Side note perhaps he could do a sequel to claymore focusing on the entire world not just their island to get the point of view of the people on the outside world. The organization is in fact awful, but considering the war and what they are up against it's easy to see the I desperation and how they used it to justify the atrocities they committed. Ijust feel like there is still so much potential in the claymore universe. I tried reading his recent work and I just cant get into it just doesnt feel as unique as what drew me to claymore.

@@jevonrodgers4599 well the story for the claymores is concluded if we can call it that but as for the world beyond the island that's a whole other story they could go into. As for its popularity I would hope so but I dont know it's like shows that have a dark serious tone never get the recognition I feel they deserve. Its likely due to again the lack of pervy scenes and comedic values that most people who watch anime now come in expecting. To be honest I think anime in the modern form is incredibly bland yet they keep making new shows of the same format and it gets notoriety i guess people have just taken a liking in the fan service over actual quality.

Yup she may have no special techniques but her yoki perception is so high she can read any attacks and moves . She can also mimic any techniques and use it as a regular move she doesnt even need to use her yoki thats why she is the strongest claymore or should i say monster the organization have created she even surpassed any abyssal one

Opinión impopular, pero no me gustó esta batalla, para empezar Clare es la protagonista, esta era su batalla, el final de su recorrido, pero no, te ponen a Teresa, entiendo que se da a entender que en el fondo las 2 estaban peleando, pero solo vemos a Teresa, además que fue un guionazo la pelea, la misma Teresa le dice a Clare que ella se hizo fuerte gracias a su imaginación, cosa que no tiene ninguna justificación por donde lo mires
Yo te diría a lo mejor releer el manga y ver si hay temáticas que te parezcan que casan con este final.
''Gracias a su imaginación'', se refiere a que esa no es realmente Teresa, o al menos no como lo era en vida, sino una versión idealizada/imaginada por Clare (ella siempre la vio mas fuerte de lo que realmente era, de ahí que sea mas fuerte que la Teresa real) y al mismo tiempo es la transformación de Clare (1ª transformación/Teresa) y la de Teresa (2ªTransformacion/Teresa alada), entre estas 2 cosas resulto ser mas fuerte que Priscilla.
Es cierto que si el punto fuerte del manga fueran los combates, quitar a Clare de la pelea final podría haber estado mal. Sin embargo creo que priorizaron la historia por encima de los combates, desde el principio toda la historia es deprimente, en todos los combates lo dan todo y aun así los que logran ganar son amargos, mueren muchos personajes a los que se les dedico un tiempo y desarrollo solo para ver como sucede de nuevo en el siguiente combate. Por primera vez en todo el manga, este fue el único combate que no fue deprimente, no se siente que algo malo pueda pasar en cualquier momento y en lugar de perder amigos logro reencontrarse con Teresa, siendo el ultimo combate.
@@walterc5831 exacto.. no es que esa fuera la transformación real de clear.. aparte ya se vio la transformacion casi completa de clear vs rigardo.. las claymore que estaban presentes en la pelea serian las unicas q vieron la transformación real .. eso de teresa con alas era mas una metafora .. pero m quede con ganas de ver ah clear totalmente como es en su forma despertada real.. aunque creo que tampoco tomo la forma completa de un despertado xq osino ya no podria volver.. oh puede ser q se volvio un despertado y q mantenga la forma humana asi como riful, isley y otros. pero siempre me quedo esa duda sobre su transformacion.

Opinión es opinión, no hay opiniones impopulares, sólo no conocidas, a mí si me gustó la pelea, en primera instancia porque me gusta Teresa, y también me encanta Cassandra, ambas tuvieron momentos felices y finales deprimentes. Ver a esas dos pelear, fue algo que disfruté netamente
Capaz fue un fanservice?, puede ser. Pero me encantó ese cruce de espadas entre dos número uno. O la ilusión de que así pudo ser, después de todo Cassandra era netamente un cadaver reanimado y Teresa era solo una ilusión de ideales por el poder de Clare, no es que Teresa haya vuelto a la vida, simplemente la forma despertada de Clare tomó esa forma porque así ella lo quiso, así como Luciela y Rafaela, la cual simplemente era una masa que devoraba todo, pero, la forma que esa masa quería tener fue la de dos hermanas finalmente juntas. Hasta hay un cuadro donde se alude a la tecnica de Alicia y Beth, Donde se ve que Clare controla a su yo interno despertado (Galatea lo percibe). Ella se convirtió en la guerrera que la organización buscaba crear, una guerrera que pudiese usar sus poderes despertados y volver.

No sé que sentido tiene el que Clare sufra y que no se las arregle para luchar. Si no usa su mente, entonces básicamente no tuvo desarrollo de personaje.

When Clare awakened, instead of becoming a Yoma like the rest of the Claymores, she became Teresa, since she got her power from Teresa
Clare's fully awakened mode is Teresa, since she has her head in her body instead of a regular yoma. She was a special experiment to the Organization, which makes sense because they kept as much tabs on Clare as possible especially when she would release her yoma up to the POINTS of her pushing her limits and NEVER awakening. After Clare actually released enough yoki to actually awaken, Teresa was reborn. On top of Teresa being reborn, she took it a step forward and AWAKENED herself. So Clare technically did a double or maybe triple, awakening. Teresa, therefore, was brought back to life due to being the yoma ingredient for Clare to be a claymore, instead of any ol' regular yoma carcass. This is why Clare was able to see any special sword style or ability all other claymores could use and use it herself. Teresa was and always be THE strongest and formidable Claymore in Claymore history. If the anime continued and leaked into the rest of the world where yoma are actually DRAGONS fighting the human race, Teresa MIGHT be able to stand a chance but we will never know.

Clare awakened because she understood that she wasnt supposed to be the one to awaken, but the other person inside of her, and through their soul link teresa appeared, and then that teresa awakened
How can the most OP character Teresa died in early chapters? The writing is awful.
It makes sense actually. Teresa was winning in her first battle against a near-awakened Priscilla (who is the second strongest character in the Claymore universe), and the only reason she died was because she had mercy on Priscilla and let her guard down, which is something that happens in real life too.
And if Teresa had won against Priscilla in the first fight, she would have easily slayed all the Yomas, Awakened Beings, and she could have also destroyed the Organization herself if she wanted. So we wouldn't have much story to begin with lol xD

Her original lacked the techniques, but has the power to use them powerful enough to kill Priscilla. Explained by Teresa, "With my power as a base, I'll use her technique to the fullest." Clare enables Quicksword but Teresa's power was the "trigger".
There is a reason why Yagi killed Teresa first and resurrected her last.
