The amount of times I've flung my 3 Pro into trees and bushes sideways while trying to capture my car is crazy, I'm surprised the arms haven't snapped, I'm thinking this Mavic 3 Pro maybe the way to go

The telecameras are good now. But spotlight doesnt really work well with these telecameras imho. I am losing track of the subject constantly. So annoying. Needs a bit of work.
Tracking keep losing subject whether its group of person or things 😵💫
I agree. Spotlight mode is not reliable or predictable and if on a job and someone was needing you to do something, you couldn’t rely on it. I had an inspire 2 job that totally was like that.

Darren as you know I have the mini 3 pro. I’m at the top of Scotland at the moment. What a drone this is. Although it’s very hot here 20 degrees to 24, I sent it out to take pictures of a cruise ship and over the lock it was very windy, in-fact it was 35/40 miles an hour. I checked it first and it with stood the wind. I sent it over the lock and this chap said your going to loose it, I said watch this. Wow, it was steady as a rock. Flew great without a flutter. Best drone out 👍

I'm confused I just tried to use active track tracking my car and it kept on wanting to go into spotlight mode I think. it showed the car symbol and seem to be in spotlight mode but I couldn't tell it's kind of confusing! I guess what is the real difference between spotlight active track?
I have the Mavic 3 Classic Darren & its IFM Active Track is a different setup than the Mavic 3 Pro. I have had the Mavic Pro, Mavic 2 Zoom & both these drones especially the later have much better active track stability than on my new Mavic 3 Classic. It repeatedly fails to lock onto the subject. Just having it in the menu, I find a distraction as I mess around with it & waste valuable time around sun-rise when I could have been doing something in a more rewarding IFM. The Mavic 2 Active Track was a pleasure to use, up close more distant; great! A well structured video, it looks like Darren, you pay more you get more!

Nice video as ever there buddy, my mavic pro is on its way. Quick question on the Classic, am i right in thinking you cant zoom in when using the photo camera mode, unlike the mavic 3 pro where you can, or is there something im missing in the settings ?
unfortunately yes thats true you have to crop in during the edit

Quick question... While recording in spotlight or active track, can you switch between the lenses? So start off with normal lens and then flick to 3x?
yes you can but you have to cancel the box, switch lens, draw a new box and record
The bad part is that you need to get the drone in the air BEFORE you can go select active track.
I want to get a shot of a moving car where it follows the car sidewards and moves backwards while ascending at the same time. Is this possible to do? Should I use active track or spotlight mode?
Use spotlight for that
well explained...just a shame can't use active track when recording prores or log profiles....h264/265 normal only....not very "pro" and certainly not "pro cine". hopefully sorted in firmware update

Time 02:55. Drawing the box around the object I know but where did You tap to activate the positioning of the drone relative to the object?
Suppose the tracked object "disappears" behind a bunch of trees or a hill. What are the chances, possibilities, circumstances for the tracking function to catch the object again? Any timeout You have experienced?
I find when it loses you behind a tree for example it predicts the movement and normally finds you really quick. once you draw the box you get the on screen display to choose the position

@@DMProductions If I pass an underpass being away for 5 - 10 seconds I guess that task is too hard....
I see you had your settings in AUTO to change the ISO. How does the M3PRO deals with ISO changes? Is it like hard changes, or smooth transition?
Yeah normally I would manually adjust but as light was going fast I just put some settings in auto so I concentrate on the shots, it handles the adjustment really well and for the most part stayed the same

Do you need to have the controller on you too follow you? I ride dirt bike and want to make videos but it’ll be hard to have the controller while riding.

Don't be fooled folks. I love DJI drones and use them constantly but active track is sketchy at best. Especially on my Mavic 3 Pro. Constantly loses subject.
