It sounds like he's saying dogs don't go to heaven, but I watched a documentary in the childhood that prooves him wrong
hell yes. That's one of my favorite joke formats/formulas!!!
but i watched "all dogs go to heaven" as a kid, that man cant lie to me i know the truth! 😢 all dogs are good boys and good boys go to heaven!
Yahweh has a habit of caring massively about meaningless stupid shit.
Almost as if Yahweh himself is meaningless and stupid...
When I went to Spain and there were topless or nude beaches it didn’t faze me at all. There wasn’t even anything remotely sexual about it either. People understood that we all have bodies, that our bodies are normal and were just chill about it. No big deal. It made me think about how puritanical we can be in the states, and how hard we often try to hide our bodies instead. But we all still have them whether we cover them up or not.
I've always found it weird how over sexualized the human body has become in the states (specifically women).
If god wanted us to wear clothes, he wouldn’t have given us all such magnificent jumbley bits!
entirely culture. many indigenous trives in hot climate dont wear clothes. probably made sense for people in colder climate to have the urge to keep clothes on so they dont freeze to death when night comes and they wear nothing
Yes, wearing clothes in hot and humid climates is horrible, every summer I wish colonization didn't happen.
Humans aren’t the only ones that wear clothes. There’s dozens of animals that wear material for protection. I don’t know if any wear stuff for warmth though 🤔
Every pastor is a lost weedbro just looking for that "whoa that wordplay is deep" moment.
because we don't want mosquitos biting our junk!
It's because of the weather, wearing clothes is a thing that happened as an adaptation to the cold, I'm South American, our weather is hot and humid, and in some places it rains almost every day, so clothing is a hassle, so many of our indigenous people didn't wear clothes, the Portuguese came here and called all of the naked people uncivilised.
Yeah lmao. As someone who also lives somewhere tropical, being topless is just sensible!
I LOVE cute clothes. But I also LOVE being naked. It's a dilemma.
be naked cutely?
I'm fortunate enough to rent a place with all bills paid, so naturally I blast my AC (because fuck parasites, i.e. landlords). Thus, I stay fairly clothed. If I was in a position to have to ration my electricity, I'd be full nudist
honestly, smart, if you're cold you can always wear more layers, if you're too warm you cant like, remove your skin so there is a limit to how many layers you can remove 😂 (also don't fuck landlords they dont deserve to get the secks)
Like the Renaissance, humanity must put religious shame and hate aside to progress
-my tired brain at 12am, trying to sound deep
your tired brain succeeded in the opinion of my also tired brain who just woke up at 1:30 am
They said If God wanted us to fly we'd have been born with wings.
Well, I say, if God wanted us to cover up we'd have been born with wool.
I'm not an exhibitionist, so wearing clothes seems import!
Alot of animals grow their own clothes. jesus christ dude
23:52 I'm pretty sure a lot of treating women as objects got preserved because of the Bible. I'm not saying it's the only way patriarchal standards got preserved, but it's got that take in there and it's been useful to grant authority to the views that people who want control pull from it.
He sounds like a creepy Casey Kasem.
or Cashey Kashem hah!
Isn't it funny that both AJ and this dude have... basically the same anthropology when it comes to human orgins of clothes, him through a biblical lens and AJ though a secular lens, but AJ is so blinded by his anti-theism (and idiocy) that he doesn't even notice....
Man... Chris would have a rough time wrapping his head around my, then, girlfriend, now, wife and Is naked Sundays. If we both had Sunday off we would spend the entire day naked in the house. It wasnt even.... entirely... sexual. It was a way of being comfortable with ourselves and each other. The skin on skin snuggling also does wonders for bonding too. Just overall good times with the person you care about.
skin on skin contact is proven to help form stronger bonds! so good on ya! plus, seeing eachother naked non-sexually allows you to know eachother much better and appreciate the true self! every couple should do that sometimes, just look at eachother with clothes on and without sexual thoughts 😊
Hurray for casual nudity
I miss Rome.
iirc we're technically still in an ice age
I think as long as both poles are frozen all year round it classifies as an ice age
Could be wrong though I'm not an expert on this and I learned about it quite some time ago now.
(Obviously it's different from the kind of ice age jake mentioned. I'm not trying to be a pedant here.)
Eating the fruit of knowing gave them the feeling of shame, that´s why we (the church) use it on you so often.
Also, weren't breasts a non taboo organ in the Minoan culture? regrese of sex.
I won't lie i still dont understand why female breasts are taboo but not make breasts, nipples are nipples man, same skin and everything! some men are even able to lactate! (let alone the fact neither should be taboo, since breasts are just like...in-built milk jugs 😂 its just natural bags of milk, or bottles for non-canadians I guess XD)
If we weren't meant to be nekkid, we'd come into this world wearing jeans and a t-shirt.
if anyone ever wonders why I now have a vomit reaction to the phrase "erotic desire" just watch this video about a guy using it in response to a letter from some weirdo staring at their dog's genitals
and yet, for some reason? no reaction to "communal butt sponge"
16:42 not only was the hygiene situation better, the science was doing pretty great too. While it wasn’t mainstream yet someone had already suggested that disease might be affected by cleanliness, a great thinker had already suggested that the sun might be the center of the solar system, and, in Rome, we had running water(using gravity to create pressure).
Christians not beating the weirdo allegations
Lololol he thinks inspired and expired are opposites
Oh, sure! Nobody cares when the dog does it, huh?!
Our hair is for radiating heat away from us and protect from the sun
You haven't lived until you've felt the joy of getting a sunburn on your shaved head.
Idk if you bring it up since I'm at the beginning, but humans have one of the best methods of thermoregulation in the animal kingdom, it's our sweat glands that removes the need for insulating fur
I mean yeah, that is ideal for higher temp areas, but it is also not great for colder climes. However, we had developed basic clothing before the species migration out of Africa. And because we had already developed need for clothing (warmth in the cold, basic protection from elements) we were able to successfully migrate and live in colder areas.
And then you get into the social development of the human species and it is very fluid to see how our "need' for clothing developed.
It's great in some climates, try being in a humid place which is also hot, it's awful and you feel like your boiling on the inside, or at least that's my experience every summer.
This was inspired. Thank you for a lovely half hour
