what do you mean by marking the linkage position? I've gotta do this as i snapped the small plastic bit that holds the ball joint right undernearth the actualy gear stick, so apparently have to replace the whole unit!
You're a gentleman, thank you for the reply! Yeah i gotta do it myself as i havent got the money to get a loader to the garage as its a bit far and for the part and labour but need it for work!@@Street_Fitter

Just tippex where the linkage cables snap into the gear stick connectors. You'll see what I mean when you take it off
