If she's not your favorite drummer, she's your favorite drummer's favorite drummer. Akane is one of the most 'musical' drummers I have ever heard in all my years.
I don't know where the power comes from. I mean to say, her arms & legs are just like knots on cotton. Of course all the bananas she eats must be a big help. Ha!Ha!
But still the energy required for a 20 song, 2 hour concert must be amazing. But then, she never ceases to amaze.
A common theme of the five maids is working their butts off! So not only is their music blowing everyone else away, you just can't help but love them more and more as you find out about them. They are a miracle.
Yes, that is it. We so often say things like, "they are so talented," but I have come to believe and say "they are so skilled." I say that because, yes they all must have musical talent, but it is the many, many hours of blood, sweat and tears that have created the incredibly skilled Band Maids we all love. They have ALL put in the work to be who they are and we have all been blessed to know them through their music.
I Agree but I also think miracle sells them short, they are where they are by pure brute force.. Which is just so fuckin rock and roll in a pure form

I always like to point out how lucky it is that we have footage of her in the bar band pre-Band-Maid haha. No one ever comments on how weird it is that some random dude filmed this bar band, focused on Akane, and uploaded the videos to RUclips, and that someone who knows Band-Maid found the videos and noticed it was Akane. They're not labeled "Akane Band-Maid" or something, after all. Have a great day.

Not gonna lie, that was literally my reaction because her lip syncing looked real and even when Saiki came on screen I was like wait so Akane is really good at singing???
and they cut the clip right before MISA appears with her interpretive dance 🤣
On Akane's double pedal, she uses or used a highly modified DW 5000. The reason I'm not sure is there was a post on 2 Chan about Akane trying a DW 9000 double pedal also double pedals from other manufacturers. That post was from before their Lollapalooza performance in Chicago. But she WAS using a highly modified DW 5000, with a Pearl connecting rod, and modified springs, chains and beaters. However at the Lollapalooza performance, she had an issue of some type with the kick drum and evidently the double pedals. Dai-San had to shift the drum and get out his gaffer tape and use one of Akane's drumsticks to do something to the pedal itself as it appeared to have shifted. So she MAY have been using a different pedal than she normally did.
Yes that was Herman Li from Dragon Force from a few years ago it's another one of those must see interviews/ audition. Still available on RUclips.
Herman once said to me "I can play Through the fire & flames with my eyes closed without making a mistake". I replied "I can make a nice sausage sandwich with my eyes closed & split the sausages perfectly in half", & a friendship was formed.😌

I typically wouldn't recommend Google Translate when it comes to translating anything Japanese or vice versa, but for pronouncing names and words, it is relatively good.
Thanks again. Fun watching these with you. You can really see the friendship between Akane and Kanami on stage. They look at each other and smile over and over during the performance. it's really touching. Do what you love with one of your best friends.
lol... the look on your face when Akane started showing off her lip synching skills. My favorite is during her birthday streaming when she did Rock in me in front of Miku.. also Miku's reaction, hilarious!!

I know way too much about each individual member it's kinda crazy as I usually just follow Rock bands for the music. I guess Kanami in particular just impresses me so much. From a typical pop rock group that gets their music from their label (first album). We got an amazing guitarist that never even played the instrument before, learning, and also self taught music composition and software useage after joining the group and now writes all their music. She's just so damn amazing
Doesnt hurt that she walks up and shreds her guitar 1 foot from your face at concerts when you lucky to get front row

Because SAIKI was singing - she walks into the camera at the end of that video. There is another part of that video where MISA and AKANE switch instruments and are blind folded trying to play.
The song in the background is "Don't be long" ... .one of their awesome instrumentals.

Here's a riddle for you to figure out . . . 'Secret May Lips'. What's wrong here? You're saying BAND-MAKO. A Mako is a shark. A Maiko (My-Co) is an apprentice geisha. The other thing you got wrong was Akane wasn't doing the "Amazing Singing". She was only miming. Saiki was singing. Anyway, carry ion with your music. With V Drums you can play them anywhere.
Jimmy Paige , thinks Akane is a good drummer also .
