Some alveolar spaces are non functional due to absent or poor blood flow from adjacent pulmonary capillaries and hence they contribute to Physiological Dead Space ma'am. Ideally, anatomical dead space nearly equals physiological dead space. Thebesian veins drain the myocardium and Bronchial veins constitute the pulmonary venous drainage draining into partly into Pulmonary vein and partly into Azygous vein, contributing to Physiological shunting of blood.
