    A couple of months ago I bought a Certified, low mileage, 2020 Corolla SE with the 6 spd manual. Not real crazy about the color, Blue Metallic Crush...looks kinda like purple. This thing is so much fun to drive! It sits pretty darn low to the ground. It will be garaged this winter, while I drive my 🌮.

    I love that car, but I'm adding a 40 mm lift kit to give it an additional 1.5" of ground clearance for the snow we get here in our Canadian winters. Going from 5" of clearance to 6.5" of clearance, which is barely enough for times when we get 12 inches of snow dumped in 24 hours. Good snow tires are another thing to get for the Corolla as you are not going anywhere without snow tires when you're driving through 6 inches of unplowed snow on the streets.

    • @FinalDriveshow
      @FinalDriveshow  4 года назад

      Wow! 😮 A lift-kit on a Corolla?!? You don't see that every day. However, it sounds like it will make a huge difference with all the snow you get up north especially with good snow tires. Let us know how it all works out this winter.

      @FinalDriveshow  4 года назад +1

      Yes, the infotainment system is rather large which makes it easier to see and use but makes for a huge eye sore as well. However, the 2020 Corollas are really good, so definitely check them out in person if interested. And if you're looking for an even sportier look, it was just announced the 2021 Corolla SE/XSE will have an Apex Sport appearance package!

  • @pronubcentral
    @pronubcentral 2 года назад +2

    Wait, so the CVT celebrates not having gears which somehow makes it better on paper and Toyota made the CVT better by adding gears?? lmao!
    I can't say anything I test drove a 2019 CVT and was like ugh, my 2010 LE has WAY more pep than this! I didn't know about it at the time but I'm all caught up now and I can't say I would argue this compromise to give you power AND efficiency!
    Dammit I'm cancelling my Malibu order. I can't let my toyota go yet man!

    • @FinalDriveshow
      @FinalDriveshow  2 года назад

      Yup! A CVT with gears. 😂 That said, the additional of a physical 1st gear makes a world of difference when it comes to acceleration from a stop. Malibu or Toyota? You can't go wrong with the latter...usually.

    This is a great car my only cons are lack of headroom. Windshield is to close to my face . Much smaller that the previous generation. And also I don't like the lane keep assist. The steering wheel moves on its own. It made me nervous when driving. Good thing this was only a rental

    Well.......let’s get real ...I’ve had the car since April....it drives nice BUT if I had a do-over, I would get the Mazda or the Honda Civic. My biggest complaint? There is NO ROOM TO PUT MY STUFF ...... loose change, masks, sunglasses, etc .....my 2006 civic had small storage compartments in the door, next to the huge console (try putting a water bottle in that silly console) There is too much road noise....and finally ( this drives me nuts !!!!!!!!!!!) the metal seatbelt on the passenger side rattles when it vibrates against the side post) yeah, I know, this sounds picky but I simply wish I had taken my time.....visited my local Honda dealer.....bought that beautiful Civic sitting in the front row. Ha ha ! Ha ha ! Finally, Search “2020 Corolla vs Civic” you might be surprised. *****Civic wins almost every single time...
    Just my opinion

      If you're referring to the vehicle's height, you will have to look into suspension upgrades like strut spacers, lift-kits, air bags, coilovers or bigger tires. If you're referring to seat height, I believe the driver's seat is height adjustable depending on the trim level.

It still drives like any Corolla meaning it is nothing else than reliable transportation from point A to point B. 6:02 "the seats are extremely comfortable" is pure exaggeration.
