I just did an inventory search on newcars.com to see if I could find a manual transmission Corolla sedan close to Dallas. The nearest car on a dealer lot is over 400 miles away.
I absolutely love it. They should've offered the 6MT in the Nightshade edition. I feel like most manual drivers are looking for that sporty, trendy look and offering the Nightshade in only CVT is a major ZONK in my book.
I said it before, this car looks even better in person. The proportions are spot on. For $23k thats a bang up deal. The fact that you can get it with three pedals makes it an awesome option. Still wish it made at least 200HP- lol

Corolla's is the most dependable and reliable in the world. I had one for 10 years and 250k miles with ZERO problems. I can't said the same about Honda Civic.
Wow, this car has officially passed the zonk test🤣 I really like the color on this car especially the fact that it’s a 6 speed manual although I agree I don’t like the bumper on the car it would’ve been better if they made it plain blue bumper and that double din stereo is an eye soar, they should’ve made it blend right in with the dashboard. Purchased one of these in white about 3 months ago. ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT! There is another USB, not just the one in the center console. It is close to the knee area just under the radio on the passenger side. My only zonk on the car are the front quarter windows. Not a fan of the way they look.
Great review. That's a nice car, and love the 6 speed. If Toyota can come out with a 6 speed for the Corolla why can't Audi, Jag, BMW, Cadillac, Mercedes, and others make a manual for those high output beasts they build???
Same feeling here. The other companies are just lazy or ignorant. A small percentage of their cars with a manual is a great way to diversify their customer base. Obviously most 'Mericans are too lazy to shift for themselves. But for those of us that prefer it, give us more options please!
Yep, not too many choices. Some BMWs still still offer those. Now, Mustangs are great choices especially with V8s. (I am biased as I own a manual-only Mustang Bullitt).

Awesome review! I actually learn manual just last year in this SE Corolla :-) Now days is soo easy to drive manual in this tech cars, but of course you need to learn the basics. Never going back to a automatic car. Now I'm actually looking into a Civic Si just because is turbocharge and more power. But if you are looking into learning how to drive manual... I highly recommend this Corolla.

Toyotas are just as reliable as any other car. RCR did a video on an old Corolla (or camry, i don't remember). Reliability is as good as the maintenance

Not only great that Toyota is still offering manual in the Corolla (both sedan and hatch and both SE and XSE), the manual is also one of the better one actually and not to mention the only auto rev match manual in the economy class. It's rare even in sports car let alone in the compact economy sedan.
I got the one I test drove to do a second gear scratch 😅 Fun little car and gets looks often Edit: the pedals are VERY close together to the point your heels may touch to press in the clutch but the car is forgiving and bumping the clutch won’t jerk it.
This is a good car for teenagers who just got their driving license. Especially with that 6-speed manual transmission 👌🏻 I think I know what I'm gonna drive next.

This Corolla SE is by far the smartest built in its class!. Gets great gas mileage has great zip with 169hp which is an amazing bang for dollar great reliability and fun performance. Once add 250-300hp and turbos price goes up and reliability just goes right downward. Test this car after 10 yrs and see if any other brand in this class with 250hp is still alive and see how much they've spent to keep it running that long. This things a far better long term package than anything in its class!
style 20 Yes but he was incorrect. The 2020 Corolla Sedan does not have Android Auto. They added it for the 2021 but it’s been standard in the Corolla Hatchback since the 2020 model year.

Overall i like the corolla but these small cars have to get their mpg's up. I have an elantra for work and it gets 45 hwy easily. Even in my standard optima i get 35.

I imagine you probably could if you know the right people willing to do the mod for you. I'm not sure why you'd want to do it on a Corolla - this is more of a learner manual. Maybe save the short shifter package for when you grow up to a real sports car.
A manual Toyota Corolla that isnt a Supra or TRD package. I see they are teasing the purist market a bit. Only if the supra the other day had this. Whats up with that? The design doesn't look bad either though, If they keep this up they might gain a portion of the market the competition isnt serving and they might potentially rebrand to be similar like Suburu's image

Get the hatchback 6-speed manual. It's not too big. Also, I agree with the off-white, it's ugly. An all-black interior looks better and I think it's available

That’s the IMT (Intelligent Manual Transmission). What it does is smoother start off , auto-blipping when downshifted, prevents stalling…..

A major zonk is that it didn't have Android Auto when it first car out and Toyota is slow to roll out it
Toyota & Google had to finalized a deal to allow Android Auto in their current lineup. There was a lot of dispute over the service until recently.

8:20 the USB and AUX are actually above the small pocket in front of the shifter. That USB and 12v in the center console are for charging only

The hatchback has less rear seat leg room, but I think it looks better overall and I would choose the hatch for sure.
