- Michael Ross of London's Seven Decades stage show, which uses original vintage guitars to tell the story of rock, on two highlights from the show's collection of guitars: a '56 Les Paul Goldtop and '58 "burst
How about we PLAY the guitars
Wow, a '58 burst with some cherry red that hasn't faded.
Been kept cased when not played! Well looked after.
God I love this channel
HarryAndAGuitar Cover Cage The Elephant pleaaase, preferably from Melophobia
He's running it into that Champ, what a tone! just like EC on the Layla sessions
More like '56 Middle-aged man mouth demo.
I wonder if when he's alone, he just sits there in a room holding the guitar and talking incessantly to no one.
MORE. We demand MORE!
a 58 i played was the best burst among 59s and a 60 too..
He’s managed to make a 58 burst boring….how do you even do that?
What is the signal chain at 5:35? I'm not sure how much RUclips alters the sound from the room but that 10 seconds of the 58 with slight overdrive is THE tone!
Scott Card I think that will just be the Champ turned up. I get a similar sound using a Fulltone OCD
Was this recorded straight through the champ? Any reverb added?
People obsess on old guitars, but new guitars sound and play just as good, or better, so wtf? Tone comes from the hands and heart, not the instruments, although it's nice to have good quality instruments, old or new..
Beauty guitars ,what amp was used near the end of the video ? Very nice. Tone!
Nothing beats a vintage tone of PAF humbuker in a real Gibson vintage burst Les Paul guitar.
I'll take one of each of these guitars
oh my god, that room though!
I just keep staring at that plexi in the back
do you prefer 50 or 60 profile neck?
People bitching about not too much play and too much talk are just insane. RUclips compressed sound will give you all the Mojo you want to hear ! right guys?
Some times a story has more meaning than just endless noodling through RUclips.
Great guitars!! Been playing 60+ years and love them all! But time is running out. Choose LIFE. Choose Jesus. NOW. Seems I have been appointed to tell the guitar world ... DO NOT IGNORE JESUS! He is the maker and savior of the world, but we are all sinners and all you have to do is ask him to forgive you and save you, confessing that HE is LORD! God bless!
Oooh nice step ladder!
You should change the title. Very clickbaity
I'd agree, sweet video but it's not really a demo
I am holding a 1958 LesPaul for my missing friend. I think it’s a 58 based on what I was told when he borrowed 1000.00 from me. I’ve been hesitant to sell it but it’s been 20 years and I need college money for my daughter.
Whaaaa...?
Dude is your friend still missing?
I'm him but I look different. I have the money.
Is this guy a lottery winner!!!
Lucky enough... Rich enough he wanted to say...
Id like to see those guitars plugged into to a 15 watt squier amp... jajaa all the job is done by THAT AMP!! . You never see this videos with old strats or les pauls along your trusty 15 watt cheap amp.
who is this ?
Less bellend, more playing. 👍
10 minutes of talk, 10 seconds of playing. Boo...
yes meanless talk about 2 guitars, for what is this good ?
Not much playing at all, mostly just talk. Very disappointed.
user9000 +1
user9000 annoyingly so, not even interesting or well spoken.
I think the same :-(
"demo"
The cavity around the bridge pickup...today we would call that sloppy work, and say that paul reed smith beats gibson quality :-) ;-)
I f your talking about 3:17 that cavity routing is perfect, whoever f'd with the pickup left it high.
NOT really a demo! Talk fest!
Am I the only one who thought he was sitting too close to the wall. Cuz I would hate to see an accidental head stock break.
kinkiebeast guy lives in an exotic appartment lol
A little less yapping, and a lot more playing please.
Hire Simo to demo your guitars. Those who know, do. Those who don't, talk.
Bad camera angle. Can't even see those beauties.
too much chat
those bridge saddles look crazy out of intonation
You can't judge whether or not a guitar is properly intonated by the "look" of the saddles. Some may follow a familiar look or formula, but definitely not all -- I have guitars where all the saddles are perfectly horizontal and aligned with each other while others vary considerably...yet all sound true entirely up the fretboard due to proper setup.
Hell, just look at the variance between the two in the video!
yeah, I didn't say it sounded out of intonation. but thanks for the lesson
Yap alert,turn back.....
wo man hinschaut bzw. hört immer dieses rumgedudel da fragt man sich können diese leute nichts spielen mit wiedererkennungswert ? passagen aus bekannten songs als beispielsweise
Ok I can’t take all the talking
less talking, more playing please
just a lot of blathering on!..
Stop talking for f.......sake . Play the fu.... thing
and freakin annoying " so" ... really annoying.
And is that really a 58 can believe that the guitar is so immaculate and has his burst still ...
Eb711 Yes I agree with you completely. That 58 is almost too good to be true
I'm sorry collectors, rich doctors and engineers... But all that shit price about old guitars and reissues is just because status made by stories. And we, guitarists, are tired of histories and stories! We wanna hear the tone, we wanna hear comparisons between these real 58/59/60 LPs and current Traditionals and Standards. So, to the next who think in show us your original "holy"Les Paul: Shut the fucking mouth and play that fuckin guitar!
Too much talk not enough playing'
Stop flapping your gums.....And play the dam guitars. Someone loves to hear there own voice.
A 10 min. video, With 45 seconds of playing. What a let down.
Somebody needs to take a few less 'hits'........i'm guessing coke
Speak up or play !!
