First off I don't play or follow Super Coach I have no interest in it so watching the Dolphins section of this preview was rather interesting to say the least. Normally I pay no attention to podcasts due to their negativity and lack of insight towards the Dolphins. It's the second podcast I've listened too where there hasn't been Woolf is the coach they will win the spoon in fact this podcast was so supportive of Woolf that you all must have Tongan blood hahahaha. I watch a lot of the training snips the club and players post up on their stories to find some clues for the positions. They're very much hiding what happens on the left hand side which suggests to me that Bostock is in for a change of positions with the wing spot going to Tupou or Feagai, a lot of footage has Herbie on the righ and even more telling is the footage of Averillo in a spine role. You discuss the prop roles at Dolphins and you're right the players will be tuning out on average 40mins maybe even less if they carry the third option on the bench with the second rowers going through 80 and JMK will be around 70. What you said about the props maybe provides a few pieces to puzzle of Averillo at 5/8 as he's a bigger option there than Nikorima but as a centre he doesn't do tough carries with any effectiveness whereas Tupou, Herbie, Bostock and Isaako will. Hammer is a rolls royce fullback he produces the big plays, the freakish moments but not a draught horse or worker so the 2-5 will carry a lot of the load in metres. As for Plath and Gilbert I had a look at Plath's minutes stats before he went to 9 he wasn't playing 80 and I can see this year Plath playing 60-65mins per game but being first interchange used and Gilbert being eased into the season only playing the start and end of games to begin with. Dolphins at this stage of 27 players available for round 1 - none of the development players are realistic NRL shots and neither is Waga who's in the 27 they're all project players. I see it going this way: 1 Hammer 2 Iassko 3 Herbie 4 Bostock 5 Tupou 6 Averillo 7 Katoa 8 Saifiti 9 JMK 10 Kaufusi 11 Fini 12 Lemuelu 13 Gilbert 14 Plath 15 Nicholls 16 Keeley 17 one of Bromwich, Kerr or Stone depending on the style of game and form of the player 18 Donoghue (utility) Others: Outside Backs - Feagai (C/W), Walsh (C, SR) Props - Waqa Hooker - Graham Back Rowers - Teague Halves - O'Sullivan, Nikorima The projections are Flegler will return during 2025 his management did post on IG about it and Fuller is coming along well. No one has the courage to say it out loud except for me Dolphins, Souths and Bennett will all benefit from Bennett being at Souths. Last year Bennett's heart wasn't with the Dolphins and it was telling in their end of season slide, the lack of fitness within the squad and the regression of a lot of players. As part of NRL entry requirements for the extra Brisbane based side they all had to put forward Bennett as the coach which Dolphins done so but they were more preferring a long-term option which they now have. Dolphins and Bennett made it work, respected each other and left each other on very good terms. Bennett's role at the Dolphins was much different to his roles at Saints, Newcastle, Brisbane 2.0 and Souths where at those clubs he had to get instant results with little thought put into what is next whereas at Dolphins his role was to help get them off the ground and be competitive with a long-term approach for his lasting legacy. Of the 34 players contracted to NRL or Development only 4 players have original contracts in place being Kaufusi, Bromwich, O'Sullivan and Graham all contracted until the end of 2025 the rest have been signed or re-signed by Woolf. There's no contract nasties or players walking out to follow Bennett aside from Aitken and we can all see this as part of a Dolphins age regeneration. Thanks for giving them a fair go as not many do.

@@leagueofinches there's so many podcasts out there and it's virtually impossible on two fronts for Dolphins. Firstly there's no podcast by their fans like every other club has unofficial fan podcasts and secondly the general league podcasts it's so very uneducated, ill-informed and agenda driven against the Dolphins. So any looking to spend an extra minute or two on the Dolphins will get a bit of a plug as they don't have the dedicated fan podcast. It's easy to say "Dolphins will suffer the Bennett curse" it's a simpleton view. They may do worse this year but it won't be due to the coach it will be due to so many factors that faces all clubs - injuries, bunker calls, 6 again calls and how the opposition plays on the day. Bulldogs lose Kurt Mann for the last 3 games lose all 3, they miss Matt Burton for a game they lose 44-6, but otherwise Bulldogs have a great run last year with injuries, referee decisions so many times we got Badger & Gee involved in our games both support us openly, we got clubs on off days and we caught teams on the hop with our attention to fitness and training. Dolphins do have a good social media department except they don't post on RUclips so you get a lot of training snips and they gave a detailed article about the development, train & trial, QCup affiliate and transition players. The only issue is one site has the wrong position and DOB for Elijah Rasmussen and refuses to correct it. He's a prop and only 19 played Meninga Cup last year.
@BulldogDynasty now that's a good shout out. Very real possibility. Target and lock in. Really appreciate your comments and questions. Your analysis is fantastic. Well done mate. Hope you can get into all the other channels and keep the discussion going. Thank you!
Tigers to get a 4th spoon or go close. (Im a Tigers fan) Im loving the talk from the boys, but ive heard all that before, expect Benjis head to be on the block by rd8. I really hope im wrong ☺️
@leagueofinches Still got no pack mate. May better have some strong legs because he's gonna be carrying the team. Luai won't be getting it served up on a platter, to pick his moments. Got ??? On Bulla as a FB, I think he's a winger and I know that's probably an unpopular opinion but he doesn't put himself in good positions in attack, runs his outside players out of room a lot and gets forced to surrender in tackles, kills our attack imo. But he's seems to be a favourite because he's got "potential"
@crazyprayingmantis5596 no pack! You got Big Klem!! I do think you underselling Luia though. I wasn't a fan but the way he played last World Cup, and in origin and fir Penrith when no Cleary, he has proved me wrong. Was just as good as Cleary growing up, according to everybody who watched them. Korisau with Luia is a huge plus, but yeah I'm tipping improvement and top 15 for the Tigers.
Luai is an absolute winner but they really lack anything outside of top 13. A lot of top 17's have Seafarth and Twal in them which is scary and there's a chance Klemmer will intentionally be used for less than 14 games to trigger them to remove him from the club a good long term decision but will have short term issues.
TRAV, how can you be soo High for Howarth @426k NO DUAL, yet bring the hammer down on Doueihi DUAL, @431, BECAUSE OF THE AWKWARD PRICE ????? Please make it all make sense
@robc5520 very valid points and totally understand what you're saying. However, ctw/5/8 duel does not do much for me. Add Douehi's injury history and then if and where he even plays at this time, with limited news, preseason and eyes on him for the eye test I'm not interested at all. There is no doubt he has talent. But early Jan not for me now especially at that price in 5/8 when there are some solid option at sameish prices. Howarth however I'm extremely high on. That price and priced on an average that incorporates 3 low minute games, a full preseason at CTW on that edge yes please!!!!! Trav
@@leagueofinches Well spoken Trav! You covered it all precisely! I think with the kicking role, Luai inside him and a spot in the CTW, Doueihi could be a real challenger for bounce back player 2025. Cleary, with Vegas game, and loose refereeing and fast game with more ball in play, is must have captain in R1, plus is cheap, and without Luia gets more ball than ever has. I not started with Cleary for 3 years, but not even entertaining the idea of not starting him this year. If Hynes didn't/doesn't have Trindall then you could go Hynes, but otherwise Cleary must have. If Cleary is injured I will start with Fogs, and upgrade to Cleary or Hughes.
@leagueofinches yeah well in Fantasy I am 100% starring him, as you get the kick meters, in SC he is only back up plan if no Cleary, as don't see value in other halves options, though TMM does appeal. Why is nobody talking about TMM? Great figures last year when half, when SJ out.
