Mr.Langer....I'm a huge Ben Shapiro fan and now I'm a big fan of yours. I really enjoyed this interview and I thank you for putting it out there for us to see.
I heard the audio. Thank you Yaakov for not being afraid to engage with *everything* that Ben spoke about. Lesser people would censor parts, and have our youth engage in those discussions in negative forums. By allowing these conversations in Frum settings you're doing a great service.
I live in Australia and don't know Ben.What a great way to find out about him. Very centered and practical answers always from him.Oozes Logic. Thanks Guys great podcast
Baruch HaShem! Wow. Todah rabbah for this episode. It is edifying to hear Ben talk about the Torah and teach us. It is so beautiful to hear about the blessed reality y’all both get to be a part of, from learning Torah, having synagogue and community, even grocery store with kosher food that are at a fair price with genuine customer service, to families and children, to having good friends or mentors or relatives that can give good advice or wise counsel. Todah rabbah for keeping the commandments and covenant and being the light to the world. Laila tov! Elizabeth Pham from Texas.
As a Ben Shapiro fan and fellow Jew watching the show every day, it's nice to see Ben addressing Judaism directly. The show itself caters to the general public so Ben isn't addressing topics of Judaism on it. 🙏 Great conversation.
This was so refreshing to listen to. I did not have a very positive Jewish experience growing up,and it's always healing for me to hear healthy and productive Jews living like true Torah Jews and behaving like a mentch ,and actually living according to Jewish values . Thank you Yaakov and Ben! Keep making a Kiddish Hashem and spreading light ....
You might want to look into Jew in the City's RUclips channel. And also Rabbi Singer. But Jew in the City basically runs an organization for this kind of thing, Jews with bad experiences to find themselves in the community.
You did beautifully, I love what you do I been following you for a while now. Ben’s a type of person who have a lot on his shoulders and he been relaxed as the interview progressed. He’s also a certain type of personality very straightforward. I really learn a lot. It was a great interview. Thank you 🙏🏼 for all the important questions you brought. 🙏🏼🇮🇱🙏🏼
Ben and Yaakov: i think you both can keep charging forward to have families unify and for many people (even singles as I am still) to find community and to advance , in Jewish and other communities. I think that you both offer a lot of refreshing fervor for faith-oriented podcasts this way and please keep it up. and it really makes me optimistic and happy to get this brand of smart podcasting to look forward to and to advance everyday life via these life- dialogues that we can apply to. (makes sense? lemme know, Daniel Joel of Queens)
I only knew of Ben Shapiro from listening to him on Australia’s radio ABC National. He is regularly interviewed by Philip Adam’s on “ Late Night Live”. I’m really enjoying learning more about him in this interview. G-d bless him big time! 🙏🏾 An inspiring human being 🎶🦋🤓
What the secular world doesn't understand is that rules and discipline help you have a better life. While it's fun to do whatever, there's consequences.
The Lubavitcher spoke about being a light unto the nations before Ben was born though it's great that he promotes it of course. I too, and I'm more than old enough to be Ben's mother have been interested in this for a great deal of my life and do what I can to implement it.
Amazing interview. Ben can/should train fellow Jews as representatives to the public to speak their minds. Would love a deep dive into what it takes to combat the anti-traditional/religious values the media holds so dearly to be able to project our message!
If Ben sees this, I would very very strongly urge him to take a peak into Likkutei Sichos of the Lubavitcher Rebbe. Have a Chabad friend recommend a nigleh-style sicha - the Rebbe has a style that dissects a passuk, or a part of Gemara or Mishna, in a way that I feel Ben would dearly enjoy. Very, very thought provoking, intellectual breakdown of the concepts that will have you never see the source the same way again...
I’m always fascinated by the different interviews, that Ben Shapiro is on. This interview was excellent. It was fun listening to it. It was very enlightening in many ways. Questions were great.
I like that Ben is very practical, and fact-based, in the main. Maybe a little too black-and-white on some issues but I agree with him 95% of the time.
Shavuo tov! Excellent podcast, I really enjoyed it. in the interview it was mentioned that Ben Shapiro is the only Orthodox Jew in the public eye. Shmuley boteach I would believe is also in the public eye.
I would respond to Ben's call to be a light unto the nations that there are such people speaking out, namely Rabbi Smith, who is also calling on everyone to teach others about G-d. Also, the fact that other groups are fighting for moral values is not a bad thing, and according to Rav Avigdor Miller we should support them in their work. He also differed with Ben's opinion on antisemitism...
Judith Moore How I enjoyed listening to Ben Shapiro, but I was disappointed as I thought I would learn more about his upbringing, as in where he had lived, any brothers and sisters, and also where his ancestry came from. He certainly is a charming, highly gifted man, one I hold in the highest esteem, and there are few enough men who can hold this prestige. Well done.
His point about people "who know a lot more than I do" could be addressing society at large is really interesting. The world has changed, and we are 'all in the same room.' At this moment, many great talmidei chachomim distance themselves from technology for understandable reasons. But this is slowly changing.
The opportunity now exists that didn't exist even a short time ago: Torah personalities can now address and possibly influence the entire world for the good. Rabbi Manis Friedman has realized this, and perhaps soon others will step up as well.
Important video for the world to see. My children learned about this in junior high and then in May went to DC and saw the Holocaust Museum and we have one in Boston. That said I am not sure that this is still going on sadly . I stand with Israel 💯%, and always have . #🟦❤️🙏🇮🇱Never forget
Thank you for this discussion! I would refer to Rav Arush's books as far as Tefilah goes. Obviously these are small sound bites and there is a lot more to say about everything!

Like many here, I am a big fan of Ben Shapiro however Yaakov was really intimidated in speaking with Shapiro and as a result his questions were way too general. I would have asked him 1. What has media and Hollywood done to try to cancel you out? 2. Why is the media and corporations so Left leaning? 3. As a news source, have you missed out by not reporting during a Shabbat and holidays? 4. Tell us how you life has been in danger by reporting against the left? 5. How big is the Daily Wire now? 6. What is the fear of YouTude canceling you out?
Shalom Shalom. I would really like to hear about a topic about the Lebanese Christians and the Israeli Jews; they don't seem to have a good relationship; however there are so many commonalities; I think it is more politics than religion; as to why these two groups do not get along. I have a Lebanese Christian friend who has enlightened me into their conflict with Israeli Jews; it is sad to see these two groups of people not getting along.
31:49 ❤❤ when Ben calls out the yiddin more knowledgeable than him for staying silent. Yaakov if your bringing the fire on to the show we can’t expect anything less than brutal honesty. Loved every minute of this episode thank you so much.

Re: Ben's issues with understanding Yom Tov Sheni Shel Galuyos. I think it helps to think back to Yom Tov Rishon itself. As the Gemara explains, we say in Kiddush and davening "Mekadesh Yisroel VeHazmanim" because Hashem gave Klal Yisroel the amazing power to decide when to set Yom Tov, based on our decision as to when to declare the new month. If the Sanhedrin declares Monday as Rosh Chodesh, Pesach will begin on Monday, whereas if the Sanhedrin declares Tuesday to be Rosh Chodesh, Pesach will begin on Tuesday, and we will eat chometz on Monday. Thus, Hashem makes Yisroel holy by filling our souls with holiness, and we then make the Yomim Tovim holy by deciding what day the new month begins, and hence what day shall be Yom Tov. This means that we determine on what day Hashem will judge the entire world. Similarly, since Klal Yisroel made the second day of Yom Tov holy in Chutz la'Aretz for hundreds of years, it attained a permanent holiness, and Hashem literally treats those days as Yom Tov, even though their initial reason for making it holy no longer applies. This is confirmed by an amazing letter written over 450 years ago by Rav Shlomo Alkabetz, an esteemed member of Rav Yosef Karo's group of saintly Mekubalim in Tzfat (it is published in the Shelah), in which he describes an astounding event during the first night of Shavuos, when the voice of a malach began to speak from the mouth of the Beis Yosef, praising the incredible level of their studies on that night, and the incomparable enjoyment that Hashem had from it. Overwhelmed by what they heard, they repeated their studies on the second night of Shavuos, adding several members to their group to complete the minyan they lacked on the first night. Once again at precisely 12 midnight, the malach began to speak through Rav Yosef Karo, stating that what they achieved on this night was even greater than what they achieved on the first night. Now, one might think that since, according to our known calendar, this was not "really" the Yom Tov of Shavuos that the Torah speaks about, as evidenced by the fact that Israeli Jews were driving their cars as on any other weeknight, presumably in Heaven it is also viewed as a weeknight. Instead, they had Heavenly confirmation that in actuality Heaven itself was treating it as the holy night of Shavuos, and therefore their sacred Torah study on this night with a minyan had an even greater spiritual impact in Heaven than their study on the first night of Shavuos.
