7:30 - this is pretty common especially with bald tires since tires are expensive, and mechanics will make you sign a waiver that you were told of the issues so they can't be held responsible.
In dry weather bald tires aren't even that much of an issue. It's just if it's cracking or if the road is wet or if it rains it anything then it's really bad.
@SEREN1TY A car is supposed to be safe to drive in all conditions (well, all that you can reasonably expect in the area anyways). How can the mechanic know if she'd only drive when it doesn't rain? If they let her take the car with bald tires and she takes off to the road the next day when it's raining and crashes the car, then they will be the ones held responsible, that is why they didn't want her taking the car
Graham, solution for the sponge: I compromise on the sponge by cutting it half with scissors before the first use. Then, I don't feel as bad about throwing it away at a semi-reasonable time to the average person. You can also microwave the sponge in water for a few minutes to sterilize, which is recommended to be done weekly.
I love your comment about bald tires - I live cheap but do not go bald on the tires as they are the most important safety feature of a car. By the way, its super easy to tell if your tires have enough tread or not. The tire store near me even has a giant chart telling you how to tell if your tires need to be replaced. Its on the conservative side but that fine. My wife keeps throwing away our sponges too early too! :)
Same I'm in Alaska and I never use the heat but my washer freezes some time so I need to turn it on for that and recently my girl has been complaining so I have been using it now😂 but its over100! Way to high, it's a monopoly up here
Just a tip regarding your sponge situation, I buy silicone sponges, super cheap, they don’t harbor bacteria and you never have to replace them. I’ve had the same one over a year, just boil it now and again. Foams the dish soap better too, so you waste less of that as well.
So in Oregon the rule of thumb is if you have 1-2 bald tires that can refuse to touch your car if you don't agree to replace them. If you have 3-4 bald tires they can report you for unsafe driving if you don't replace them that day. If you can't afford a new set usually they'll recommend a tire place where you can get at least half tread tires then they'll do whatever work needs to be done. That's been the case for me at least.

Anne Beaubrun The United States lol. It’s rude be sarcastic. But it could also be funny. It just depends on how you use and say your words.

I love how Graham thinks he's so cheap, but all the "cheapskate" things he does are so normal and literally everyone does them 😂
Thomas Rascon ueah but nothing everyone is a millionaire like him
Nah not everyone is as cheap as him
He is saying he is cheap as a millionare. as in he is spending money cheaply compared to his wealth.
@@copbabycombo1311 yeah bro, I understand that 😂 but he acts like the stuff he does is so unusual. He claimed that using grocery bags as trash bags is "odd". He acts like there are no millionaires who make there own coffee. Noway because the shop is not fixing the car. It is just a diagnostic
@@bcuriel2010 the liability form is mostly just to have wrtten acknowledgment that the mechanic said the vehicle was unsafe. That way if something happens because of the issue(s) the driver can't say "well I just had it inspected and they said it was fine/didn't say anything."

Hey, if it makes you feel any better, the human body is 9/10ths bacteria and most dust is actually just human skin cells. ... really? I mean sure, a scam is a scam, but one would assume a mechanical engineer that is specifically trained to keep vehicles safe is plenty of an authority on roadworthiness

Hey Graham. Tell Graham's Girlfriend to keep up with the sponge tossing. I worked in food service for five years, and I'm surprised you haven't gotten sick off those sponges yet.
Joshua Powers does washing them with towels on hot cycle with bleach a few times a week kill the germs? That’s what I do to prolong my sponge use.
@@Sunpea That definitely prolongs use while keeping it clean. You can also soak your sponge in distilled white vinegar to keep bacteria at bay.
Zap sponges in microwave. That will kill bacteria too if you get it hot enough.
Jon Funanich not sure I trust the microwave method. I’ve been told that before but the sponge still stinks after so I figured washing them is a safe bet.
Just buy some new sponges you cheap bastards.
Y'all about the sponge - just get a reusable silicone sponge! Doesn't store bacteria, better for the environment, it's cheap and you can use it for years.

Lmao she’s driving a mustang and using it to travel what I assume to be a lot of miles since she drives between California and Nevada, so she would likely save more money by just selling the car and buying a cheap civic because of the maintenance and the fuel economy
This lady may not be nearby, but she NEEDS to be on the show! And her ex-husband too!
He'd have to fly her out for free
Dakota Sanchez he could do it over FaceTime or Skype or whatever

So when a millionaire gives company for free flight, she is no longer a gold digger, she is now just cheap.
She looks like she gives good head.
It is possible. She just knows what she wants and takes it - as long as you target the right person they will give you anything you want

Steven Scardina He was being funny because designer is typically used for luxurious fashion brands, not for coffee. Like Starbucks is brand, not “designer” but I believe he was just restating his opinion of overpriced coffee.
Save even more money by never using sponges. They basically are only one-time use. After that, you're just inviting bacteria to cover your sink.
Washclothes are far more sanitary, and you never have to throw them away. Just throw them in the laundry with your towels. You can get like 24 for < $10.

A mechanic cant hold your car because its "unsafe", they can, however, make you to sign a contract that basically states that they are not responsible for any damages if you may cause in an accident.

@@exantiuse497 clearly you did not read my comment. I'm not saying it's safe in all conditions. SMH.

This show is very old, but I hope they make some new seasons.

Cold showers are good for you!!! Best way to start the morning.
Same I'm in Alaska and I never use the heat but my washer freezes some time so I need to turn it on for that and recently my girl has been complaining so I have been using it now😂 but its over100! Way to high, it's a monopoly up here
8:04 MABYE because they have been working on cars thei whole lives
kullirrassaaja22 that's not possible
4:16 🤦♀️Her dishes aren’t even sanitized at that point
I honestly though that Graham would be talking about himself lol
Jk you know I love your videos Graham.😉
