    Still don't know where to go. The video starts half way through the process.

      @ C. Thomas, The video begins with an open appointment. Just double-click on any appointment in your Microsoft Outlook calendar, or create a new appointment by clicking the New Appointment or New Meeting (which includes the fields to invite attendees) on the ribbon.

    Thank you, Dawn, for your assistance. I have a question: I have a situation where one user is set up as a delegate for another user's account to send as, and both are using Outlook for O365. When the delegated user tries to send a calendar invitation from Outlook using the Teams option on behalf of the other account, the "From" field only displays their own email address, not the other user's. Have you encountered this situation before?

      @mahmoudshoaala I need to test this for you. Will follow up!

    I do not have a "Meeting" tab. Is this a version issue? What version of Outlook is being used?

    • @DawnMonroeTraining
      @DawnMonroeTraining  Год назад

      @mrvincentmontoya Yes, I'm using the Microsoft 365 desktop version in this video, but you may have the "new look" for Outlook, or perhaps are using the Web version of 365.
      I do not see a way to save an individual appointment in that version as an ics file, but you can invite attendees in the New Event window.

    Hi, Thank You for the informations! I have one more question, what if i want to put the invitation.ics in an hyperlink? Because I tried to but people do not have acces to the file (because it is on my computer)! Need your help!

    • @DawnMonroeTraining
      @DawnMonroeTraining  2 года назад +3

      Hi Louise, the file needs to reside in a place that is shareable, so you can get a link to it. That could be a cloud location like OneDrive, Google Drive, Dropbox, etc.

    If you send the meeting by using calendar, can that person opoen an actually accept it? or icalendar dies not allow that ?

    • @DawnMonroeTraining
      @DawnMonroeTraining  Год назад

      @user-ni2cn4se9h If I understand your question correctly, if you invite attendees from your Outlook calendar invite, they will be able to open and accept it on the receiving end. You should be able to see who accepted on your side as the organizer.
      If you saved the meeting as an .ics file, they can open it on the receiving end and add it to their calendar, but you won't see who is planning to attend in that case. I offer this as a convenience to people. They can get all the meeting details, but I'm not sharing their email info with everyone via an Outlook invite where I list all the attendees.
      Hope that helps clarify a bit!

      @@DawnMonroeTraining Thank you so much. The reason why I asked is that the travel agent sent me the flight information with all the gates, check-in online option, etc. and it popped up on my calendar automatically, since this booking details were for the person that I support, ideally, i wanted to forward this information to him, from my calendar to his calendar, and I wanted it to show up on his calendar so that he knows when the flight is, I wanted his calendar to be blocked out throughout the whole trip. When I forwarded details through the ical, he thought it was confusing and it did not automatically show up on his calendar. So I had to add him as an attendee and send it as an invite to him, then he accepted it and it automatically showed up on his calendar, so throughout the whole trip for a week his calendar was color-coded as blue and had all the information in it. I was wondering if there is an easier way to do this? I was recommended to manually add details in his calendar, but then I think he won't be able to check in online because usually, the online check-in option comes from an airline company or travel agent, which is already included as part of the itinerary. Thank you so much for your response! I appreciate it. This is my first EA Job and I am nervous.

    How can you make the invite into a URL?

    • @DawnMonroeTraining
      @DawnMonroeTraining  Год назад

      Hi @Lakisha Washington, you can store the file anywhere that you can share it as a link. So if you store it in OneDrive, SharePoint, Teams, Google Drive, Dropbox, etc, you can get a URL link directly to the file.

    How to send invites as BCC?

    • @DawnMonroeTraining
      @DawnMonroeTraining  2 года назад +1

      @Dward.r If you don't see the BCC line, go to the Options tab in the message window. Click the BCC to add it to your message, then add your people.

    How do i join an ics file type event, do i click a link and get in a video cal or something

    • @DawnMonroeTraining
      @DawnMonroeTraining  Год назад

      When you receive an ics event file, you can open it and save it to your own digital calendar. Depending on the details saved by the originator of that file, you may see virtual meeting link details included. That's how I like to do it, but not everyone does!
