What makes Ron White funny is his delivery. He's a story teller and entertaining.
“We lost an engine!”
“What?! How far can we fly on only one engine?”
“…All the way to the scene of the crash..Probably beat the paramedics by 20 minutes” -Ron White.
“I don’t want to be drunk in pub-lic. I want to be drunk in a bar.” ~ Ron White
@@helensarkisian7491 “They THREW me into pub-ic. Arrest them.”
I love that one!
"Which is convenient, cause that's where we're heading"
This is probably one of my favorite bits by Ron.
Just to clarify the early part around 40 seconds in, yes all comedians do this (except for Earthquake, supposedly). What you see televised or in a special by any comedian, Chapelle etc., they've done TONS of times to smaller audiences to get the right feel for the joke and work out kinks with it. It starts as an idea and they fine-tune it by practicing it on stage again and again.
Exactly this. In stand up comedy ... for the most part is creating a premise and turning it into a joke.. then testing if it's funny, then mastering the delivery of that joke. Also there are others who are great at improv.
An easy analogy is with Rapping/Hip Hop.
A rapper who writes and takes the time to work out the kinks before the final song is the stand up comedian.
an improve rapper/free stylist is the improv comic.
Both of them are rappers/comics.. there's just a difference on their approach to the art.
Oh for sure. They test on the road and refine before doing their specials.
Yeah like everyone lol carlin was the first to even recycle new material every couple of years lol
Yup. They use the smaller venues to work on their material. Time punchlines, test new jokes, etc. When it’s time to film for Netflix, they’ve got all the kinks worked out and could put out a nice set.
The problem is, the unspoken rule these days is that once you commit your act to a recorded special, that act is dead and it's time to start working on new material. George Carlin really started that and most everyone has followed suit. The worst shows I've seen are the ones where a large portion of the crowd has already heard the jokes before. That's what they were saying they thought Ron White had done, toured with an act people had already seen before.
I love me some Ron White. He’s slick with it.
I'd love to see ya'll react to Ron White "getting thrown out of a bar" ... that is one of my favorite bits that he does..
Much love
They put him in Public!
They call me "tater tot"
@@walker1812 Tater Salad
Right!!
"I don't think so, Scooter!"
It’s true.. most comedians travel with one hour of material. It’s like an artist, rapper, singer, etc.. they’ll do a certain list of songs over and over from state to state. Then some comedians will have their “special” towards the end of the tour when their hour of material is perfected.
Yeah, it's the opposite of how music works lol One has practiced the material on the crowd then does their special and the other puts out an album then tours
@@510tuber you’re taking what I said out of context so you can try to seem right. Both tour with the same material and do it over and over do they not? Comedians will tour with a “new” hour over and over. Literally almost no difference lol.
@@510tuber bands play new music to crowds all the time.
@@Justin-bo5pgnot usually on a world tour. If they are playing small venues then sure. But Taylor swift for example isn’t changing up the set list for each city. When big comedians tour, that is their set. It’s their act of course it’s going to be the same.
@miekaash6831 Taylor Swift's Eras tours is a specific tour where she's playing and singing her prior albums. It's advertised as a greatest hits tour. When you get to that tier. Metallica, Swift, The Stones, KISS, Alice Cooper the legacy bands they play greatest hits but usually bands play in support of an upcoming or recently released album.
Y’all have to check out Ron’s “ I got thrown out of a bar”. That’s just a start. Probably his most iconic bit.
Tater Salad!
I came here to say the same thing. :)
They caught 'The Tater." 😁
Jeff Foxworthy made Ron White big along with Larry the Cable Guy..Blue-Collar Comedy Tour..Best comedian hands down was Ralphie May
A comedian tour is basically the same jokes and the special is typically at the end because you don’t want to watch the special and hear the same jokes in person. The jokes at the end are typically fine tuned so the special is at the jokes funniest moments.
Ron White has great delivery, check out "Ron White - Alcohol , Swimming Pool Related Incident".
I'm old school when it comes to comedy. My top 3 favorites Robin Williams, Richard Pryor, George Carlin.
Hell yeah
Goats
Ron white funny asf 😂
That is Ron off his game. He use to funny AF ruclips.net/video/neUaSTSKFZc/видео.html
Definitely need to watch his "Tater Salad" joke, that is his his most famous one
Not really. Very very blue collar comedy. Funny but far from funny as fuck.
@@viking_nor better than white collar jokes.
@@viking_nor hes near the top. Gtfo
I would love to see you react to comedians Jeff Foxworthy, Bill Engvall, Larry the Cable Guy, and Ron White when they are on stage together.
'Blue Collar Comedy Tour'
Git er done!
@@brandonbrown821 why not
I did at the Fox in Atlanta 100 years ago
Love you guys. Keep being exactly who you are. Hugs to each of you.
Ron White is hilarious …. You gotta do his Dr. Phil Story and I Got thrown out of a bar .
You guys need to see anything by Ralphie May (RIP). He was absolutely hilarious!
Give Ron white a chance again man
he truly is a beast
When Ron’s first big CD came out, my mom bought it and we listened to him on a road trip. Funny man and yes, he did this act all over because it was his current act that everyone wanted
0:49 yes, comics will do the same jokes on tour as a run up and prep for shooting a special.
If you’re going to invest the kind of resources on shooting an hour-long special, you’ve got to hone your craft, and that means working on your material.
Some comics will dump their material from memory after shooting that special to work on some new material.
A lot goes into this business which is why I respect it.
I wanted to write all this. They really are like musicians, most write a solid set then tour with it.
@@felixfungle-bung4688 oh yeah, even if it’s a late nite tv interview here, or a 15 minute set at a comedy club there - they’re always working on it, very much like a musician.
Yep, although different comedians have slightly different approaches. If anyone gets a chance, watch the discussion called "Talking Funny" with Jerry Seinfeld, Ricky Gervais, Chris Rock, and Louis C.K. It's really entertaining, and they debate this very topic.
Ron is universally known as a all timer and that's including fact he was stone cold trashed the entire 25 years til a couple years ago...and sober he might be better
Love yalls reactions! Yall are just so wholesome and funny. Love the country music reactions more than anything!
You guys need to watch Blue Collar Comedy Tour and Blue Collar Comedy Tour Rides Again (if you like the first movie). They are hilarious!
More Ron White & Jo Joy is hilarious. Love watching and laughing along with you.
Jo Koy is so funny!
Great Vid. You might wanna check out Ron White's "The Dr. Phil Story". Its a great one. Respect from McCurtain County, OK
Hell yea! Ron’s stories, for the most part, are his real life stories. And the fans expect to hear them. That’s why he tells them.
Y'all gotta do more Ron. He's a top 5 if you add up all his stuff.
Ron white is the goat. One of my favs. His personality is hilarious and yes all comedians do that lol.
Man this dude brings back memories of the good ol days.
Yo Ron white is goated and highly respected by all comedians. As far as telling the same jokes on tour that is what all comedians do.
The process tends to be them going to their local clubs and playing around slowly crafting their new act, once they feel confident enough with their new material they go on tour and tighten their act up along the way, then by the end of their tour they shoot the special and then drop all of it and start all over
There are exceptions like Andrew Schultz who did an entire tour doing crowdwork, no premade jokes.
@@MrProthall he’s the only comedian I can think of that is able to do that
The look on all of your faces . Priceless
Ron is a legendary comic, always has a cigar and a drink with him on stage dressed classy telling adult shit
You guys all such handsome young men.
You gotta watch more of the special. Ron likes to make references to previous jokes, like the “Watch out for those ears” was a joke from earlier in the special. Some context would probably help make it funnier.
I grew up watching this man, and I forgot how good he is.
for a while my favorite comics were Black/White: Lewis Black and Ron White. Recommend some early L Black.
He gets better as the night goes on the Scotch gets low.
His story about his adventure with Dr. Phil is great.
Enjoy your reactions.
But if you guys truly believe that the truly exceptional Comedians such as Burr and Chapelle hasn't told the same joke hundreds of times at different and mostly unrecorded Shows... You're High.
Carry on.
Chappelle had a crowd cursing him out asking for their money back when trying new material. The only guy I know that always had new shit was Norm Mcdonald 💯
I love his kind of comedy. Dry & quick witted! 💥🎯
Thrown out the bar is a master piece of work guys. Ron is the only guy that brings a 5th of Scotch on stage with them.
He is a recovering alcoholic. He couldn't stop drinking. See Joe Rogan podcast with Ron He talks about getting sober. He had tried to stop and couldn't. It's a interesting story.
@Clint Rench yeah the iowaska he was talking about seemed to really change him for the better
They threw him into the public! 🤣
I think because everybody loves the blue collar comedy skits it's kinda like one real dope album that all the songs are bangers but suddenly someone switches up the order of the songs and suddenly something doesn't feel right like the beat and lyrics are on point but by switching it it for lack of better terms "triggers" the out of place thing in your brain you're expecting to be led to this song and you get all hyped up and then you realize its different... not sure if this makes sense but I think that's how it is for some of the most die hard fans of Ron white
Comedians tour using their material throughout the entire tour. Some changes based on the city but the tv special is the material from their tours. So if you went to their show during the tour and then saw the special then yes it is the same material.
Ok, it is really funny to see younger folks totally miss jokes. Some of those ringers went right over y'alls head.
Nobody is on Tigers level when it comes to golfing . The legend 🙌🏻
Kings of Comedy was hilarious! Bernie Mack was the man! Honestly, I love them all. They make me laugh. They do thier job of taking our minds off of our problems
May he rest in peace
Ron is a wonderful rabbit hole to go down. And, most comedians have a set that they do on each tour.... they do it for a reason. Richard Pryor is a great comedian to react to.
watch more ron white he is hilarious!
Jeff roxworthy , Ron White , Bill Engels , and Git-R-Dun … Larry the Cable guy all do a show together that’s a blast // old school humor - vegasstyle
Mitch Hedberg. Anything you can find by him. He used to be hilarious.
He still is, but he used to too.
"there's six ducks outside...and they all want sunchips!"
Rom White on Blue Collar Comedy tour was awesome!
John Pinette was awesome.
John Pinette
Steve Martin
Bill Cosby
Eddie Murphy
All of them from back in the 80's or before, though.
So many smiles finding this channel!!! You guys are awesome!!!
loads of African love to the Cartiers.......from the land of the gods must be crazy.......kalahari desert xxxx
I'd check out some of Ron's older stuff it's pretty good
Saw Ron White in November one of his last shows before he retired. I can really recommend his Tater Salad bit. Also called I Was Thrown Out of a Bar. Really good!
Ralphie May is legend. Rest in peace
Y’all definitely need to react to more of Ron white and gotta check out the blue comedy tour group!
Carlin is the GOAT white comedian, hands down
Stand up comedians will usually build a set (a bunch of jokes) by working smaller clubs for a while. Once they get a refined set, usually at least an hour in length, they'll do a tour with it and perform that same set around the country. Bigger comedians will also film a special at some point during the tour. Once the tour is finished and the special is filmed, they'll retire the set and work on new material. It's very common for a comedian to tell he same jokes all around the country. That's just how stand up works. Bad comedians hold on to the same set for too long, other do as described above.
I heard Michael Jackson used to sing Billie Jean at every show. Even the Awards show. Can you believe that? 😂
Guy with the gold chain knows everything. Adidas has the jokes. Nightmare is the neighbor you hope you get. White shirt is the guy you can go 15 years without seeing and still be best friends.
All comedians constantly work on refining their sets, so if you see a comedian perform two nights in a row at two different cities, you're probably going to hear about 85% of the same jokes...possibly worded slightly differently.
Think of it like this. Compare them to musicians. When fans go to see them perform live, the band or singer will perform their best songs for the people in Chicago just like they did for the people in New York, Atlanta, L.A., etc.
Ron white bit called tater salad is a classic, also check bill envall marijuana story is also hilarious.
THAT DUDE ON THE RIGHT...HE NEEDS TO CHILL OUT AND LAUGH
💥💥💥Stand-up comedians have material and it's called a routine. A stand-up routine and the best analogy is when you go to see somebody in a concert and they play music, they have a set list and they play their songs in a certain order such as an opening song and encore songs and everything in between and they see what the crowd reacts to. Comedians are the same way they have their opening jokes and the things they finish with and everything in between. Sometimes they'll change things up but it's a set list, very rarely do people just go off and tell jokes of whatever happens to come to mind at the moment... I hope that clears it up, it's just a side of the business 💥
Louis CK is the man, I love Burr but Louis gets me a little more 😂🤣👍
That Man in white tee, SO FREAKIN HANDSOME!!! Only reason I watch...like it or not, don't care
Ya'll need to react to Rodney Carrington " Live at the majestic ". Dude is hilarious!
Ron white is the best! Please check out more of his bits
All comedians working on a televised special do their routine on tour and work out the kinks before they film it live
Usually they tour with a set of jokes across the country and then have a special that comes at one of the bigger events, or towards the of the tour.
That’s what comedians do. That’s their “act.” Same jokes, same order, same cities. Do you think they make up new jokes everywhere they go ? Haha
Some comedians thrive of crowd work look at Andrew Shultz
@@toastmasteraj4208 some but even then that’s not the main part of their act
Generally they change out some jokes and they change up the order.
It's life experience comedians can express it through jokes
Look at Bill Byrd you can see him telling the same jokes on The Tonight show and every other show that's a little ridiculous to think they make up a whole bucket new line of s*** every time I think think.
You guys are as entertaining as the videos you show.
Ron has a lot better sets than that one. That was a good one but he has freaking hilarious ones. I gotta give him a strong A on the verge of an A+ not for this video but from other sets I’ve seen
How did they not start with tater salad
Cartier Family..love your show..recently your Frankenstein video was awesome. Can I suggest Whole Lotta Love ..Album version.... led zeppelin
That's what a tour is my guy... you have material.. and you tour with it! All comedians do it! Just like Singers/Bands go on tour.. do you think they sing different songs each place on tour? NO! LOL
What I love about Ron White, is that he is literally that guy at the bar telling you funny stories.
Ralphie May is one you definitely need to react to. IMO he's much funnier than Ron.
Love Love you guys. Pre-show talks are great and your facial expressions crack me up. I think you guys will enjoy watching the group Ten Years After performing their encore song I'm Going Home at Woodstock August 1969.
you guys have so many decades of music you need to get into. Also Jeff Foxworth, Bill Engavell and larry the cable guy
Eh.. out of all the blue collar guys Ron is by far the funniest.. I wouldn't regress. But that's my opinion, n comedy is subjective, I'd assume your a bit more elderly than I and southern by your opinion
Yes I am but good comedy is good comedy.
@@colleen2225 true.. I used to watch the blue collar tour all the time. I just prefer darker comedy now. Stuff that would usually shock and offend a lot of ppl
Have you heard of Bill Burr.
@@colleen2225 lol yes.. I think it would be difficult not to run into Bill on RUclips. I listen to quite a bit of comedy so most ppl I've at least heard of if not heard their material. Bill is great.. but even he is kinda tame compared to Anthony jeselnik, doug stanhope, Louis ck, Jimmy Carr, Jim jefferies
Going to see Ron White this Friday.
If you want to see some funny shit, watch Sebastian Maniscalco.
Please react to Rodney Carrington he is a funny comedian
He's pretty funny!!! Enjoy😎 Cindy from Long Beach, CA😍
Best comedians of all time, Carlin and Pryor, best comedians still around, Burr and Chappelle.
Just wasting the morning away watching you all laugh at shit that cracks me up, thanks.
can u react to greatest by eminem it goes hard
All comedians do that. It’s just like a band after they get their album done, they tour. Comedians workout material then tour it, then after tour if they’re big enough, they tape a special of that set
Well if your doing Ron White you might as well add Jeff Foxworthy, Bill Engvall(?) and Larry the Cable Guy to round out the Redneck Comedy tour. Then there's the classics Ma Mabley, Red Skelton, Bill Cosby, Eddie Murphy, Robin Williams, George Carlon, Richard Pryor. Just to name a few and in no particular order. Kings of Comedy, Queens of Comedy, Latin Kings of Comedy. All great at what they do. Lots of good humor if you stay open minded and understand the true nature of the craft. Thanks for sharing. Looking forward to more content.
Robin Williams was a great standup comedian. One of the best.
We were lucky to see Robin Williams at the Comedy Store one night and he wasn’t on the menu. We had gone there to see Louie Anderson, who was hilarious. Sam Kenison came out and was awful. People got up and left it was so bad. A couple of times he said Robin Williams was there and then he started yelling crazy stuff that wasn’t close to being funny and more people left. We decided to stay and we were so glad we did because suddenly Robin Williams walked out on stage. He was amazing. I don’t think I ever laughed that hard. I felt badly for the people who left but understood why they did. Unfortunately they missed seeing the master at work.
Wait wait a minute. Ron White talking about Tiger Woods just reminded me! Did you react to best of Paul Mooney? RIP to him but the last standup special I seen by him he was talking about the Tiger Woods situation and said the funniest joke about Magic Johnson I ever heard. But pretty much the best of Paul Mooney is all you need. RIP to him again!! LEGENDARY!!! He even wrote for Richard Pryor back in the day
Love this guy he's hilarious but not for everyone....love seeing you guy's laugh...great reaction...
Richard Pryor Live at the Sunset Strip , there is no color, there is only Richard Pryor and his comedy!!!
You guys are so sweat and CUTE. God bless you!!!
That brother eatin from that bag is cool and offers the other brothers some of what he's eating, there all cool.
Rodney Carrington “Live at The Majestic” Part 1. Another good ol’ boy from Texas. Craig Schumacher “The Love Master Cometh”. I don’t recall ever seeing anyone react to Craig Schumacher.
You should watch Ron White on the blue collar comedy tour. That one is one of my favorites.
There are a lot of people who go to see Comics that will be disappointed if they don't hear some of that comedians classic jokes/bits, and Ron White is one of them. Usually a TV special will be taped and aired after a tour is over.
Yall should check out Robin Williams, so underrated stand up. And more of George Carlin, and you gotta know Eddie Murphy and Richard Pryor old school goats
...welcome to what a "set" is...that thing that nearly every single artist has used and travelled with since the beginning of live performance...
Comedy tours are like music tours. They develop a setlist for each tour, and play the same songs every night. They'll have a few that they switch in and out, but it's basically the same set each night.
Like the one that he got thrown out of the bar in New York. They call me tater tot lol😂
