Looks like it might last longer but a stiffer spring is going to make that trailer bounce even worse when unloaded going down the road
Less metal on metal will create for a smoother ride 😎
About time, Lol. I have never liked the standard slipper spring design. To much friction and wear on the slipper. The hard springs hold up pretty well, but the mating surface does not. As far as the rubber bushing in the center of the equalizer, that has been around a long time. The rubber bumpers on top of the equalizer for frame contact...umm not sure about that, the clearance is already tight. Longer hangers would help but that creates a weak point. Good job!
When does this suspension take effect
It will start the production line at the end of the year! 😁
Will the new deck over tilt trailer have a pop up winch option? And when can we order the new deck over tilt trailer ?
Good question! For the time being, the deck over tilt trailer will not come with the pop up winch option. The newer and improved DET will start production at the end of the year. Please verify with your dealer before placing your order. 😎
Would there be any benefit to independant suspension?
The leaf springs in this suspension system function as shock absorbers - they flex and release when you hit bumps and rougher roads, which provides you with a smoother ride. Each tire has its own set of springs and are much more affordable and easier to repair. 🤓
@@diamondctrailers Shock absorbers and springs are quite a bit different things. Not quite the answer to my question however!
Oh what do these guys know? Kidding...
Can someone upgrade their current leaf spring set up to this new suspension? I have a 2022 fmax 212 30ft gooseneck
It's for 7k or 8k axles. Couldn't you upgrade to hutch for 12 k and be even better off than this slipper spring hybrid
Hey Jacob! There would be some fabrication required for the upgraded slipper roller suspension but it's not available just yet.
Premium and professional and then added lippert? Those two do not go together what so ever
No visuals comparisons = word salad.
