  • It's time for a comparison!
    One of our most popular questions: "What's the difference between the Diamond C and PJ Trailers?"
    Well, there's no easy answer for that! There's so many different features to consider on each model. We put these two trailers side by side to compare differences, and hope that this shows them off, apples to apples!

    If the trailer gets used commercially for hauling equipment the double channel frame where it steps down to one channel close to the axles will eventually wear out and crack the frame at this weak point. The fact the Diamond C comes with commercial tires, cool storage bin and a frame that will never break makes the Diamond C a clear winner.

      That's ridiculous, the engineered beam narrows gradually and this has literally never happened to anyone. Even at the narrow point the frame will last the life of the trailer.

    I used one of these tilt trailers for a couple years and the spare tire mounted on the side of the trailer it's a pain in the butt when you need to chain stuff down. It's always in the way

    Look into Midsota Trailers. I have a 14000# 24’ utility with hydraulic tilt. It has tool box, pallet fork storage on the side. I paid $8500 two years ago. It’s a full tube frame trailer.

    Many full-size skid steers would be rubbing defenders on the diamond c, or worse, ripping up tracks on that plate part of the fender.

    How do you use the winch with a split deck? Say I want to winch up a broken down skid steer? Won’t the split get in the way of the winch cable?

      @HappyTrailerSales  2 месяца назад

      @@jeffg3895 the winch cable will just go up and over the tilt portion of the deck, and it works just fine! There's also a winch cable roller that's available. It would mount to the top of the tilt portion and allow the cable to glide across the roller instead of the steel edge.

    Will these haul 20Ft shipping containers?

    • @HappyTrailerSales

      @@mike9672 for shipping containers, you would need a Deckover trailer. These fenders would get in your way! Both PJ and Diamond C make Deckover tilt trailers as well.

    That was good and helpful. I was pulling Diamond C... until the cost. 2K extra capacity is nice, but $3K extra is a bit steep as the best thing about it is the tongue box and the worst the lack of complete rub rail.
