Hi.. I love this short row technique.. I just finished this. I want to try this in honeycomb stitch . Q: Can we use this short row tech for honeycomb stitch, if so what will be the stitch count? Thank you😊
You could try it and see how it works. Same stitch counts, but you might want to check height gauge and see if you need to add or skip a section to get the circumference.
@@YarnAndy Hi.. I tried working it out. The brim and main part are working fine. While reaching short rows where we need to pick up stitch one row below, after completing 4 rows, there honeycomb is not forming, coz knit stitch goes with knit and vice verse(while working in the sequence). I hope you understand what I’m trying to saying 😊. I need help. Thanks.
Hm, the crown cannot look like continuous honeycomb with this kind of construction, even if you do use the same stitches. I wasn't sure what exactly you were asking the first time. Each wedge will have the honeycomb look, but when you add the next wedge there will be a disconnect between the wedges, since you will be working over stitches from 4 different alternating rows.
Hi Mimi, I have separate videos for the two stitches used (in the honeycomb video you have both) and they are really the most basic two stitches that you learn as a beginner. I could not call this intermediate because it's just four rows of basic stitches. You also have written instructions free on the blog and closed captions if you use the speed settings on the video. How else should I make this kind of tutorial more beginner-friendly?
Hey Brandy. Which part is not clear? The previous commenter never answered what I could do to make this tutorial easier to follow. I don't know what more to do. I'll link tutorials for the foundation row, the simple and purl stitch, the video about forward pass short rows, if you need to go more in depth with those. Did you follow along with the video and your project didn't come out right? Is it an issue with the instructions or the execution?
Please use the speed settings to set the speed to your liking, then turn on CC for the spoken instructions. There are written instructions too on my blog. If you follow along with the video only, you should pause after every row and make it.
This video shows you the actual pattern to make the beanie, so I sped up the repetitive parts. If you need to learn the foundation row, Tunisian simple stitches, and Tunisian purl stitches, there are separate tutorials here on the channel that show each in detail, much slower and with explanations.
Yay. Just finished one. Super fun. Thank you!!!
That's awesome!
Thank you. This hat is so quick and easy to make. 👏😊💕
Thank you!
Making it a year after you posted. Loving your style of teaching. ❤
Thank you ❤️
I just love your tutorials! Wonderful project 👍🏼
Thanks! ♥️

@@YarnAndy Oh, got it. Thank you so much for your response 👍
Wow! So cool
Thanks and enjoy!
Unfortunately the lack of clear visual instructions does not make this beginner friendly. Not everyone knows the stitches that is being used.

I'm glad someone else was thinking the same thing as me because to me it's not totally clear as well.

Why you do it so fast, I like the hat but you do it so fast that I can’t do it👀😧🥺!!!!

Tutorial too fast😢
Please use the speed settings on the video and turn on closed captions for instructions.
@@YarnAndy even at the lowest speed its difficult to see
