Yes rabbits was emotionally too hard for the kids and they didn’t handle the heat well but this breed of duck is also quiet and we just probably won’t mention to the kids it’s duck until they’re older. We’ll just have the grow outs go to their new homes every so often. Emotionally I think it’ll be too hard on our oldest right now.

They really do make the best mothers. We never had to hatch one in an incubator and they can hatch A LOT at one time.

I just bought 26 ducklings @ $5 each. Have never raised ducks before. Impressed by how steak like that breast looks.
Did you buy Muscovy ducklings ? They really do taste like steak
Have you considered quail?
lol 😂 my entire channel is about coturnix quail so….yes I raise hundreds of quail at a time and hatch hundreds each week
