I would like to see how 4th fared against him. That's sort of promoting the lame thing dragon ball does now where they waste time in super saiyan before fully powering up, but since gear 4 isn't super saiyan I would've liked to have seen it

@@alinkinthechain He has ultimate free will and is indeed in control of his actions, the Awakened Zoans with no sense of self he is referring to are The Jailer Beasts of Impel down, and probably almost Chopper in his monster form (before the time skip he was pretty close to becoming totally devoid of his personality)

that's probably what keeps a zoan fruit from overtaking the user once awakened, having a similar personality to whatever the fruit is based on. In this case either being a psycopath that enjoys killing because its fun, or a goofy guy that likes freedom

I appreciate the fact that they threw in the "Awakened Zoans lose their personality" line to explain the Jailer Beasts from Impel Down. Which is extra funny because every subsequent awakened Zoan has maintained thier perosanlity except Luffy to extent who becomes an overjoyed goon
