He is certainly partisan but also honest and fair.

    • @TheMonkeygrunt
      @TheMonkeygrunt 28 дней назад +3

@@batmanwins5701 he did challenge his own side from time to time, I will give you that. But honest and fair? No, not at all. For the exact same reason Ben said. Often instead of countering a point that someone makes at him, he straw mans by attempting to make your point hyperbolic and then attacking that. He's not honest, that my whole problem with him. I remember when people would call him out on this, or for blatantly misrepresenring something, he would say sht like "I'm a comedian, your a news anchor...I don't have to be accurate" and that was his excuse. Problem was he was a comedian that took legitimate news stories injected a great deal of sensationlism leaving out all nuance to a situation and then criticising it. He falsely represented stories often only presenting one side, or very narrowly presenting the other. He really was the original archetype that is news media today. So Ben isn't wrong, he is a coward that hid behind comedy so as to not have to justify the claims he was making. Just like news media hides behind being "entertainment" not news, so they can play fast and loose with the truth. They got that play from Stewart.

What, specifically, do MAGA believers think makes Trump the right person to lead our nation as the Commander-In-Chief with his enormous ego, his self-reported need to get revenge on his enemies, and the power to start a nuclear war at his fingertips?
The main things Harris has going for her (in no particular order) are:
▪︎ Her personality. She's a humble & genuine person. She's sweet, well-spoken, & likable. She doesn't hurl childish insults on X towards anyone who disagrees with her. That's a sign of her _maturity._
▪︎ Kamala has a spotless criminal record! Furthermore, she was an elected Attorney General, an elected District Attorney, and a courtroom prosecutor (rather than a convicted Felon, con artist, & seggsual offender like Trump).
▪︎ Kamala wasn't born with a silver spoon in her mouth and is not completely out of touch with the average American.
▪︎ She actively and _genuinely_ advocates for causes that are important to her & to myself, including democracy, equality, human rights, economic stability for the Middle class, & autonomous freedom from government interference in the individual medical decisions of the American people.
▪︎ Last, but not least, Kamala has never said she wanted to override the Constitution, become a dictator on her 1st day as President, or claim that if she's elected, we'd _never have to vote again_ (like Trump did)!
Genuine question: How do you feel about our Federal government spending millions of tax dollars to acquire & staff a bunch of baby kennels for use while abducting kids from their refugee & migrant parents & then keeping them in cages for months? Or what about wasting billions of tax dollars on an unfinished border "wall?"
Are you okay with constant, shameless, and manipulative dishonesty? Or the covert misappropriation of campaign funds that were illegally diverted as hush money for a side chick? Are you in favor of sadism, name-calling, seggsual @ssault, or homeowners being forced to sell their homes & their land to make room for a golf course or a limousine parking garage?
How do you feel about the repealing of the Endangered Species Act, which the Donald got rid of so that big corporations could destroy the environmental habitats of endangered species without any pesky limitations to hinder their Q4 earnings?
If you're down with all that, Trump's ur guy! 👌🏼 That doesn't bode well for our future, however.

Americans need to worry less about “defending” the politicians and/or rich celebrity cheerleaders of their chosen political party and focus more on holding all politicians, no matter the party, accountable. If you can’t quickly answer how you’ve personally benefited or provide tangible ways you are better off by having the politician you voted for in office, then why is there so much fervor, passion and unconditional support for your candidate, and so much hatred for the opponent and the opponents supporters? I bet everyone can remember a time in their life when they used to use that time to focus on a hobby, family, friends, project or something that provided immediate benefits instead of some person they don’t even know.

I live in Texas, I have seen a great deal of problems grow due to Democrats having power, and while I like to think of myself as an independent, the DNC has not had a defendable idea for the country since LBJ abandoned the war and allowed Nixon to get us out of Vietnam. Economies come and go, and they are always claimed to have grown during Democrat controlled presidents, when what has grown was inflation. Trump had the cost of living reduced, and the border getting under control, both affected me directly. Whenever Clinton, Obama or Biden have ruled, the IRS seems to have problem with my taxes, they do not contact me under republican control. My employment improved under Bush, and under Obama I was released with a bronze parachute. And for notes, before Obama, most illegal workers from Mexico went home after working in the states for a short period, and while there were drugs coming across, and we would get upset by the infusion in to society, it was nothing compared to the newest influx of poison, slavery and violence being imported by a party that wants to see The United States fail.

It's so funny, that Crossfire clip. Stewart doesn't give one reason why Crossfire should exist, he doesn't weigh in on any issue, and he doesn't offer any solutions to any problems. He just sits there making faces like the fool he is.

This is a 100% accurate take on so many “comedians “. Their “shtick” of being really intelligent and clever and witty, always falls back to a clown act when they are challenged by someone who is more in the know.
