Since this video is quite popular atm - this was Starlet's first performance in a small supportive venue with lots of her friends and people who love drag. It was fun, she looked UNREAL and all in all we all had a great time watching her do her thing. I've seen drag a LOT as you can tell by this channel and it takes a long damn time to hone your skills, find your style and become a truly great performer. Unless you're born with it (Tayce) but those are few. Moral of the story - enjoy the damn video, she is essentially a baby queen in this as far as performances go. Probably still as it's not something she does much. All Drag is valid, hers happens to be more visual than performance based. Should she have gone on RPDR without performing before? Who's to say. She got cast and that's what matters. She will get her chance to get comfy on stage, she's got her whole life ahead of her.
Yes! she is so young, still getting her feel of it all. i love her, shes so kind and i just watched her yearbook vid and she's so cute and down to earth, i hate the editing on drag race, always making up some drama lol 💙💙 and her number here was actually really fun, imagine how intense and dramatic her shows will be here soon!

Violet, Symone and other fashion girls are not high kick bucking queens either, but they exude confidence and command your attention. Once she has that, it’s OVER for the girls.
Violet can do high kicks and splits , she doesn't do the 8 count stuff like Kennedy , Alyssa , etc. She does alot of those aerial performances too which is very difficult and requires alot of flexibility and strength. I think fashion girls who essentially pose for lipsyncs are more of the Max, Nicky Doll, Dahlia Sin types , you are correct about Symone . Starlet is very well realized with her character and aesthetic , just needs more experience as a performer is all!
I don’t think so. Starlet’s simply not that type of drag queen. She’s beautiful and delicate (and goofy). I think it’s not the personality that should change cause she has an amazing personality. Instead, she could refine a performance to herself. I say that because there’s the possibility performing like this isn’t where her persona will shine.

It’s kinda fascinating cus her choreo here is mostly just her “posing for the camera” as it were. which like, yeah that’s her brand as far as I know, and there’s a lot of performance value in that no question. Excited to see her grow!

Absolutely ADORE Starlet on the show. Polished and knew who she wants to portray. She's so so so young, she can take as much time as she needs to sharpen her performances and show herself some more. But still, I only see great things for her and her career from now on
Just a reminder it's okay to be watching someone's growth creatively and not expect Beyoncé level work from the get go. You are allowed to not be a proffesional at every task you do but wanting to better yourself with experience of doing it is magically to watch. Imagine if the world was able to go on their phones and watch you at the beginning... how would you feel.
it's a good performance but this low energy, one setting, kind of performance really wouldn't work well on drag race. any performance challenge would land her in the bottom and any lip sync would send her home.
I see nothing WRONG with how she performs - I dont find it low energy its burlesque and supermodel energy. Raja , Pearl and Rupaul have low energy as they are pose queens. Drag Race is a reality TV show first and a contest second. - so it was not within her storyline to go further. She should just continue what she is doing and being fabulous. I will miss her posing and looks on UK Drag Race - I am hoping the franchise brings her back in some way.
