Monét really solidified herself as one of the best lip syncer in the show's history imo. Even when she loses she always gives a memorable performance. Plus since s10 she lip synced and won to pop, rap, country, rock, jazz and even spoken words like that's truly what I call a lip sync assassin.

i’m not really surprised that these lipsyncs aren’t that good. i mean for regular season winners they literally won by avoiding being in the bottom and having to lipsync during their season. And most of the all stars winners won their season by lipsyncing a lot, so its not a surprise why they slayed most of these lipsyncs.
I mean there are winner who are incredible lip syncers like Jaida and Yvie.
I think it's more to do with the challenges being less dance/performance centric this season. We basically just had comedy and sewing challenges, so it makes sense that the lipsync queens weren't in the top as much
The reason why the lip syncs werent all that good is because there is no real risk. In the regular seasons, you had to turn the lip sync out or you would be sent home. In AS8 there is no risk of elimination so there isnt that same desperateness we get which results in lackluster, boring lip-syncs.

@@optionkjet7840 Also, some queens were probably trying to save stunts or their bests performances for the finale since they are guaranteed to make it. Besides, some probably even threw a few lip syncs just to not put a target on their backs (like Monet said on ep 2).
Lets all agree that the real star of the " better in colour" was actually yvie
and in that outfit too ugh we were so robbed of that (and she could've won that week too)
Yvie basically won every lip sync she wasn't part of. Honestly wish her storyline this season was better and not the way they portrayed her.

Monét slayed!!! Even if she didn’t win all of em, she did so good and on so different songs like she slayed Old McDonald, the spoken world, Supernova AND Swish Swish when it’s 4 complete different genres, Queen👑
The Vivienne doing Dolly was AMAZING, it was one of my favourites of the season. It was so spot on.
Swish swish is my favorite this season. Monet really gave us one of the best lip syncs ever. Even if her part was heavily edited out.
I think Jinkx it’s a great queen, probably among the top 3 of the franchise, but her lipsync skills are so questionable, like I was hopping her Malambo perfomance was something she could replicate with other music genres… I was wrong.
What upset me most about this season was that they used some of the best lip synch songs possible, and almost every single one was underwhelming and similar. No offense to Trinity or Jinkx love them both but I just found every one of their lipsynchs underwhelming and boring to watch.
Jinkx fully gave some of the worst lip sync performances of all time multiple times in one season.

Trinity doesn't have natural talent to the lipsyncs and it isn't something she can easily overcome. Especially as she doesn't prepare any of them but just goes with the vibe.
Calling her lipsyncs bad is overstatement, though. There are some few that are underwhelming and bad - but all the other are mostly ok, to good.
But her skills reached the plateu she can't get past. And that's usually not good enough against the assassins and she can stumble in some of the songs, especially if she picks to be sexy where she should be funny and vice-versa.
We had so many lipsyncs with her that it is easy to see the pattern, which in the long run hurts her even more. But she at least tries to do some new things, grasps at opportunities when she sees them and brings only better clothes to the lipsyncs (if she isn't experimenting like with the old suit, but even that for me is better than just some boring bra and panties).
Trinity in AS7 lipsyncs had a lot of fun. Which for me made her lipsyncs much better. She probably won't win most of them - but she is good to look at and isn't a bad "backup" performer to the other girls. She almost never drag the overall lipsync down.
And with how fierce she is in most of the other categories - I feel like she can be forgiven to not have assassin level skills, similarly how we don't blame other girls to not be OP seamstresses or dancers.
A lot of the lip syncs this season were just okay. Jinkx is amazing and talented but lip syncing is definitely not her forte, although I actually think she slayed Designing Women and Judas (I actually enjoyed her performance in Kings and Queens as well? I feel like that's a really unpopular opinion). But we didn't really get much chance to see Yvie shine lip syncing which she excelled at in season 11 who is argue is the best lip syncer in this cast alongside Monet, who served every single time she performed. Supernova was absolutely the best lip sync of the season I 100% agree, but am I in the minority for thinking Monet absolutely should have won that one?
i’m right behind you, i adore shea and no negativity at all towards her, but when that lip sync ended i thought monet was gonna be named the winner
I think Monet was robbed twice against Shea, but ok. At least it was really close, they are both awesome, I just tend to prefer Monet's approach.
I think what prevents Monet from fully taking it vs. Shea IS those slower moments. Shea is constantly on the move and embracing every beat, and so is Monet! BUT Monet is camera camping vs. stage vamping, as per Shea. And this is coming from a HUGE Monet stan.
I'm sorry but I disagree, SIKE nah I love Jikxn but she ain't a lip sync queen like real queens not all of them LIP sync to these type of songs all the time just some or the majority. Also LOVED her in kings and queen, Judas and maybe even in love in colour I'm sorry but that was when I was like, she doesn't k ow what to do but she is DOING IT.
Also I can't really agree that she is THE lip sync queen, cause there are some moments I wish she would do less stunts and do less of those sexy gestures I don't really k ow what to call it, but some of the things she does in some lip syncs doesn't match the song for me.
Both the opinions might be unpopular but are correct. I really enjoyed Jinkx's performance in Kings and Queens (and Rumor has it fwiw). And Monet totally embodied Kylie in Supernova while Shea was amazing and had a tight choreo while not giving much emotions to me.

Well, for some queens they edited out some bad moments [like for Jinkx] and with others they edited out good moments [like with Shea and Monet (and I also think Yvie and Trinity) in their finale lipsyncs].
It has been revealed that (at least for the last lypsinc of the season) it had to be heavily edited because Jinks bombed it, she didn’t knew the words and couldn’t keep up. Hell multiple queens said that when Nicki’s part came Jinks stopped to watch Monet do it… It might have happened all season, where queens who killed the lypsinc didn’t win it… Leading them to be edited more than usual… Hell I think Ru saying that he took more than just the lypsinc in consideration was added at a later date…
Jinkx vs Monèt is surprisingly underrated

Monet is truly THE MOMENT. But what I'll not tolerate is shady comments and comparisons towards other queens, particularly Jinkx.
They're all winners. And it's a television show run by producers who meddle all. The. Damn. Time. I thought we were at a point where it's common knowledge, but seeing some comments and tweets, apparently not...

Monét is THE ULTIMATE Lip Sync Assassin of the series. Like she just knows how to eat pretty much any kind of song. She emotes, moves on the rhythm and she knows how to camp it up when necessary.

I wasn’t convinced by Monet in the beginning of her season but holy crap she’s become so polished in her lip syncs. I cannot deny she is one of the best lipsyncers in the competition ever!

Nah look i understand that jinks performance in swish swish was bad, but Monet performance alone is the best lip sync of the season, overall of course i wouldn't put it first, but if we see all lip sync as singular performance, i think Monet's lip sync to swish swish is number 1, it's a shame they edited it so much

I don't think I'm the only one disappointed by the Kings and Queens Lip Sync. Come the fuck on. It's Ava Max. Nearly all her songs could have so much power in Lip Syncs and allow for dancing, high energy and have the potential to allow for some of the best Lip Sync Performances. (Look at Jorgeous Vs Orion)
I love Jinxx and Trinity, but giving that song to two queens who'll go for a comedy performance just...no. Just no, it won't be a good performance, it won't be what we could have. Really really hoping they'll re-use the song in one of the main seasons so we can have a legit power performance.

Was so disappointed because kings and queens is one of my favourite songs and I feel like that song was wasted and could of been done very well by other queens.- I do also think trin won that lip sync 😊

They are all amazing and very talented, (they’re winners ofc) but I expected more for the finale lipsyncs c’mon is the last episode, not asking for crazy splits or anything but I expected more stunts and outfit changes idk.
I’m thinking for next all winners. 1 star for challenge win and the lip sync winner gets either another star or the power to steal a star from another queen or just that a queen loses a star or a another queen gets a star. Like spin the wheel with those choices on and any others.
