- Today I am painting a coloring book page, with a little bit of a twist! I used one of my favorite art hacks to be able to transfer the page to something easier to paint on. I had so much fun with this gouache painting :) this is from the Disney Thomas Kinkade coloring book!

Love how the piece turned out!! Wood was the perfect canvas choice. Also, Pinocchio was one of my favorite movies as a kid!
Oh hey checkmark youtuber!

Hi I love ur vids
I like it now better than when I was a child. As a kid I found it incredibly creepy.
Even Pinocchio was made of wood 🪵
This is so cool! I'd love to see you do this again! =D
Same!
Me too!

You're here too :D
Skmsksmsksnks, i learned how to draw more cuz of you :3
Can you do part 2 of your recent vid?

I LOVE the highlights on the tree. It really brings it to life! I’m glad you decided to do this video because you seem so happy and relaxed like you’re in your element in this viddieeeeee! 💕💕
Hi I love all ur videos
Hi, love ur name
Wow are all my fav art RUclipsrs showing up in the comments?!!?! 😁😁😁😁😁😁
I want to challenge Chole to do a painting with no blue or green, just like an opposite color pallete challenge
The gal sure loves her blue! 😂
Sacrilege : )
That would be interesting lol limit her to warm colors
So much blue lol I was like stoppp 😂😂
I would love to see you actually colouring this page (or any other page in the book) with coloured pencils and see the results :)
Or colour in a book literally for kids and see what you do with it. It'll be very interesting
I really love how this whole video she kept saying "wow" and "I really like that" rather than "this sucks" or "I'm not really liking it". Soo much positivity 💙❤
Chloe: Ima shoot a video with these cool lights

Transferring this to the wood first is a genius idea. I love how it turned out!

Chloe: *BLUE*
It's the "Chloe Flare" 16:42

Chloe during the whole video: maybe add a little bit of blue here
I'm cracking up 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
You should try the Miya Himi jelly gouache. It's actually pretty cheap for what you get and it's really fun to use. Plus it doesn't smell that much.
I was going to suggest this! so much paint for the price and it hardly has any of that chemical smell that tube gouache has
Just my input on Himi gouache-- it's personally more difficult to use that my ordinary gouache or poster paint. Perhaps I haven't used it long enough. (only done 2 pieces with it) I find it super difficult to control and get my desired texture or color prob mostly because it stays wet, thicker, more gelatinous, and maybe I'm just not used to it. So there's that.
But it is pretty good for the price for theres also that :DD
Honestly, you did an incredible job and you need to give yourself more credit. The artist self doubt isn't good. Especially when you've worked so hard to get where you are today. You're amazing, take a breath.
I do this a lot still but I've been trying to give myself more credit. I simply say "Yeet!" When I start to doubt myself and my art decisions and just go for it. In the end my art looks better and I tell myself I'm proud of it. It makes a world of difference.
I’ve never seen this transfer method before and am BLOWN AWAY.
Fun fact it works on fabric too! just thought I’d share if anyone is interested in stitching artwork
@@keiaronrenee do you know if it also works on regular canvases?
@@kaidance7313 it does! My art student friends did it for their projects same exact way Chloe did it in the video, with mod podge. Warning though when rubbing off the paper, it’s also possible to rub off the ink with any surface you transfer to, so don’t scrub too hard.
@@keiaronrenee thank you sooo much!!!
OHHHH! The wood and ink transfer trick is so smart and the result actually looks soo good! I'm in love with it!
Can we just appreciate the fact that the bought the wood and the coloring book and make videos for us every week ✨✨

Hahah that intro is hilarious! But omg this turned out incredible, I’m in awe!
When your waiting for Chloes video and you get called for dinner
💧👁💧👄💧👁💧
So let's be honest. Everything that Chloe makes turns out beautiful ❤️
That turned out beautiful, I’d love to see you do more colouring books, I’d also love to see you paint on a mirror, something nice while keeping it a functional mirror, acrylic paint works amazing on mirrors and just seal it with clear spray paint. A Disney mirror would be gorgeous in your art style
The way you transferred the picture to the wood is so cool! Also it looks amazing. I would like to try this some day. ❤️:)
“Let’s paint it on wood”
Me: currently painting on some wood rn👁👄👁
Coincidence? , I think it is.
♥️✨👁️👄👁️✨♥️
This turned out STUNNING!! Those colors are beautiful. Loving the punchy green 💚 Honestly, I think I like your version better just because it's so vibrant. Plus anything painted on wood looks amazing 😂
P.S. love the glasses!!
I will say the same exact things if I have too C's that's how I feel (like I feel the exact same as your comment)
That wooden background looks so cute and omg I’m obsessed
Right? I want to do this now..
I looked it up on wikipedia and the cornflower has its name from growing in cornfields as a wees (as in grains not just corn). When spring comes they always grow next to poppies :)
Holbein brand gouache is amazing (it’s the brand Miyazaki uses for watercolours for his films) and almost all the colours are vegan 💚✨
You are such an awesome artist. I have no artistic talent, so I really enjoy watching you create these “masterpieces”. Whether or not you think you fail, you are brilliant! And your accent is absolutely adorable. As are you! You go, girl!
I just found your channel today (I’ve been bingeing!) and it’s always such a blessing when I see the majority of videos on a channel are captioned! I, and I’m sure many other people, genuinely appreciate it! It helps me to be able to better enjoy more of your videos!
Chloe: I'm going to do my best to give it more of a Chloe Flair
Me: I wonder where she's going to fit a bear?
He's hiding in the forest--you just can't see it from the hilltop =P
I bloody love your humour 😂😂😂
chloe and moriah on the same day? what more do we want in the artsy side of youtube! thank you for inspiring me so much with my channel chloe!
I would love to see this as a series, it looked like you had a lot of fun doing this painting and with the wood it gave it a really nice aesthetic ❣️
That looks brilliant - I love the idea of transferring it to wood, and the transfer technique is ingenious! Lamp black- back in the days of oil lamps, the flame would deposit a greasy black soot on the inside of the glass shade, which needed to be cleaned off every day so that the lamp gave off as much light as possible xx
Yessss! I was just looking for a new Chloe Rose video! Thanks a million!!
Who else agrees Chloe is the best professional artist
I LOVE this whole thing! I would definitely watch more of these videos. I am getting the coloring book right now and I think this will be so fun to practice painting with, and even just work on getting my hands more steady to paint in the lines without the pressure of having to come up with an idea.
Its sooooo good! I’ve really learned from Chloe, and she inspires me every day to get better at art. I also love Disney, and I draw/paint them all the time. It’s so cool to see someone that I look up to and someone that I hope to be like when I’m older!❤️
The thumbnail looks so amazing
Yay! Love your videos Chloe! Your coloring is so pretty!
I love this idea Chloe! I agree coloring in a coloring book makes it so much more relaxing, and we get the best of both worlds seeing you have fun as well as watching you paint. Would love to see you do this again!
Both are so pretty! I kinda like Chloe's more because I like the cartoony look. 😊❤
Chloe you should try the himi gouach (you know those gouaches in the jelly cups that was popular a while back) I got them recently and they’re phenomenal (you can even make a video out of it if you wanted to)
Chole you should definitely make this a series or do a part two! You did amazing !!!!!!!
I totally love your interpretation of this piece. Art is expressive, and you've definitely expressed yourself in this coloring book painting. I would love to see more like this
This is absolutely adorable! I love how vibrant it is!❤️🌈☀️🏔

I love your style especially because you use cool colours mostly. With you style and this colouring page is so pretty 🤩
"... smells like a Doctor's office.." 🤣😂 Howling with laughter!
I really like your colour choices! Some of them looked a bit neon on screen in the beginning - especially the green. But it all turned out so nice. It really matched the aesthetic of Pinocchio.
i'm sure lots of people have said it but seriously for an affordable option, arteza gouache is so good!
This was a lot of fun to watch! I would love to see you do this again, it gives me a lot of good ideas. Thank you Chloe!

This would be a wonderful new series! 😁❤️
I have nothing to say...I just love you and your videos❤️
It’s gorgeous!! Love that you did a daytime version. I’m definitely getting one of these books. I love that the references are right there.
Pinocchio was my all-time favorite Disney movie growing up! I'm so happy you chose that picture, thanks for the video!
I love the major ADHD vibes that chloe paints with. Just jumping around wherever she feels like putting color next. Maybe it's just me but for some reason my brain is like "finish this thing before you can do anything else" and it's really demotivating. Anyways, chloe's an inspiration as always ❤
As an *Art and Craft Gay* I feel the need to say Chloe you look so beautiful in this video with your wavy hair, khaki shirt, watch and hair tie and your glasses. Very natural and soft masc. and the pop of lipstick is gorgeous too.
I would never have thought of doing this! It looks really good. I only use pencils. I’m not an artist but love watching artists colour in adult colouring books because I always learn something.
I absolutely love this, seem like you had so much fun with it as well, with challenges and all, and thats one of the things that makes a good video! Btw, love your channel, so inspirational!

This looks incredible. Your painting process is so interesting. There was a moment early on that I was worried about how it would turn out but you kept going and made it look stunning. I love watching people paint even though it's not a medium I use frequently.
Ask Mira blyer for gauche I know she uses it a lot, and I have never heard her complain :)

You always brighten my day and make me laugh! I really love your content and I can tell how much work and time you put into your videos!
In my eyes coloring books should not have age limts such as adult or children. I feel this way because I am currently 12 years old and I have been coloring in adult coloring books since I was 7 years old, and I have done the worlds most detailed coloring book when I was 10 years old. There for companys shouldn't say coloring book for children or coloring book for adults, any coloring book is for anyone of any age.
Yes, but I do understand why they put an age limit. It's just for the sake of marketing and the specific demographic they're catering to. Anybody can pick up any coloring book, particular ones are just eyed towards certain people.
I believe it's there because of the pictures and the skills needed for the piece. Like let's say the book is really detailed and that can put off kids, because they're "never" able to finish it. So in a way of saying"they're easier" or child themed. It's easier for someone who wants to make a gift for children, but doesn't really know how to choose one, so yes a bit marketing there.
I personally also pick up anything that's attractive to my eye and don't care about the labels 😊
and I have done the worlds most detailed coloring book when I was 10 years old. r/thathappened
Imagine bragging about doing colour books...
I'm early but idk what to comment 😀🔪
Wow it's absolutely amazing. It spins me out how it looks at the beginning verses the final product. I love watching your work.💕💕💕
For all ur struggling with the road, it turned out AMAZING and is probably my favorite part. Like rainbow wet cobblestone. Beautiful.
it'd be cool to see this turn onto a series and you could complete the book like this!! it turned out great
Absolutely stunning! I love your flair on the Pinocchio piece and that you transferred it to wood was slightly ironic and cute ❤
Pinocchio is one of my favorite Disney movies, EVER! LOL I love the way you copied the piece onto the wood canvas and then painted it. You did a beautiful piece of work, and I love it. You should do it again, maybe one with Stitch and space or something else you like. Lovely work. Loved it.
Choosing the wood was the right move for this illustration!!! It looks great 👏👏👏
I LOVE THIS so much!! I never knew that hack about transferring ink. And I love how you did the Pinocchio drawing on a wood cutting!! Definitely would love to see more like this
Turned out amazing, I would love to see you do more of these videos!
Wow Chloe you did a fantastic job!! I love the new tip I learned from you on the ink transfer- I can't wait to try it myself..I would looove to see you do more videos like this..Keep up the great work, and be blessed❤
That was so perfect on the wood slice and just very fairy tale looking colors. You pulled it together so beautifully. I think a few pale stars just peeking out would have added a bit of interest to the sky, and countered the dots of lit windows in the valley. I would like to see you do more from this coloring book.
Loved watching this one and the outcome so much, it's so cute! 😍 Great job Chloe!
I remember reading that "lamp black" refers to the process of the lamp burning and depositing black soot on the glass chimney. By wiping it off and collecting it, artists had plenty of carbon black still one of the best sources of black paint.(obviously not manufactured by cleaning lamps today). This is one of your best paintings on wood so far!
Chloe that turned out beautifully!!! Definitely do more of these, it was such an interesting video!
I haven't even gotten to the painting part yet, but the transfer on wood looks so good! A series of just those in a nursery would be adorable!
