This vehicle-specific, multi-purpose base roof rack fits the specified vehicle with a bare roof. The system includes two Thule WingBar Evo load bars, four Thule Evo Clamp feet, and a Thule Evo fit kit.
Each component is predetermined, tested, and approved by Thule for the specified vehicle.
Locks are recommended and available separately in match sets.
The Thule WingBar Evo's internal structure creates an exceptionally strong load bar. Advanced aerodynamic design minimizes wind noise and drag. The upper T-track interface allows smooth installation and removal of compatible accessories. Thule fit engineers have predetermined the optimum bar length for this vehicle.
The Thule Evo Clamp is specifically designed for vehicles with a bare roof, the design features tool-free assembly and installs onto the vehicle securely with the included torque limiter tool.
The Thule EVO Clamp Fit Kit is engineered specifically for this vehicle with a bare roof. Custom shaped rubber pads rest directly on the roof at assigned locations and rubberized steel brackets grip to the vehicle's door frame.
The simplified three-part instructions are clearly illustrated to ensure confident assembly and installation of the roof rack.

Do you know if the thule fastride and topride are both strong enough for mtbs? Both have a stated max weight of 15kg which for the average mtb is only just under by approx 3kg

Great video, gave me the confidence install my roof bars. Initially, the feet didn't seem to fit when set to the width in the instructions. Paul's insight on loosening the ratchet was very helpful but I still had to adjust the distance between the feet a little.

great video thanks a lot, especially when you say : loosening it. But to carry a kayak, the distance between front and rear bars (710mm for my Kia Soul) is too small, so I installed the rear bar much further
Hello. Thanks! It's best to stick with the measurements provided, when it comes to the KIA Soul, the geometry of the rear door mounting area is mostly consistent so there may be some leeway to position further back.

sir, do you know where does the weight of the load goes to? does it go to thw side window frame? not the roof? i am thinking if this is ok over a stargazed glass moon roof, without railings.

Great video! Thanks for the full and detailed explanation. We just installed our Thule Clamps + Wingbar on our Golf Mk VII but had issues with the wideness. We had to shift the given distances between the two clamps by a few millimeters so that we could put it on.

Hello. It is possible, the correct method would to trim equal amounts from both ends to maintain the even curvature. The cut would need to be very precise for the end cap to press on flush and a special rectangular punch out would need to be added for the endcap tap to engage. For those who prefer the shortest bar possible, consider the Thule Edge Clamp system which uses flush ended feet that telescopically match the vehicle width perfectly. Thanks!

Hello. The BMW 3 Series (F30) 2012-2018 (North America) has a listing for fixed point connections, no bare roof fit using the Evo Clamp. Double check the vehicle fit guide, the results will include the list of approved components including the fit kit which will have a PDF instruction manual to review: www.rackattack.com/fit/

I was very nervous putting my brand new beach cruiser on this rack. ruclips.net/user/postUgkxG6JIgwJhur8_Rg8UeQ3EmePzi_wSncL8 But after reading many reviews I decided to get this one and take a chance. When arrived it was very simple to adjust and put together. I also added spike tape over the metal hooks before securing and tightening the straps, and no scratches. I also purchased the top bar made by the same company so that my cruiser sits straight on the rack without having to turn upside down. Extra bungee cords are used to secure the front wheel from flapping and even piece of mind knowing your bike is secure. Definitely recommend...

Hello! Im thinking about getting this rail. I have a question, since it's my first time, will the water enter the top part of the door, since the door rubber gasket isn't completely sealed due to the clamp? Sorry for the simple question.
Hello. The intrusion of the door frame bracket is minimal and generally only deforms the outer wind gasket slightly and has no impact on the other inner water gaskets. Thanks for asking!
why in none of these videos does it say which part of the order of the 3 will contain the slide scale?

How can you change the clamps for your car? Is there any video that shows that for wingbar evo?
Hello. Yes, a foot pack can be reconfigured for another vehicle base on the results of the fit guide. The rubber bases can be pealed off the foot bases and the metal brackets can be removed by pushing upward into the foot, then rotating inward, and then pulling down.

i am not mounting my front and rear bars that close together i will be adding 10 inches in between and its a shame that the top rubber track on the yakima is way better system that double rubber rail fails to easy and harder to work with
The installation instruction are layout by Thule for the best bar fitment on the vehicle.

Thanks for that video. A question. How do I use it with the Thule 599 UpRide?
The Thule 599 Upride was designed to work on all of Thule's and almost every brand's cross bars. You can either attach the Upride using the T-Bolts (comes in box) and sliding them into the bar's top channel. Or you can go "Old" School" and use the brackets and bolts to wrap the Upride around those crossbars. I've added the Upride's instructions below, I'm more of a picture person myself!

It's says on my drawings 40.5 were to set the ruler gadget to get the correct with but my black measurement black sticks only go to 35? Any help please
So basically the little black ruler mine only goes to 35 and it says on my drawings they should be set at 40

Yes, there will be a slight curve to the bar. As long as the curve is identical on the bars, you are good to go! If one bar is more curved than the other, however, reach out to us or the retailer you purchased from to assist.

Payed $400 just for the fit kit and the clamp. And an extra $250 for the actual crossbar. Seems very expensive for a roof rack
The prices are set by our supplier and are fairly comparable for the brand that we carry. This is so they can continue to offer their limited life time warranty on their products and supply the customer services necessary.
@@rackattack lifetime warranty but not covered by normal wear and tear such as rust. Lifetime warranty just covers defects in materials. This is all from carid where I bought mine.

Unfortunately, this option is not possible for that vehicle. Due to the age Thule no longer makes a standard fit for this vehicle. You will need a custom option to install crossbars on the vehicle
